The perfect spot for some family fun or a weekend getaway on Lake Freeman!

(Note: We are a completely non-smoking home meaning we do not allow any smoking in our home OR on our land, deck, dock, etc.)

Our Favorite Features:
- Spacious multi-level porch/deck with access to the lake
- Outdoor gas fire pit and built in grill area
- Large windows with lake views in the open living space
- Amazing sunrises and sets over lake from the deck, patio, or main living space.
- Bonus hideaway above the kitchen/second bedroom that's perfect for older kids to hang out on a rainy day!

Other Property Highlights:
- Internet WiFi, Cable & DVD player on the family room TV
- Firewood provided on the property. All you need to bring is food and drinks!
- Coffee and tea station
- Just over 30 minutes from Purdue's campus

Answers to Frequently Asked Questions:
- Early check-ins/late check-outs may be available upon request for an additional fee of 10$/hr.
- There is a boat lift that may be available for use for an additional fee of $100. Must be requested & paid for at least one week prior to your stay to guarantee its availability.

We are located in a residential community and, although this is a holiday destination, it's home to many people. As such we ask that you respect their privacy and their right to a peaceful existence! Specifically, between the hours of 10pm and 8am noise should be kept to a minimum.

Great weekend getaway

This was the perfect property for our weekend getaway. Our family had a qonderful time here. This property was a great and quiet. We enjoyed time on the big deck in back as well as time spent inside playing games. There is plenty to do here.

Perfect Getaway

We had a fantastic stay at the lakeside cottage! It was a perfect little place with a wonderful view of the lake. The huge deck was a big plus and many places to sit in the shade and sun. A great spot to fish off the dock and the place had all the things we needed to make our weekend wonderful.

We had a great stay. Lots of deck with good views of the lake. The location is quiet and peaceful. The only small issue we had was very low water pressure inside the cabin, especially in the kitchen and then some wasps around the deck but nothing some raid wouldn’t take care of. Overall it was a wonderful trip!! I’d recommend this place to any family wanting a lake getaway.

Loved our stay here. The lake was beautiful, the neighborhood was quiet, the house was cute and perfect for us, though we spent most of our time outside. A little slice of heaven.

This property was truly amazing. The views were stunning; the sunsets and sunrises were to die for. The property was clean and kept up to date, and the host was straightforward to communicate with. I would not change a thing, except maybe I would have stayed another week if I had had the time off.

Amazingly accommodating!!

Our family had a wonderful week at Lake Freeman!!! Grace is the best host I have worked with on VRBO. She went above and beyond! The location is beautiful and the multiple level decks made sitting outside so enjoyable!!!! We had a blast and will definitely be back!!

Perfect little Lakehouse

This house was so cute. The owner thought of everything, from linens and towels to little extras you may forget. The deck was amazing and takes you diwn to the water. The decor is nice and not dated or overly complex. The place is quiet and peaceful...just what we needed. The owner was responsive and all that was advertised was true. Enjoyed our stay very much.

Relaxing Getaway perfect for couples or family!

Grace was AWESOME to work with. So accommodating and helpful in planning activities to do while there. Home very clean and well maintained, deck area and swimming in the lake so peaceful. Enjoyed coffee overlooking lake every morning, and s'mores by fire pit every night. Many upgraded luxuries too, including some thoughtful toiletries and cooking items! Would highly recommend and may go again!

Great Getaway for Work OR Fun

Gorgeous, comfortable home with all the amenities. We enjoyed the deck and stairs down to the lake, the comfortable beds and the spacious living area. We were there for a work retreat, and the natural light pouring through the large windows was wonderful ... as well as a great place to put postit notes while we were thinking out loud! We will be BACK next year! Thank you Grace! (Also found the Oak and Barrel restaurant to be outstanding)

Great property, beautiful area, kind host

Grace is great to talk with: very communicative and answered questions of mine, not just about the property but also about some plans that I was making. The space is a little smaller than it looks, but, let's be real, everybody tries to make their space look bigger online. It ended up being very cozy and housed all of us with lots of room! The decks are easily the best part of this experience. Such a beautiful view and easy lake access for swimming.

Beautiful home

My husband and I booked this home for a weekend getaway. We grew up around the area and invited some family members over during the day for boat rides and a mini cookout. The home is exactly as listed in a secluded neighborhood and is stocked with everything you’ll need. It was very quiet and peaceful stay. Only complaint was the outside lights wouldn’t work so it was very dark at night. Great communication with the host! We are hoping to make this a yearly summertime trip!

Monicello cottage

We found the place with just a little help. Found the key where it was told to look. We found that the place was dusty, toilet broke in one bathroom, question about furniture outside, dishes and pots and pans had to be washed before we used them. TV in one room did not work. I wrote an email to the owner but she never replied to us. Would I stay there again. No we would not. Loved the peacefulness of the place but I know there are other places to stay. Sorry

I’m so so sorry about the inconveniences experienced during your stay. While not at all an excuse, this was in fact our first booking and we’ve already implemented changes to address these concerns. As for cleanliness, we’ve updated our schedule so if the house is ever vacant for a short period, we now have it refreshed shortly before the next guest arrives. I would however like to say that it is not true that I didn’t respond to the email. I did respond just over an hour after I received it and was working to address all of your concerns at the time. Regardless, I’m again very sorry this impacted your stay, but I do thank you for the feedback so I can keep improving the experience at our home.
