Cozy Beach House in Nettles Island

Just renovated 1,100 s/f, 3/2 home with open floor plan located in a cozy community in the heart of Hutchinson Island. Private beach and pool for residents of the Nettles Island community. Sleeps 6-8 people. Full kitchen with lots of counter space, washer and dryer. Many activities offered within the community such as pickle ball, basketball, mini golf, shuffle board, Raquetball, tennis and ping pong. Within the community there is a marina with boat ramp, grocery store, a restaurant, golf cart rental for convenient access to the island and 24 hour security. .

Wonderful location for an April vacation with the family.

It's our third year in a row staying on Nettles resort. This was our first year in this home. It met all of our needs.

Nettles Island Stay

Our stay at this location was great. We enjoyed the various amenities that were offered including the private beach, pools, and games available. The cottage we stayed in was clean and met our family's needs. The hosts were responsive to our couple of questions. We look forward to staying here again.

Nettles island stay

This weals our second trip to nettles island and we all had a blast! The property at 2099 Nettles Blvd was clean, spacious and as advertised. We hope to possibly stay here again in the future

What a great place and easy to access! If you have younger kids, definitely go to pool by beach not the one deeper into community.

Stay 9n Nettles Island

The property was perfect for our family of 4. It could accommodate more if needed. Location is great and a short walk yo the beach or pool. There is a restaurant and market within walking distance which is very convenient. Comms with the owners were excellent. They were very responsive and helpful.

Great location

It was very easy to communicate with the owners, Amy and William. They went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The resort amenities were ideal for our family, never too crowded and easily accessible. I forgot something when we checked out and Amy went out of her way to have it sent to me. These owners get my highest rating!

Easter on Nettles

Great location! We loved the floor plan,bunk beds, and gaurded community. This was our second April on Nettles and we love it there! They even had a Easter egg hunt at the pool that was pretty nice since we were so far from home on Easter. The owners were very responsive and nice. Great listing!

better than expected

larger than it looks from the outside. This place can easily house a large family and with the two full baths, couples could vacation together and still have privacy. Can't beat Nettles Island.

To say we are unhappy about our stay is an understatement. The pictures will say a thousand words. This rental was not clean, updated or even safe (outlets with no covers). The host was unresponsive when we brought concerns to his attention. Also see the review from 2/24 we experienced exactly what they wrote on their review We had to go thru customer service at Vrbo to get some of our money back as the host was unresponsive

Perfect vacation getaway!

My family really enjoyed staying at the Boyd's house in Nettles Island! The home was immaculate and had everything we needed. The couch was the most comfortable thing on the planet (we all commented how awesome it was), and the master bed was like sleeping on a cloud. The owners were very responsive with any questions or inquiries we had before & during our stay. We also loved where the property was located within Nettles Island. We rented a golf cart from a local guy ($30/day), went to the beach across the road, enjoyed both heated pools, mini golf, shuffle board, and my 3 yr old was obsessed with the sand pit. The only thing we found a bit strange was that we couldn't get anyone through the guardhouse ourselves (since we were "visitors"), but the owner was quick to contact the guardhouse & get our guest a visitor's pass for the day. Overall, I'd for sure recommend both the island and the property!

TCL Needed

I have to rate this place with a 2 star rating only based on the condition of the property. The property is in desperate need of TLC and updating. Bathroom exhaust fans rusted, wall spackle on ceiling missing and falling. Bedroom windows non opening screens were laying on the ground and the glass can not be cleaned and can barely see out. The back door is missing door knob stop so the only way the door stay closed is to have the dead bolt on. The property grounds needs serious cleaning. The thing that was most bothering was I noticed the smoke detectors were not flashing and so I opened to see if battery needed to be replaced and found there was no battery AND they were unplugged from the house power so would have never worked in the event of a fire. There were two smoke detectors with both of them disconnected. The shower in the main bathroom had very low pressure so we never used it. The shower in the master bedroom had reversed cold/hot water plumbing as well as the vanity sink. We did have an Internet interruption in which the owners worked diligently to get resolved quickly and was greatly appreciated because my wife and my self work remotely. The golf cart rental was not good as well, the cart would not stay charged and was so slow we was afraid it would break down. This was our 4th time staying on the island and the property is on the bottom of our list.

Such a fun place for Christmas owners where always available when we didn't know how to operate anything. Tons of activities at the rec centers and a great location 2hr from Orlando snorkeling at peanut island was the best

Fantastic Place to Stay!!

Staying at Nettles Island is always great, but staying in this house was the best!! There is plenty of space and it is such a pretty house. The beds were very comfortable and appreciate the towels and detailed directions. We will definitely stay here again!!

Great place to stay

The place was nice and clean. It had everything we needed for a family vacation. The wifi and cable didn’t work and I had to wait till noon one day for the repair man and even then it went out the very next day but it wasn’t a big deal. The hosts were helpful with any issues and always got back to us promptly. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Family fun

We had an excellent stay here in Nettles Island. William and Amy have an excellent property and responded quickly to any questions we had. It was the perfect size for our family of 6 (kids ages 13-22). Kids all had space and everything was well stocked, comfortable, and functional. Highly recommend!
