The Salty Sandpiper is a beautiful one bedroom/2 bathroom condo plus bunk area located on Bayside of Destin West that comfortably sleeps 4! You will love the location of this unit! Freshly painted, with beautifully decor, plus beach towels (2) - you will feel right at home at our 'Salty sandpiper'. With a fully stocked kitchen, washer and dryer, and a lazy river pool - this condo is the perfect place for your beach getaway!

This one-bedroom, two-bathroom condo has everything you will need for your stay and sleeps 4! When entering the unit you will find the master bedroom (outfitted with a king bed) is located to the right with a TV, and connecting master bathroom. This bathroom has a shower/tub combo with a toilet and sink. Down the hallway in a separate alcove, there is a set of twin bunks and a full bathroom, with a toilet and stand-up shower and sink. Also located in the hallway is a w/d closet that holds a stackable washer and dryer. The kitchen is fully stocked and there is patio set for you to enjoy your morning coffee (or evening cocktail) overlooking the sparkling lazy river and Bay. For your convenience, the condo is stocked with the following:
(2) Toilet paper rolls per bathroom
(1) Roll of paper towels
(2) Beach Towels
(2) Trash bags
(4) Bath towels per bathroom (with hand towels and washcloths)
(1) Shampoo/ conditioner/ soap/ body wash per bathroom
(1) black make-up cloth per bathroom (please utilize these when cleaning your face, as make-up stains our linens)
(1) Starter set of laundry detergent
(1) dawn soap and sponge
Starter set of dishwasher soap
(4) Keurig coffee pods

This complex has an open-parking lot for each building. Upon check-in, we will provide everything that you need to gain access into the unit. There are two parking spots for this unit available. This condo is located in Destin West BAYSIDE in Ft. Walton Beach!

Managed by Diving Pelican Realty and Rentals. We require an additional rental agreement to be signed at booking to ensure age requirements are met. Thank you for understanding!

Property has it all

Loved that we could access beach and bayside from our property. Get your groceries and supplies and stay in! Driving anywhere is bumper to bumper traffic.

Great Stay

Clean with a great view

We enjoyed our stay in this condo, it was very clean with a great layout, my wife and I along with our son and his girlfriend had plenty of room and privacy. The balcony overlooking the lazy river provides a great view of the well manicured and maintained grounds and river itself, the parking was convenient too. We would stay here again.

We loved our stay @ Destin West. It was an easy walk to the beach and the pool area was very clean and well kept. Kitchen was well stocked. I would stay there again in the future. Thank you!

Destin West is the best !

Beautiful and Comfortable Condo

We had a great time in the FWB/Destin area. Lyndsay was very prompt with communication, and the condo was great. It was clean, comfortable, and beautiful. We always enjoy staying at the San Destin. We relaxed in the lazy river and easily walked across the skywalk to the beach. Our teenagers appreciated the TVs at the end of each of their bunks. Would definitely recommend this condo and stay again.

Great location !!!

I recently visited a resort that had a great location, perfect for families with younger children. The amenities and activities available were excellent, but the real highlight was the lazy river. It was absolutely fantastic and provided endless fun and relaxation for both kids and adults. I can't recommend it enough! If you're looking for a fun-filled family getaway with a relaxing twist, I highly suggest checking out this place. I think you'll love it just as much as I did.

Absolutely beautiful!

Booked this condo in an emergency situation where I had to stay in Florida after sending my family home. We stayed as a family in another condo in the same facility the week prior & this condo was absolutely stunning & so clean. They provided more than enough basic necessities like laundry detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher tabs, way more than the previous unit we had stayed in as a family. They also went above & beyond to get me in prior to check in time, bc I was kinda homeless on a rainy day between checking out of previous unit & checking in . 5 stars plus.

Spring Break

We were very impressed with how well the entire complex was kept up, especially with so many people staying during this time. The hallways, elevators, and pool areas were all kept clean. We normally stay beachside but decided to stay bayside for a different view this time and we’re so glad we did! This condo was very clean, updated, tastefully decorated with great views of the bay and pool/ lazy river. It was the perfect size for our family of 4. (2 adults, 2 teens) We knew several others that stayed in different units on the property and whenever they’d walk in ours they raved about how nice it was! We definitely recommend this unit. Also the property Manager Madison was extremely friendly and had great communication!!

Wonderful stay!

Not only was the property as pictured, but the hosts did a great job of communicating with us. They answered any questions we had in a very timely manner and were easy to get in touch with if we needed anything. They sent out a nice welcome packed explaining everything, which was helpful. The location is perfect. It was a very short walk to the lazy river (which is where we spent most of our time!) and about a 10 min. walk to the beach on the other side of the property. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance which was nice. We walked to Wild Willys and rode go karts, played in the arcade, played laser tag and conquered the ropes course. It was nice having all of that within walking distance! The only thing I would maybe “complain” about is the shower in the master bedroom. There is barely any water pressure. Other than that, we really enjoyed our time there! Thank you for being such great hosts and keeping your property clean and maintained :)

Stunning Condo ~ Amazing Host ~ Don’t miss out on this listing!

First off arrival was so easy. We received a door code the day of arrival and were able to walk right into the unit at midnight. The unit is stunning! Chandeliers hanging as lamps next to the beds were beautiful. Unit is completely updated! No detail has been missed. Each bunk bed has its own tv and the remotes all work. Kids were able to use Netflix and other streaming services easily. The kitchen was stocked, granite countertops, beautiful living room with more chandeliers hanging and beautiful ceiling fans. Good water pressure. Stocked with nice beach towels, beach chairs, toys, and a full kitchen. Toiletries were provided along with dish washing liquid and laundry detergent. Very nice brands! Will hopefully get a chance to book again. We had terrible storms and the host was extremely helpful with checkout during a very scary storm.

Excellent Communication!

I cannot say enough about Diving Pelican and this property! The pictures and listing of amenities (both in the condo and on the property itself) were 100% accurate. I had some questions about the condo before booking any message that I had sent through Vrbo was answered within 5 to 10 minutes, any day of the week and any time of day. Once booked, the communication did not stop as we were granted early check-in upon request (for a $50 fee, but worth it to have access to the condo 4 hours in advance) and when we realized that the remote controls in the living room were out of batteries, batteries were delivered to the room within hours of contacting management. I cannot say enough positive things about the communication! The condo itself was a good size for our family of 3, but it is clear that it is a "starter" condo - meaning that it hasn't been available for enough time for things to accumulate such as seasonings or cookware in the kitchen. We knew in advance that grilling utensils were not available so we brought our own. This is certainly not an issue, just something to be aware of when creating a packing list or meal planning for your stay. The condo was immaculate upon entry, not even a grain of sand to be found. The kitchen had tons of "hidden" storage space (check under the counter behind the chairs!), as did the master bedroom if the closest and shelves in the master bathroom were being used. The second bedroom had significantly less storage space and was extremely small, but we knew this upon booking (again, the pictures are accurate) and it was certainly adequate for our 4 year-old. We had a brief, 2 minute walk to the pool and lazy river while the beach was a good 7 to 10 minute walk with beach supplies and kids in tow (we were visiting with family staying in multiple condos are the resort so there were 12 children in total!). I would recommend bringing a wagon to help with the trek to the beach, as well as beach towels, chairs, and toys. I would highly recommend this condo based on the communication with the management property alone, but the cleanliness and location were a huge bonus!
