Moonridge Mountain Retreat!

Nestled in Moonridge, our 3BR/2BA home presents incredible access to Bear Mountain & Snow Summit resorts, Big Bear Lake, the Golf Course, the Zoo, and the Village. The home sleeps up to 6.

Located on a quiet cul-de-sac in Moonridge, our Moonridge Mountain Retreat is an ideal 3BR/2BA haven for your mountain getaway. We've put a lot of love into our family cabin and it has returned the same to us. We hope it also provides you with a great mountain escape.

Our cabin is just 3-5 minutes from Bear Mountain resort, the golf course and the zoo. Add on only 3-5 minutes more to be at the Lake, Snow Summit Resort, or the Village. A stroll down the neighborhood street is a nature walk unto itself. Walk only 5 minutes to the beautiful national forest to enjoy miles of hiking and mountain biking trail. During the snow season its not uncommon to see kids sledding down the small banks of Sand Canyon directly across the street for hours of fun during the snow season.

The home has a great living area with vaulted ceiling's, 2 bedrooms and one full bathroom upstairs and 1 bedroom and one full bathroom downstairs. The wraparound forest-view deck is surrounded by trees and has a BBQ and outdoor dining table.

**Please note, during snow season months the outdoor dining table and BBQ will be unavailable for use.**

**Big Bear Lake is a remote & rugged mountain area, they aren't frequent, be there can be intermittent internet and power outaages**

**There is NO garage access. Please see "Other details to note," for a few additional items.**

Note: You may need chains during the winter months. We recommend checking the weather and road requirements before driving.

Short answer: Highly recommend this place!Long answer:The house is very nice and comfy. The direct access from parking to house (no stairs) is a huge plus with young kids and elderly parents. The location is great, very secluded. The house on one side is very tight but you don't notice. Lots of empty land around and it's about 2 blocks from the start of uninhabited forest. The only slight drawback of the location (no deduction, just something to be aware of) would be for warmer seasons. The outdoor space around the house isn't great for small kids to run around (very hilly).The inside of the house was perfect for our family of 6 in the winter. The main floor bedroom not requiring stairs is another big plus for elderly guests. The kitchen is great, stocked with every item we needed for a great Christmas dinner (even a meat thermometer). Bathrooms are nice. However, the toilets are cadet size, terrible for adults! No deductions, but I would say changing them to full size would be highly recommended (and I have small kids! ).The bedrooms are cozy and comfortable with great beds. The only thing lacking is some drawer space in two of them. They do have large closets. Living space was very comfy with two large couches. The electronic ignition on the fireplace was awesome! I've never experienced a gas fireplace that's as easy to light as this one is. My only constructive criticism is it needs throw blankets for the winter as the leather couches get very cold.Overall,

Skier friendly , NOT family friendly

The pictures on this VRBO listin are misleading there is NO grill to use, NO oustide table to sit on. The garage is non useable its locked, there is NO washer and dryer. The bathroom tubs were scary and very worn covered with plastic no slip thing. House beautiful overall but very dated. There is a tv in the main room in the ad, we got there NO tv in bedroom. There was a disposal but wasnt allowed to use. No one could visit or come in house, there was a tv in dinning disconnected, couldnt use. Over all this is perfect for skiers who just want to ski, this is NOT for a family on vaction, you have to go to laundromat to wash, kitchen was fully stocked but for who? if you cant have visitors? Again this listing needs to be update its very misleading. Check in was so so had to wait on someone to come the next day and sign a paper about city of big bear rules.

3 Day get away

Great property, perfect for our family of 5. Great front yard for sledding. Be sure to bring chains in the winter, it’s a must. Will be staying here again. The hosts were fantastic!

We stayed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Our family enjoyed very much this beautiful, cozy and clean house. It has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. It is less than 10 minutes to the ski resort which is very convenient. Drew and Ivan were very nice and we’re in constant communication with us. Check in and out was very easy. We can’t wait to go back and enjoy this beautiful home again.

Great Cabin for Families

Great cabin and perfect location for my family. Good location and neighborhood. Good spot for sledding with the kids. The cabin had enough room and space for 6 people and dining area for the family. Will definitely reserve this cabin again next year! Drew and Ivan we great during the check-in process.

Awesome home!

This was a great Big Bear home to stay in. We have stayed in several VRBO homes and this was definitely one of the best. The home is comfortable, clean, well stocked and ready for your vacation. The location is perfect in a quiet neighborhood that feels like you are in the middle of the forest yet close enough to the main Big Bear attractions.

Big Bear Thanksgiving

My family and I enjoyed our stay over the Thanksgiving weekend. The cabin was clean, about 10 mins to The Village and Drew provided all the details making check-in and check-out easy. Definitely plan on staying here again.
