We had a large group of family getting together and this property was perfect. It had plenty of space for us, the views were amazing, and they even had baby/kid items and toys. Karen was very responsive and helpful when any questions arose. We were all already talking about coming back again before the trip was even over.

Just an absolute wonderful time hosted by Karen

There is not much you can say about this property and its owner manager. It is just billed. We had our entire family and it was perfect. Even more space than we felt the photos and summary suggested. Karen goes the extra mile with making sure there’s firewood, makings for s’mores, And everything just laid out. The communication was on point to check in and exit. It is probably, no I’ll back off and say, it’s the best property we’ve ever rented through VRBO.

Perfection!

The house was absolutely wonderful, even better than the description/photos! There was more than enough space for us! Unfortunately as the trip became closer the weather decided to turn aaaaaallll the way down. There was a snow storm and Atlanta essentially shut down (as it does lol). The property owner hopped on a call with me to run through the “worst case scenarios” if we decided to come regardless, which tbh we’re not that bad because she was SO PREPARED. It would have meant using a generator, snuggling on couches, and playing board games by flashlight. The original plans of going into town were nixed due to the snow and ice, but we went on amazing winter hikes and read books by the fireplace instead. Overall, this was the most amazing escape for us millennial ladies! We will absolutely be booking here for our annual trip from now on!

Absolutely pristine!

This property and Karen, my contact were far above my expectations! We are a Book Club group of 9 ladies, 70 somethings, and we were bowled over by the perfect cleanliness, super soft sheets, comfortable beds, bounteous towels, and welcoming touches we found when we entered the house. There is not one method to prepare your morning java, but 3, a French press, Keurig, coffee pot, and oh yes, a kettle for us tea lovers! There was a sweet basket full of supplies to make S’Mores over the fire pit and lots of instructions to assist. Karen was great throughout and we hope to perhaps visit again.

Great house for large family gatherings

This house was great for our extended family vacation. There are lots of comfortable bedrooms and multiple living areas (inside and out) so everyone can spread out and have their space. The kitchen was well stocked and spacious. The kids enjoyed the ping pong table, games, and big tv in the basement. The location near Clayton is great, but the steep, winding road going up to the house can be tricky (especially at night).

Whitewater Rafting Trip

There is a reason this property consistently receives 10 out of 10 ratings. The home is in a beautiful gated golf course community. The minute you walk in you feel at home. The hosts have thought of everything!! There are plenty of coffee pods provided for the Keurig along with creamers and sugar. There are also plenty of snacks and protein bars provided as well. The home is immaculately cared for and you can just feel and see the cleanliness. The home is well stocked with everything you need for a memorable vacation. All bathrooms have the wall mounted dispensers for shampoo, conditioner and body wash and every bath has an abundant supply of bath towels, hand towels and wash cloths. The kitchen is fully stocked as well with anything you need. We really enjoyed having two separate living room areas. The adults had a nice one up stairs while the kids loved the downstairs living room equipped with a large television, ping pong table, PAC Man game console and tons of other board games provided. The home is so large that even with a larger group there is so much room to spread out and relax. The outdoor spaces are amazing!! A fire pit and sitting area for cooking S’mores, two nice decks with beautiful views of the mountains and amazing sunsets. A very nice gas grill is provided as well. I cannot say enough about how diligent the cleaning Staff are that take care of this property. These hosts are so thoughtful and provide an amazing property!!!!!

Wheelchair access and plenty of room to stretch out

First, communication with the host was top notch from time of booking through the length of stay. We needed a place for 10-12 adults, and wheelchair accessibility. The house is beautiful, and definitely met the needs to accommodate us all, without feeling cramped up. Do your due diligence on what you need as far as accessibility, since each need is different. I am used to thinking outside the box, and figuring out alternative ways to make things work. The golf course located right there is an added bonus! All in all, it was a great home to stay in, and give it 5 stars!!

Much needed family time

The house was outstanding. We were able to accommodate 10 people over three generations to enjoy rest and relaxation. While it did rain for two days, the spaciousness of the house allowed us time to talk and enjoy each other’s company and not feel crowded. The host was very attentive and was able to answer questions in a timely manner. We will definitely rent again when we decide to return to Rabun Gap.

Lovely Mountain Chalet

My friends and I had an awesome stay at Sunset Ridge in Clayton. The home was beautifully appointed and the layout was perfect for our large group. Check in and check out went extremely smoothly and the guidebook Karen provided about the area was very helpful for the days we wanted to venture into town. We came in stressed and left out refreshed! I’m already planning another visit!

Thanksgiving with a View

Our extended family spent Thanksgiving week here and had a wonderful time. We cooked and went out for hikes in the state parks nearby. The house was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The host was an excellent communicator as well as very thoughtful. The WiFi worked well and the view out the back was amazing. Highly recommended!

Outstanding Home For Your Vacation!

First and foremost, the owner, Karen, was beyond first class. She communicated with us before, during, and after. She had numerous recommendations that were spot on. She resolved minor issues that were user error on my part quickly. She is by far the best host we have ever dealt with. The property is beautiful and the location is perfect! The kitchen is very well equipped with appliances and we all enjoyed cooking there. We spent many hours on the porch relaxing and looking at a mountain we named Broccoli Mountain. Go see why! Also there are lots of games and puzzles and we donated a new bingo game that the grandkids loved playing. We highly recommend this home for your next relaxing vacation. Lots of waterfalls and close to Helen for tubing and great German food. Thank you so much!!!

College graduation trip

And just like that it was over. Three wonderful days and 4 nights celebrating our youngest daughters college graduation. The home was just as advertised and exactly what we expected. Beautiful neighborhood and spectacular Mountain Views everywhere we turned. We will definitely come again when the time is right. Absolutely Perfect - Highly Recommended

Our large family of 12 stayed at Sunset Ridge for a week to attend our mother-in-law's funeral. The house was absolutely perfect and we had everything we needed. My father-in-law is 90 years young, and needed a ramp for his wheelchair. We requested a ramp and it was there when we arrived. The house had plenty of room for our large group and everyone was very comfortable. The house was ready when we arrived and everything was spotless. There were little extras like a help-yourself S'mores ingredient basket, oatmeal, popcorn and candy dish. The house is very well appointed and had everything we needed. The lower level rec room was perfect for the little ones, with a large TV, ping pong and video arcade machine. The bedrooms on the lower level are separated by the rec room, and we heard very little noise in the bedrooms, even when the TV was on. The neighborhood is secluded and private, and the neighbors are very nice. Karen is great to work with, and the communication was excellent. We highly recommend this property. Thank you, Karen!

Our son got married at Chattanooga Belle Farms. House was about 15 mins drive. Beautiful home. Plenty of room for large families. Everything easy to find. Kids and adults loved the s’mores and ping pong. Exceptional host. Many amenities nearby. Highly recommend staying here.

Our property is one of the few really large homes in the area, and is very open and spacious. The chic interior design is HGTV inspired. It is thoughtfully stocked so that you will feel like you have everything on hand for the perfect vacation. The location right near downtown Clayton can't be beat, and it is so convenient to many area attractions such as white water rafting, fly fishing, horseback riding, golf, giant slide/snowtubing, wineries and so much more. We are dog-friendly and welcome families and friend groups for many occasions including health and wellness retreats, church groups, etc. We are the perfect getaway spot for your annual family vacation, for your anniversary celebration or the perfect place for attendees of local weddings and corporate retreats. Cyclists have trained in our area and say it's one of the best place for biking in Georgia! They've said staying at our large home for their team was the best home base they could have chosen.
