The Perfect Lake House dans le parfait emplacement sur le lac principal .. cette maison de style chalet offre un plafond voûté dans la grande salle fabuleuse, cheminée, 2 chambres et salle de bain complète au niveau principal. Accès facile à la grande terrasse au bord du lac pour des réceptions en plein air avec des vues exceptionnelles sur le mont Catskill et le lac principal !! Il y a une grande salle de bains principale avec salle de bain complète à l'étage supérieur. Au niveau du lac se trouve une immense salle familiale, une chambre avec un studio et une salle de bain complète avec 2 jeux de portes coulissantes qui mènent à un coin salon au bord du lac et au chemin menant à votre quai privé. 8-10 personnes. We had a great stay. The waterside location was in itself worth the price of admission, listening to the birds’ early morning songs while drinking a steaming cup of coffee, swimming and paddle boarding in the lake, roasting marshmallows in the fire pit at dusk, watching late night movies on the big screen until our eyelids got heavy, falling into a deep sleep in the cool dark bedrooms, and then doing it all over again the next day, what more could one ask for in the waning days of summer. Thanks!

This was a return visit to Mike's property as we have stayed in his home 3 other times.We travel with our children and grandchildren and spend the week cooking together and enjoying the beautiful lake property.Our grandchildren have begun to call our vacation the "Red House" vacation as everyone is very comfortable in this well appointed space. Each time we return there have been additions/upgrades to this well maintained home. The lake is perfect for swimming, fishing, and boating.A big thanks to Mike for sharing his home with our family.

Incredible experience at a lakeside oasis. Our group visited for the weekend and wish we had stayed longer! The house being right on the lake with kayaks and paddleboats easily accessible, fireplace ambiance, and nearby pools and tennis courts made for a fun-filled active weekend. The host was extremely helpful and very quick to respond to any questions we had, 11/10 would highly recommend and return for another visit soon.

Perfect Getaway for a Family

I took my NYC family to Sleepy Hollow Lake and all of them enjoyed it. There was plenty to do at the house but there was also the pool and beach that worked for the younger children. This was our second time at this house and hopefully there will be many more.

Lakeside Pleasure

We all loved everything about our stay at Chalet Vinci on Sleepy Hollow Lake. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The lake was beautiful and we enjoyed spending time down on the dock swimming, canoeing, fishing and relaxing! It was agreed that it was one of the best vacations!!

Lovely lake house

Great location. Stayed previously and enjoyed the updated kitchen. House very comfortable for all ages. Safe new dock. Even caught a few fish off of it. Would definitely stay again. Everything is as advertised!

Our family vacation

Our family enjoyed our stay at Sleepy Hollow Lake - the house was awesome for six adults - plenty of room - loved the steps down to the lake & solar lights for safety. The fire pit, peddle boat, kayak, deck & dock were all great. Plenty of privacy & very friendly community. Would certainly rent this house again!

Great house on a beautiful property!

The place was perfect for a weekend getaway with friends — the house had plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms that housed our group of 8 very comfortably. There was so much to do just on the property (canoeing on the lake, starting the fire pit, playing games, watching a move) that we barely left the house. Highly recommend!

Worth the wait!

We’ve vacationed a few times now with another family and this location was the best so far. Private bedrooms/bathrooms and the game room downstairs is excellent! Water from the dock is very deep and clean…great for swimming, kayaking, etc. We’ll be back…highly recommend it.

Family Time at SHL

The property worked well for our family group of six adults, two teens and a toddler. We all enjoyed the lake access, kayaks, paddle board and pedal boat. We also took advantage of the pool area.The neighborhood was very quiet yet close enough to towns to enjoy an afternoon at breweries in Hudson or Catskill. We also took a hike at Kaaterskill Falls. All in all a great family vacation at Sleepy Hollow Lake.

Second stay as good as the first!

For the second year in a row my family vacationed with some friends and had an absolute blast! (6 of us in total) Great house and spot on the lake! Plenty of room for us, swimming and kayaking is excellent. Even on rainy days the hangout room downstairs provides a lot of fun. Planning to go back next year!

Perfect lake vacation

This could not have been better for our family of three generations: five adults, a 5- and a 7-year old, The best location near the top of the lake! House was clean, spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped. We took advantage of the canoe, kayak, pedal boat and SUP. We caught fish off the dock. We grilled out every night. Also, within a five minute drive you can play tennis or swim in a nice pool.

