Cabane en bord de rivière sur 1 acre - 14 minutes du centre-ville de Durango

‘Our 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom single level cabin is on 1 acre and sits directly on the Florida River offering privacy and seclusion along with amazing fishing. The cabin is adjacent to BLM land offering even more river frontage to the west. There is also a small neighborhood lake just a short walk away that features a beach and more fishing as well as paddle boarding etc.

Its hard to believe the cabin is less then 15 minutes from historic downtown Durango.

The cabin has a fantastic covered deck next to the river and features all the standard amenities including super fast Starlink WIFI, Cable TV, washer/dryer and nostalgic western memorabilia as well as amazing paintings the owner painted.

Consistent with most Colorado mountain resorts, the cabin does not offer air-conditioning. Additionally, the cabin is not pet friendly, so please do not bring the furry friends.

Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).

Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding etc.) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours etc.) activities.

Please note that, like most properties in the area, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s.

This property is beautiful! The cabin is furnished in a very tasteful and artful manner yet very comfortable. The river is feet from the covered deck and with the windows open you can hear it throughout the house. The host was very helpful! Highly recommend this place!

A wonderful, peaceful place on the river

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We visited in Sept with my daughter and grandson. The property is very private, at the end of the road in a small neighborhood. The neighborhood itself is very clean and quiet. Being on the Florida River, we had the peaceful sound of the running water. Our grandson loved playing with the rocks at the shore of the river (with close adult supervision!). The house was nice and clean; I especially appreciated the small sample packs of various soap and lotion in the bathroom and kitchen. Lots of electrical outlets, super helpful since we had 3 phones and other items to charge. We were very comfortable the entire time.The location is perfect. Its near town but also very rural- the best of both worlds. Not super hard to find, just look for the sign at the end of the driveway. The management company was very responsive and helpful. The texted us reminders but not too many as to be annoying. The instructions are sent via email and all information is in an online portal which you can check at anytime. I guess they sent it about a week out from our scheduled stay. Some tips for your stay: if you like coffee, be sure to bring a bag of your favorite coffee to brew. There is not a Keurig. There are however, plenty of pots, pans and other misc kitchen items if you plan to cook much. We did not, but I would say bring your favorite seasonings, as only basic stuff is provided. Also we had our grandson with us. The house has a LOT of really cool stuff, some regional, historic items which are so beautiful and interesting. We kept our grandson busy, and he loves being outside, so we did not have many issues with him trying to handle these items, BUT if you are planning to bring a small child who will not be able to resist playing with these things, this may not be the place for you. With regard to small children, this property has a beautiful river but you will need to WATCH your child for safety reasons. We recommend this place and would definitely stay here ag

Perfect spot for our family

Beautiful location!!!

The pictures of the property do NOT do it justice! To be right on the river and catch trout in the backyard was an amazing experience for our family. The home was comfortable and had everything we needed. We had a great time and enjoyed our experience there. If we ever vacation in Durango in the future, I’d definitely stay at this home again!

Excellent Stay - Any Season

We loved this property and the cabin itself. The only thing was the listing showed photos of a room with 2 bunk beds but there were only 3 double beds available, so one kiddo slept on the couch. He enjoyed sleeping by the fire though,so it all worked out.

Loved the location and the rushing stream just off the porch. Great place to enjoy that morning coffee and in the Colorado mountains. Catching a few trout made it even better. Nice home and location.

Family vacation

My husband and I, and my mother, spent five days in Durango. The Between the Waters home was a perfect fit for us. The river just steps from the back deck made for soothing time to just sit and enjoy, both the river and the cool weather. The home itself had plenty of room for the three of us.

Spring vacation

Great cozy home. The location was good for getting to town. I wish the river had more flow to it so we could have fished. That being said it was still the end of winter and things were still frozen. All in all it was a great trip. I would definitely stay here again.
