Welcome to A Sweet Stopover! This 2bd/2bath 3rd floorcondo is walking distance to everything the quaint town of Blowing has to offer! Located downtown & just a short stroll you can be on Main st for shopping, dining, breweries, wine tastings- you name it- this precious place has it all! Minutes to Tweetsie, App Ski mountain, Blue Ridge Parkway,& lots of other great activities the High Country has to offer!
This unit is located on the 3rd floor (sorry no elevator) & is one of only 6 units that has a true balcony! You can walk to everything the quaint town of Blowing Rock has to offer! A perfect stopover for a quick weekend or a longer stay!! Definitely a home away from home! Need more space? I have 3 other condos (2 second floor unitssleeps 6 & another 3rd floor unit sleeps 6). Definite 5 stars all around! Sweet Stopover was perfect size-- clean-- up to date decor and comfortable furnishings- fully equipped kitchen and the list goes on. The host was wonderful to deal with from beginning to end----answering all questions and supplying all info on the condo in a timely manner. Was a quick walk to downtown and lots of restaurants and shopping. Tucked away on a little side street so was quiet as well. We had a great time. If you are looking for the perfect place to stay in Blowing Rock--- this is it!

I would not recommend this property based on my stay. The place was not as advertised and had several issues that made it uncomfortable. One of the bedroom closets would not open and the glass was completely cracked. Part of the ceiling was hanging down in the living area, and one of the chairs was so wobbly it looked like it might collapse. Several light fixtures didn’t even have bulbs, leaving areas poorly lit.Cleanliness was also a problem and the towels provided were gross. The listing claimed to include shampoo, conditioner, and soap, but there were only two tiny bottles — completely inadequate for three adults over three days.When I messaged the host, the response was dismissive and rude. I expressed that I felt compensation was appropriate, but I was told it was “an easy fix” rather than being offered any meaningful resolution. The pictures in the listing are not accurate to the current state of the property.Overall, this place felt neglected, poorly maintained, and misrepresented. Definitely not worth the cost.

The Sweet Stopover was beautifully and comfortably decorated. The host had plenty of towels and bath accessories provided. The kitchen was fully stocked and she even had spices and cooking oil there along with coffee and filters. There was dish soap in the kitchen and paper towels. Very convenient!

Condo location was good-very quiet and peaceful. Updates to the unit are attractive. The one negative we have to share is that the mattresses are uncomfortable. Maybe plush mattress pads would help... . Neither of us slept well; and woke up feeling stiff and sore.

This is our second time staying in a condo at the Royal Oaks complex. We love the location that allows you to walk into town, with all of its shops, restaurants, park, trails, etc. This condo was very well updated and clean. The beds were comfortable, and we slept well. The kitchen was well outfitted, although we did not cook much. One of our favorite features (outside the location) is the back deck, where we sat at the end of the day to watch the sun set. It is a third-floor walkup, but that does not bother us.

Perfect Stay

Sweet Stopever was the perfect home base for a Blowing Rock wedding weekend. The condo was beyond clean and far exceeded our expectations. The location was great - loved being able to walk to downtown. Our prayers are with you and everyone in Western NC!

Hurricane

We loved the place. Even during the hurricane everything was convenient. When power went out it came back on fast and tried to get internet back up, but they had gas logs and games. Wouldn't want to be stuck anywhere else, its beautiful.

So quiet. So clean. So convenient!

This 3rd floor unit is SO quiet. We never heard anyone on the stairs and we never heard any noise or sounds from the neighbors. It was immaculately clean. The rear balcony is great and if it’s raining or too hot, the front porch is covered, shady and gets a great breeze. The mattresses were very comfortable and the bedding was luxuriously soft. The water and ice tasted clean and had no odor. The walk to town is uphill but if the hill is too much for you, you can drive as there is plenty of free parking in town. We are in our 60s and we made the walk just fine. I highly recommend this property.

We loved this little location and the only thing we would say is it is a little difficult dragging suitcases up the stairs, but that's what my husband was for! haha. The place is perfect otherwise and so cozy. Everything was great. Thanks so much! Loved the area and the skiing!

Great little condo

Cute, clean, comfortable spot to stay in Blowing Rock. It is just a short walk up the hill to Main Street. My friend and I enjoyed our stay here for a long weekend visit to Blowing Rock. Condo is small (bathroom are tight spaces) but everything was well organized, clean and comfortable for the space. You must be able to haul your belongings up 3 flights of stairs. It was a quiet neighborhood and worked great for us. Lots of helpful suggestions and notes in the condo. Check in and out was a breeze. Great price and location.

Weekend on the Blue Ridge Parkway

We had a great time seeing the local sights and beautiful fall leaves along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Blowing Rock is perfect location to make day trips to other sights along the parkway. This nice apartment is near the Main St of Blowing Rock where there are shops and restaurants. The Sweet Stopover is clean and nicely appointed. There were even some fall decor to make it festive. They were very timely in answering my few questions. We enjoyed our mini vacation in North Carolina

What a lovely stay

It was our first time in Blowing Rock. Property is just a few blocks from town. It was clean and had all the things we wanted—furnished well, great kitchen to cook in, backyard deck and front porch, spacious room.
