Truly an amazing experience unlike any other in San Diego!! Sleeps over 20 guests. Come and invite yourself to relaxation and luxury at its finest! Enjoy privacy and serenity on this large hillside estate just a few miles from the Airport and Downtown. Central to the beach and all of San Diego attractions! This midcentury modern house was professionally designed for you to enjoy comfort, space and and functionality all while enhancing some of the best views in San Diego from almost every room!
The space
"The Medallion" is a professionally remodeled and designed 7bedroom/5bath spacious hillside estate that sits on a hill with picturesque sunset views. The property is on half an acre large lot with several outdoor living spaces to unwind and relax. "The Medallion" has a total of 14 beds/mattresses and can sleep up to 20 people comfortably in bedrooms and then 4-5 more in the common area on couches if you desire. However, our max occupancy is 20 people unless approved by the host prior to booking. Feel free to message us and give us some details about your party and how many guests you would like to have and we can review for approval.

This is an ideal place to come together or enjoy your own space with 3 living rooms, several outdoor patios, a large balcony, and a deck. In addition, there's a large outdoor enclosed game room with a pool table, ping pong, and foosball. There's a variety in types of bedrooms including: two large master suites with private bathrooms, three cozy single or couples rooms- two of which have a built in-room vanity for getting ready, two bunk rooms with 4 bunk beds in each. The house meets the needs of every kind. There is also ample parking in the driveway for over 10 cars. The kitchen has views to the yard with a lawn and deck. The main room is an open concept with the kitchen adjacent to the large dining table that sits right next to he fireplace and living room. With vaulted wood ceilings the dining room and living room are open and bright with ample natural light. French doors open up from the living room to a viewing balcony.

The vaulted ceilings and multiple windows invite natural light to brighten the space. To ensure your comfort the home has heat and AC with all brand new double pane windows . The kitchen has a coffee pot, full size 4 burner gas stove, wall oven, microwave, dishwasher and frig. There are 3 flat screen tvs with smart features in each living room. A hose is located on the front patio so you can rinse off your sandy toes after a beach day.

The property is maintained and the interior is professionally cleaned and checked before each guest. The max occupancy of 20 guests will be enforced, unless approved prior to booking. ABSOLUTELY NO PARTIES, LOUD MUSIC OR LOUD NOISES. We have noise monitors inside and outside of the house that will alarm us if it gets to loud. We also have security cameras throughout the exterior of the property. We have very sensitive neighbor's that enjoy the special peacefulness of this area that will complain and you can be in violation of your contract (as its specifically written here). If this happens you may be asked to leave with no refund. This is a NON-smoking property. No smoking allowed anywhere on the property especially inside the house. If there is any scent of smoke you will be fined 1500.

Pets are allowed but must be disclosed prior to booking including how many pets, the size etc. Pets are not allowed on the furniture and guests will be fined if there is hair or pet smell on the furniture. At no time are pets allowed unattended or alone in the house or on the property.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire property with exception of the enclosed garage

backyard, game room, and deck is restricted from 9pm-9am to adhere to SD City noise ordinances and host quiet hr for the neighborhood

Other things to note house is well used and loved by many! You will see scuffs on the walls dents and cracks.. chips or scratches in the paint or cabinets.. signs of wear and fading on furniture… house is built in the 1960s but has been updated.. but still has some original features kitchen cabinets and countertops and appliances etc… house is on a large 1/5 acre lot and as with all house but especially those with property…occasional bugs, ants, and spiders may find there way inside or around the property… we always do our best but at the end of the day it’s mother nature and out of our control to 100% eradicate them so know its possible and likely you may see a few… if anything is broken we’ll be happy to fix it right away just let us know! You are assuming renting with this understanding.
-Just as its our goal to provide an impeccable 5 star experience to all our guests, we expect the same respect to be shown to our neighbors during your stay
-Please be cautious of your behavior throughout your stay toward our neighbors especially relating to noise, trash and parking in the vicinity of the property
Please note that the home is equipped with air conditioning; however, during periods of high occupancy (especially 15+ guests), the system may take longer to maintain cooler temperatures due to the additional body heat generated in the home.

The upstairs is served by its own A/C system, while the downstairs has limited Ac distribution with a single central vent. As a result, the downstairs area will typically be a few degrees warmer than the upstairs, particularly during warm weather or when the home is at full occupancy. We do have some portable Ac units installed in the windows for additional cooling options!

The A/C is designed to keep the home comfortable, but during peak outside temps and peak occupancy, guests should not expect the home to feel “ice cold” throughout all areas.

The house worked great for us. The skunk in the backyard was a issue. But the house is all locked up, except the upstairs master window lock is broken. And the back patio door is installed wrong so it does not lock at all which was concerning. Other we had a great stay, thank you.

Thank you! We have never seen a skunk in the 10 years we have owned the house but I can imagine that was startling! The French doors are tricky to operate but in the welcome video we show how to operate and close/lock them.. just need to lift up on the handles to set the bolts!

Daughter's Wedding Stay

My family and I stayed at the property for our daughter's wedding in San Diego. The house was perfect for us. Ample rooms and restrooms. Very spacious and wide open. The game area was great entertainment for our guests. The yard was perfect for my sister in-law's dog. The host was very understanding and responsive any time I had a question. I would definitely recommend this place if you're heading to San Diego.

Our stay was overall great with this property and allowed for our entire group to have individual beds and not feel terribly crowded. Accordingly to many in San Diego the weekend we were there happened to be the hottest days in a while this led to the AC units having to work overtime even with the hosts willingness to turn on the A/C prior to our arrival the property was warm especially downstairs after adjusting the temp to be even lower we were able to feel an impact in all the upstairs rooms just not downstairs which confusingly only has a heating thermostat did not get below 82 degrees even after keeping the temperature at 69-72 degrees all weekend. The only other issue we had with the property was the downstairs hall way bath was clogged up and water draining in the shower took a while I believe this is an easy fix as the host can just clear the drain. Aside from these hiccups the property is just as described and the hosts are very responsive we were able to easily find everything we needed and use the space for our large group without hassle. The property was very cool with an amazing outdoor space and game area with ping pong and pool! We used the grill and everything worked great!
