Adorable Little Beach House~ The Wubie Shack

One of Folly's Best! The Wubie Shack is your own oasis in the heart of Folly’s East End. The large shaded yard under the giant Live Oak with the spacious wood deck allows you to sit in the shade and enjoy Folly Beach weather all year long. This 2 bedroom 1 bath home has natural sunlight throughout from large windows to skylights in the bedrooms. This house is a perfect Folly Beach home with a modern flare. No matter if it's a quick romantic weekend or a week-long stay on a gorgeous beach, The Wubie Shack is ready for you. The ocean is just a block away. You're a short walk or bike ride from the northeast end of the island with up-close views of the famous Morris Island lighthouse. A short bike ride in the other direction puts you right at the restaurants, shops and bars along Center Street and the Folly Pier. You can also go by the iconic 24/7 Bert's Market for some organic vegetables, a bottle of wine or a growler of one of your favorite micro-brews. Downtown Charleston is a short 20 minute drive in the car making Wubie Shack the perfect location for visitors looking to experience a little bit of everything Charleston and the South Carolina coast have to offer. Numerous amenities include three ROKU HD TVs and high-speed internet. Allowing you to catch up on your favorite streaming services when you have enjoyed a long day at the beach. The Wubie Shack allows up to 3 well-behaved, house-broken, flea-treated dogs with approval. Please include the breed and size of your dogs when you inquire.

Nice location

Location is definitely the best feature. However, I do realize it was a holiday weekend but for almost 1200 for a 2 night stay I'd expect things a little more polished. Flapper in the toilet tank didn't work, had to take off tank lid to get toilet to stop running. Patio furniture on deck was filthy. The roaches/Palmetto bugs IN the house were excessive...like, running everywhere at night. And yes, i get that it's the beach and SC but, an exterminator would be helpful. Cute little beach house otherwise.

It was real nice. Just the two of us. The area was quiet. The beach was close. The weather was great. The Woobi shack was clean.That was comfortable. It was nice to have the washer and dryer available as well. Thank you for a great day. We will book for next year.

Our stay

The property was great, very small but it worked for us. We traveled with our pets and the yard and deck were great for the dogs. Would rent again.

My Best friend and I like to get away from kids and grandchildren for a few days for a recharge . Nothing more relaxing like the beach. I woul not advise more than two occupants due to one bath. Very small but we loved it. Very cozy. Very

Great Folly getaway

This was a lovely little place, small and simple, but very clean. Beds are comfortable. Love having TVs in the bedrooms. There were several cosmetic issues but nothing that affected functionality. However it would seem for the amount of rent charged they could afford to fix these issues. None of it would keep us from staying here again though. It's 11 blocks to Center St where all the restaurants, stores, etc are, but not a big deal for us as we always rent a golf cart. And it's not far at all to the beach! Overall very pleased with The Wubie Shack!

So close to the beach!!!

This property was perfect for our family of four. Just a .10 mile walk to the water. Hvac great, beds comfy, great parking. The house didn’t provide paper towels or beach towels so be sure to pack those. A few minor cosmetic upgrades (countertops and flooring) would have allowed me to give the Wubie shack a five star rating however we will definetly come back.

This house was just adorable. It was in a but if disrepair and needed some food staples like some spices for cooking and maybe some charcoal for the grill. These are things you can get at the store but not in small amounts. I was amazed at how close the beach was located. I have recently had knee replacement surgery and i had no problems getting to the beach. The beds were comfortable and it was mostly quiet. If they do the repairs needed, I would stay here again.

Wubie Shack; Close and Far

The house, Wubie Shack, is located very close to the beach. Maybe a 3 to 5 minutes walk. But you are 1.5 miles from the nearest coffeeshop, and walking on Folly Beach is a risk. There are no sidewalks until you reach the downtown area and the streets are very narrow. Then the parking. OMG. But once you are downtown, plenty of restaurants, shops and watering holes. The locals are helpful and friendly. I think I would love to come for Christmas.

A short sweet stay at Folly

We really enjoyed sitting on the deck at the Wubie Shack except when the construction was going on next door. It’s a great little house close to the beach. It has almost everything you need. We flew from 2 different states and rented a car. It would have been perfect if there were beach chairs and beach towels.
