Welcome to Summerhouse 502!  This 2BR/2BA Gulf front unit is family-friendly with beautiful views and an open layout!  Located on the east side of Panama City Beach, this unit is beautifully decorated and perfect for your next vacation to the Emerald Coast!  In the master bedroom, you will find a king bed, balcony access, and an en suite bathroom.  The guest room has a queen-size bed and a twin-over-twin bunk bed, plus a Queen sleeper sofa in the living room to sleep 8 guests comfortably! Step onto your large private balcony and enjoy spectacular views of the Gulf of Mexico! Check out why Summerhouse 502 is a family favorite!

*This property does not allow parties of adults under the age of 25. No Exceptions.*

*All guests are required to check in at the front desk to purchase a parking pass and wristbands. Wristbands are required to be worn by all guests ages 6 years and older. This charge is $35.84 for both wristbands and parking passes, paid at the front desk. * Subject to change by Resort.

Snowbird Season runs from November thru February, on a monthly basis. To prepare a qualified quote, select your arrival date (must be the 1st day of the month) and the departure date (must be the 1st day of the month). Alternate dates must be pre-approved. All monthly rentals are subject to an additional $150 cleaning fee. Please contact us with your interest and to further assist!

Located on the east side of Panama City Beach, Summerhouse Condominium is an 11-story resort.  It is minutes from gourmet seafood dining, signature golf courses, amazing deep sea fishing, world famous night clubs, fabulous water and amusement parks, miniature golf, gift shops, and the world-class entertainment and events Panama City Beach is famous for. Guests staying in this resort will have access to many exciting amenities, including 2 large swimming pools (one seasonally heated), a hot tub, and beach front gazebo area with tables and chairs.  Nearby, at the corner of Thomas Dr and North Lagoon Dr, is Captain Anderson's Marina and Restaurant. You will find delicious fresh seafood, charter fishing boats, and shell and dolphin excursions. Major grocery stores and retailers are also within a 5-10 minute drive.

The beach is wide and deep and reminds one of "old Florida". Less than a mile away is gorgeous St. Andrews State Park. Grand Lagoon touches the park to the north and to the south, the beautiful Gulf. Swimming and fishing are great at the park without the large crowds!

Nearby, at the corner of Thomas Dr and North Lagoon Dr, is Captain Anderson's Marina and Restaurant. You will find delicious fresh seafood, charter fishing boats, and shell and dolphin excursions. Major grocery stores and retailers are also within a 5–10-minute drive. Also, the NEW Dolly Parton's Pirates Voyage Dinner Theater and Top Golf, which opened in Pier Park, are a must!

From exploring the sunken ships in the area to sailing, go-karting, deep sea fishing, and checking out the local animal parks, there is a diverse variety of Panama City Beach attractions for kids of all ages to enjoy, just minutes from Summerhouse! Sherry, we are pleased to know that you enjoyed staying at Edgewater Beach and Golf Resort in Panama City Beach. Please accept our apology for any frustration caused by the resort's parking policies. Similar to the previous rental's policy that is mentioned on Vrbo and RealJoy websites, "guests must register for parking passes at least 24-hrs before arrival date. The registration fee is $50, and this cost includes one vehicle parking pass. A second parking pass is available for an additional $30, and a third parking pass is available for another additional $50." Thank you for choosing RealJoy.

Overall good experience

Although our room wasn’t clean when we arrived the management team promptly brought over clean linens. They also brought over a gift card and a bottle of bubbly for the troubles. The guest shower is very nice. The pull out sofa wasn’t at all a terrible nights sleep as imagined for a 165 pound 40 year old.

We were very pleased with room. Comfortable beds and living furniture. Our only issues were the towel rack in the front bathroom, came apart. My husband was able to put it back together, and the next day, we found the little screw and was able to use my knife to fix it. The Roku batteries in the control were dead. However, I had a flash light that used the same batteries and was able to watch TV. When we left, we replaced the dead batteries in the control. Our main concern were the floors. Both bathroom floors were sticky, to the point of sticking to our bare feet or shoes. The tile floors thru out the condo had debris and we swept several times. They had not been vacummed, or moped. If the condos are not inspected before being rented it, they need to be. We have stayed at the Summer House many times and this is the first time this has ever happened. Being the first time renting from Vrbo, we actually didn"t know who to contact about this. All and all we enjoyed staying there, but this needs to be addressed for future renters. Thank you,

The Good and The not so good

The good was that all staff and guests at Summerhouse were very friendly and helpful! The location was good for us, the view was amazing and the outside grounds were well kept. The not so good…this building is old. Hot tub not always working, elevators frequently down, sliding doors in the lobby not working. For the condo, the photos online must’ve been taken long ago as the white cabinets were now yellow. The HVAC was down the first 4 days and it smelled like stale dust and mildew that never went away, even with air blowing and fans running. The ductwork needs to be cleaned thoroughly. We requested to be moved shortly after we arrived. Real Joy told us “unless the place is inhabitable…” they would not move us, we had booked for 2 months. They attempted to resolve with several visits to figure out the smell, fix hvac, clean the area rug (ick) but no other remedy, move or refund. Remember the saying, you get what you pay for. Before you book, look for pics of the elevators, hallways, your condo front door. Also, there is No access to the balcony from the master as described and the sliding balcony door and drapery need to be replaced.

Decent place but we had issues

The condo itself is nice and in a good location, however, the AC unit was not turning on. We contacted Real Joy about the issues around 1pm that day and did not hear back til 7pm that night when we were ready to go out to eat. Unfortunately we had to cancel our dinner out and order pizza while maintenance finished with the repair. He mentioned that the AC unit was on its last leg and would take a long time to cool...and it did. Other than that some of the pots in the kitchen were burnt on the bottom and I didn't want to use them to cook with. It kinda grossed us out.

Elevator issue

Had to climb 6 flights of stairs for 3 days due to elevator issue in main building. They should have told us that the elevator would be down upon checking in and offered to transfer to another building.
