Fun getaway, lots of sun and fishing

This little property was great! We knew of the limited amenities based on the listing, but the use of the dock and parking access was awesome. The management staff responded to all of our questions promptly. The homeowners were visiting another home on the property and could not have been more welcoming. Laid back and relaxed. Thanks for another wonderful visit to Captiva.

Shelling getaway

Old friends good time. Kindfisher was great to.work with. The cottage was in a quiet part of town. It was clean but could use some updating. It was not walkable to the beach maybe if I was 30 again. Lol. The Hurricane had done a number to the Island and they are slowly coming back.parking at the beaches and hard to get a place un less you get up early. I would stay here again

Thank you for your review! We're so glad you had a great time and that you found our cottage clean and in a peaceful location. We appreciate your kind words about our team—we loved hosting you! We understand that the walk to the beach may be easier for some than others (lol, we totally get it!), and we appreciate your feedback about updates. The island is indeed bouncing back from the hurricane, and we hope things continue to improve. We'd love to welcome you back anytime! Kingfisher Vacations

This listing is not accurate at all, captiva beach is not walking distance and all beaches that are driving distance at 40 a day for parking. When I booked this it said pet friendly all fees included and gave me a total price for the trip, when we got there multiple things needed to be addressed by maintenance so they came to the property to fix things, they saw I had my pets with me and proceeded to tell me it was 400 extra per pet. So my vacation began not so pleasantly.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re truly sorry to hear that your stay didn’t meet your expectations. Since your reservation was made through a third-party platform, we sincerely apologize for any miscommunication regarding the pet fee. We do our best to make all fees clear in our property description, and we’ll review the listing again to ensure it’s as transparent as possible. Regarding beach access, we understand how important location is for our guests. The listing does mention that this property does not have deeded beach access and that the closest beaches are a short drive away with public parking available. We appreciate you sharing your experience, as it helps us improve. We hope you’ll consider giving us another chance in the future so we can provide a more enjoyable stay. Kingfisher Vacations

Captiva Cabin

Everything was as expected. The issue we had was the dishwasher leaked on the second day of our stay all over the kitchen floor. Maintenance came the next day and said it couldn’t be fixed. A contractor came on Wednesday at 6:30pm without prior notice and completed the job at 8:30pm. The contractor was excellent and did a great job however being without a dishwasher for 5 out of 7 days of our stay and the timeliness of the repair was very inconvenient. We expected to be offered a refund of at least one day but was never contacted. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return.

Not what was advertised

The listing stated beach property but there was no beach, just pier which you could not access the water due to ladder full of barnacles. Cabin description was 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms which actually belonged to another house on the property. They house itself had issues with worms and bugs. They ended up switching us to another house with a pool which was nice because we now had no water access except a block and a half walk to the beach. There was a bad rotten egg smell a couple of days after we were there and it appeared that the septic was sipping out. T he management company was very helpful in trying to help with the situation.