We were seven adults and could have comfortably fit at least two more people. The lake access and accessories were awesome especially with three really hot days during our stay. The AC worked great, which I really appreciated. We took advantage of the community pool and Pickleball courts and had a lot of fun with them. There was plenty of room for all of us to have our own space but yet could come altogether with great areas in the house to hang out. Pool table and darts were a big hit. There was lots to explore in the surrounding towns. We really loved this house and we were all sad to leave since we had such a great, relaxing vacation at the lake house!

Relaxing and beautiful

We had a wonderful stay on the lake! It was a relaxing weekend for the 6 of us, and plenty of room! We loved the canoe, kayak, and SUP. It rained most of the weekend, but we were still able to enjoy the lake and make a cozy fire. The fireplace indoors, however, was not working. And one night it got pretty cold! Recommend getting it working for colder month visitors! :)

Excellent VRBO for families with Great Lake swimming

We were two families with kids aged 6-10. The lake access was fantastic, there were water craft in good condition and plenty of PFDs. House fit our crew easily and we loved the base zone with pool table and darts. Lots of fun games as well. Kitchen was well stocked and despite a slightly tight counter space we did cook 6 dinners for 9 people without any problems. Grill with extra propane was a nice touch too! The lake temperature is really nice even for early June. I would recommend this place with hesitation for families or groups looking for a comfortable lake house.

Another great lake week!

This was a return trip to Mike & Angela's home for our annual family lake vacation. Our week consists of cooking meals together and spending as much time as possible in the lake! We returned after 2 years to find that there have been changes to the front entrance stairs, the dock, and some new living room furniture! Lovely upgrades!We had a wonderful week! Mike & Angela's home is on an off-shoot of the main lake, so it's very quiet with little boat traffic. What makes our family the happiest is swimming off the dock! The water is deep and pristine! Canoeing and kayaking are a big hit with our son and his young children.If you love the water, you will not be disappointed!

Sleepy hollow

Lovely community, But there was a leak under the kitchen sink. This had to b known, as there was a big bowl underneath. Ultimately the leak entered the basement ceiling and a tile fell off… leaving a musty odor. Property needs more attention, but we enjoyed our stay. The lake is beautiful!

The property was renovated this past year. The leak (which comes with home ownership) was fixed prior to your stay. If it relapsed, we wish you would’ve said something when you first arrived and not after you checked out. We’re happy you still enjoyed your stay.

Wonderful dock and lakefront

We chose this property for the large dock right on the lake, with easy access from the house. That's where our group of siblings in our 60's likes to hang out. The dock and the shady area with hammock by the lake was a real treat. The kitchen area was small but we managed to cook and improvise. We enjoyed eating our meals on the large deck overlooking the lake. No bugs in July! The three upstairs bedrooms are great. The basement level has lots of space, with a room in the back with a door but no window. Beyond the house, we enjoyed playing pickleball and bocce on the courts that belong to the community, as well as walking and biking the friendly community roads.

Lovely house - and quiet as promised

We've rented a lake house every summer for the past 12 years, and this was one of the nicest we've had. The house is on one of the narrow inlets on Sleepy Hollow Lake lake, and the only motorized traffic was from pontoon boats, which are no-wake and almost silent. Even though other houses are quite close on either side, the trees provide great privacy (and lots of bird song), and you're not really aware of the neighbors. Swimming was excellent - no algae growth or weeds on the lake even after an unusually hot July. We enjoyed the deck and the dock area, especially the fire pit in the evening. As other reviews have mentioned, the kitchen is a little small, but very functional, and all the basic supplies you need. Communication with the owners was very good, with quick responses to our questions. Would definitely consider renting again.

Return to Sleepy Hollow Gem

We returned to Sleepy Hollow Lake and this lovely home after having stayed here in 2017! We loved it the first time and enjoyed it even more this time! This was a family trip to enjoy one another's company and time on the lake. We swam and kayaked for a good part of every day. We cooked all our meals in and didn't leave the property except for quick trips out to restock our essentials. The kitchen has been completely renovated since we were last here and it's absolutely beautiful! This is a well cared for home that supplies all the essentials for an enjoyable stay! The lake is absolutely divine...clean, clear, and inviting! Interacting with Mike, the owner, and Pat, the property manager, is seamless. Responses to questions are promptly answered! Our family votes this one of our best lake weeks ever and we will look to return next year!
