This condo was recently remodeled with all new flooring, new decor, new furniture and new bedding. It looks like a completely different condo and you will love all of the high end touches that this owner has placed in their condo. Be one of the first to stay in this freshly decorated condo at Destin West and experience the new face of Osprey 404.

Osprey 404 is 3 Bedroom/2 bath condo located in the Osprey building at Destin West Beach and Bay Resort on the bayside. This condo is under new ownership and management and both are looking forward to having new families come to enjoy and make a lifetime of memories in our condo. Whether spending the day at the private beach, floating for hours in the lazy river or fishing off the property's private marina we know that you are sure to enjoy your stay for a weekend or a week.

We have stayed at this resort multiple times. This was our first time staying in this particular room. Other than struggling with the broken blinds over the patio door in the master room, everything was in order and clean and pleasant. A room darkening covering (like in the living room) over the large patio window and door in the master would have veen nice.

Spring break

Absolutely beautiful condo. Perfect for our family. Loved the kitchen counter space! Everything we needed (coffee maker, toaster, etc.) Beds were very comfortable, even the sofa bed! Deck was a great size! It was a good walk to the beach so make sure you have everything you need! But we enjoyed it as well as the pier and fishing. The Gulfarium was a nice few hours spent. The dolphin and the sea lion shows were wonderful! Wish we were able to spend the whole week but will definitely keep this place in mind for future vacations! The condo has been updated but there are still things outdated especially in the bathrooms. Upon arrival it seemed as if the cleaning crew did a quick job as the furniture was all disheveled and surfaces seemed smudged and dirty. The beds were fine but the pillows were extremely cheap and uncomfortable. The deck and views of the bay were very enjoyable. I feel the biggest disappointment were the lack of toiletries. We were constantly searching for something that we couldn’t and didn’t find such as toilet paper, paper towels, and garbage bags. They also do not provide any beach towels. All in all our stay was fine. We all enjoyed the lazy river. The condo has a very laid back vibe and we were just looking for something with a bit more.

Kristin, thank you for your review. I do want to say that I am super surprised by this review. This owner has given this condo a head to toe update this year and we thought the difference was night and day from before. I am really puzzled by the outdated bathrooms comment. There isn't much to update in these bathrooms and not sure what you expected to see since the photographs were pretty clear. We do provide starter amenities like a roll of toilet paper, paper towels, can liners in each garbage can and a few dish pods and we make you aware of this in our carefree instructions. These items are provided to get you started but our guests are responsible for the rest of their stay. We will check the pillows and replace if needed and would have been happy to bring you new ones if we had known. We are glad that you enjoyed the resort and hope you find what you are looking for at your next visit.

Very Disappointed at Destin West

We booked 3 days, my wife, 6 month old daughter, and I bc we wanted to bring my little girl in lazy River. Monday they tested fire alarms all day long with ear piercing alarms going off. We kept having to run my baby outside on the balcony and couldn’t even use our condo. Also on Monday, Tues and Wednesday they decide to trim palm trees and close the lazy river during the day bc they dropped the cut palms in water and let them float around the lazy river instead of throwing them to the side. The entire hot tube was used as a storage basin for cut palms, dirt, and debris. This trip was a huge waste of money for my family as we couldn’t even use what we paid for. Very disappointed they did this in the spring when traffic is heavy at this place and not the winter months. Wasted 1500 and will prob choose a different establishment next time.

Michael, thank you for your feedback. We completely understand your frustration with the events that took place during part of your stay. Our bayside office team put messages in all of the elevators ahead of time to make guests aware of the necessary fire alarm testing that took place. We do hate that this interrupted one of your days but there were warnings made to make guests aware so they could make other arrangements. As for the tree trimming, while we understand that our resort staff did not alert us to this plan, we were in constant contact with them to be sure they would keep us posted on their progress so that we could make guests aware and we could encourage guests to use some of the property's other pools that were not affected. We do hate that you were inconvenienced during these dates, but we hope that despite this particular day, you enjoyed the rest of your stay in the beautiful condo.
