This 1,300 sf waterfront house is nestled into the hillside of the Muskegon River in Stanwood Michigan on a private road. The quiet country location is peaceful and beautiful yet only 10 minutes from downtown Big Rapids. This meticulously maintained home can be used as a summer getaway on the water or a winter retreat close to snowmobile trails. The main level entrance contains a family room with fantastic river views. There is also a full kitchen, dining area, utility room with washer/dryer, full bath and bedroom on this main level. Relax outside on the huge deck and feel like you are right over the river! Go upstairs for an additional bedroom, full bath and an a large 20x24 living area with scenic river views. Bring your fishing pole and cast a line! Feel free to bring your own boat and attach to the 30' seawall; this river opens up into a large all-sports lake right before Roger's Dam. Two kayaks and life jackets are also available for your use on the seawall.
For the safety and security of our guests, there are exterior security cameras mounted at the 2 house entrances plus on the back deck. There are no cameras inside the home. Guest privacy is important to us. Once you arrive, the owner camera notifications are turned off for your privacy.

Cozy home on the river. Many thoughtful and kind touches including snacks. Our host was kind, informative and quick to reply. Rules and instructions easy to find and follow. Only a short drive to Big Rapids and the campus of Ferris State University. Was nice to be here for graduation weekend and would gladly stay again.

This was my second stay here, it was absolutely amazing both times. The house is so beautiful, super cozy, and equipped with everything you may need. The Hosts are so kind and welcoming. I am will definitely be back, it’s becoming our favorite getaway!

Everything was better than pictured!

We enjoyed this home so much that we stayed home more than we had planned. It was clean, very well stocked and a beautiful location. The grill was wonderful. We enjoyed the deer prints on the beach area each day and the privacy the home provided. Probably one of the best VRBO locations we have been to.

I was very impressed with the river house! It was very clean and located in a quiet neighborhood! The views of the river were amazing! We enjoyed fishing and kayaking right from the property! The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and utensils! I would definitely stay again!

Kevin and Gail’s home was a treat! It was so relaxing to sit and enjoy the lovely river view. My husband, mother and two young daughters stayed and had an absolutely wonderful time- everything we could have needed was inside and the hosts were so friendly and clear in communication with us! Very clean house, right on the Muskegon river. It was a perfect home away home - did not miss anything. the entire house is very clean - bedrooms, bathrooms etc. We had a great stay.

Peaceful Stay

The home is clean and well kept. We enjoyed the calm water and how peaceful it always was. The kids enjoyed fishing and swimming off the front of the house.

We were gifted to have a second chance in life and blessed to have found each other. Kevin was born and raised in Utah, Gail is a Michigan resident. When we realized how well we blended, we also decided to blend our residences! So with a house in Utah and now this beautiful river house in Michigan, we decided it was the perfect home to share with others when we can't be there.
