An easy 2hr drive from NYC and located in beautiful Greene County, this charming one-story house has been recently renovated with total relaxation and peace in mind. Time stands still as you enter the house to be greeted with spacious rooms offering inviting and expansive views of greenery and the river.

This country retreat is located at the end of a quiet dead-end road with only a few neighbors visible through the trees. The area is rural and beautiful all times of the year, yet still close enough to civilization to have plenty of local activities with restaurants, breweries, hiking trails, bird sanctuaries, boat tours, historic landmarks and antique stores galore. The fabled and fashionable town of Hudson, NY is only a 20-minute drive away.

However, you just might find it hard to leave your base of tranquility. The spacious patio beckons as a place to enjoy drinks or lunches and dinners while watching boats sail by. On cool nights, the fire pit is an alluring place to chat with friends under starlit skies or a glowing full moon.

Of course there is great mobile/cell coverage and speedy wifi (fiber) for those that want to keep in touch with the outside world.

Great Hudson River Home

Lovely home with beautiful views of the Hudson River. If quiet and relaxing is what you want, this is the perfect spot. Good restaurants and lots to do in the area. The owner is very friendly and responsive.

Relaxing and Quiet with Lovely Views

Enjoy the view and quiet at this lovely home on the Hudson River. The owner is very responsive and great to deal with. I recommend this home very highly. Lots of things to do in the area and some very nice restaurants.

Amazing!

It was such a pleasure to stay at the glorious River Retreat! With spectacular views, total solitude, and every creature comfort you could possibly want (including central AC, comfortable beds and original Mario Bros. (!!)). I can't wait to come back!

Lovely home and location in Coxsackie

We had a great 4-night stay for a wedding in Coxsackie. The house was perfect for myself and my wife, and our two grown boys and their girlfriends (plus our friendly family dog). The house is quite comfortable with every detail covered and the location with expansive views of the Hudson is absolutely beautiful. Fun little town with lots to explore too. Highly recommended - worthy of the 5 star review.

Cozy, charming rental

We loved our stay at Hudson River Retreat! The property description is accurate, in fact the rental exceeded our expectations. It is decorated beautifully and the living and kitchen areas are designed to highlight the expansive lawn which also has a view of the river. The home has comfortable areas for reading or chatting, and also features a large patio area. Our only disappointment is that we couldn't stay longer!

Scenic stay

We had a very relaxing weekend at this scenic house. Directions were very clear and the guide book they provided was very thorough. Dan was attentive and responsive to the few questions we did have. Would definitely come back!

Lovely spot, beautiful view

Finding a place that offers handicap accessibility is challenging, but that is what I needed to find for our family get together of siblings who live far apart. This house offered that in a beautiful, quiet spot with a spectacular view. The house is lovely and comfortable and provided a lovely spot to relax and be together. The view of the river, passing ships, beautiful landscape, abundant birds, and cute chipmunks was mesmerizing and soothing. It was great.

Peaceful and Wonderful

This home offers beautiful views of the Hudson River. The setting is very private and peaceful. You can grill dinner and enjoy on the deck or there are great restaurants within 30 minutes. The house has been remodeled recently; kitchen and baths redone...Very clean. And it's even better than the photos. There is much to see in the Hudson Valley. I highly recommend this home!

Wonderful river house!

We had a perfect, relaxing week at the river house. The home itself was beautifully decorated but the star of the show was the porch and the yard! We enjoyed coffee on the porch as the sun rose over the Hudson, dinner and drinks in the porch in the evening, and fire pit every night. Communication and check-in was easy and quick. A great stay all-around.

Beautiful home with spectacular views of the Hudson!

We had everything we needed to fully enjoy our stay. The home was spotless and spacious. There are many games and puzzles, a fire pit for s’mores, a pool table, darts and lots more. We especially enjoyed the fabulous views from the back porch with our morning coffee, while reading and relaxing, and when gathered around the outdoor table for family dinners.

Family Getaway

The property is even better in person than the photos! We wanted a change of scenery and it’s picturesque. Between the town of Hudson and some other local attractions, and relaxing on the porch, we were very happy and relaxed. Dan was an awesome host and very attentive. Perfect Getaway

We absolutely loved this rental. It felt like a home away from home with all the accoutrements one could ask for. There are plenty of activities, the place is so relaxing with an excellent view of the Hudson. Dan was an amazing and responsive host. Another Great Stay

Dan is a wonderful host, very attentive and responsive. Second time at the house, it feels like our home. House is well kept, very clean and comfortable. Great place to gather with friends and family. We got to use the fire pit this trip and it was a delightful. Love the sun streaming in through the kitchen window and BBQing and sitting on the deck. Thanks for a great week.
