As you pull up the long private gravel drive you will immediately understand the modern country tranquility that awaits you and your guests. Fabulous place

Place was clean,spacious and kitchen was well equipped. The pool was an extra bonus and it was well used by entire family in the hot Texas heat. . I highly recommend this place as a family getaway. The communication between owner and myself was easy and fast.

Whatabarndo was the perfect getaway!!

This was the perfect size property for my family of 15. The location was nice and serene and very relaxing. Both the main house and guest house was very beautiful and clean upon arrival. Communication with the property owner, Skip, was very prompt and informative. The pool and spa were a hit with everyone as well as the game room and pool table! Plenty of outside seating. Would most definitely book this property again!!!

Pleasant place

WOW no words can justify how beautiful and relaxing this place was , the area the scenery around location everything was great for our Labor Day vacation . We will definitely be back the host was attentive and response was on point he was in full communication with me all the time thanks to him it was awesome ..

Framily Getaway

Annual tradition of getting 2 families together for a getaway. Whatabarndo did not disappoint. Great sunsets, big fire in the fire pit each night and the occasional visit from the neighbors cows made this spectacular. Can’t wait to visit again!!

This property was a cute getaway oasis for my friends and I to enjoy some much needed relaxation before the school year began. The response from the owner was quick and they were extremely friendly and accommodating. Would book again and definitely recommend!!!

Graduation Weekend

Rented this property for a group of high school graduates. It was a perfect set up. Plenty to do, space to spread out and comfortable sleeping. Plenty of Privacy for late nights and music. I would definitely recommend. We had a great time.

Beautiful property. Not clean, I had to clean especially the kitchen. Could not use game room, strong odor, very noisy night due to high winds & spinners on roof. Also, had too dust furniture. Nice pool & outdoor area. Good location for us to visit family.

Work sales meeting/get away

I rented this place for 7 of us that work together to have a small sales meeting/get away. This place was exactly what we where looking for, nice clean pool, spacious enough for 7 grown men to have enough space apart and also with a great layout for us to be together. Booking it was easy and communication with owner was quick and easy. We would definitely look at coming back again.

Family Reunion

We were looking for a great place to enjoy visiting with our family--we wanted a central location in East Texas. This was perfect! The houses/property were exactly as billed and very clean. Skip was easy to communicate with and always got right back to us on check-in instructions, pool instructions, etc. No complaints at all! We would definitely stay here again. Johnny

40th birthday celebration

This property is amazing! I through my boyfriend a 40th bday celebration family and his friends were so amazed and fascinated with the beautiful pool and spa area, and the feel on being at a resort but nope we are in Texas at Whatabarndo!! I would recommend everyone stay here. Skip is really awesome and communicates so well. My boyfriend said this was the best birthday ever!! 🥰🥰🥰 Book it now!!!

Great TX spring break

The houses were beautifully decorated, both kids and adults loved the spaces. Amazing showers, comfortable beds, lots of space. It was very clean. They had welcome baskets (even a welcome treat for the dog) and thought of all the extras (board games, outside games, firewood, smores roasters, dog bowls, laundry soap, dish soap, coffee, tea, soap, shampoo, etc). Property is large. We had a few issues with pool heat (but owner communicated well when issues came up).

Relaxing Stay! Whatabarndo!

Skip was very responsive and accommodating for our stay. The barn was clean and tidy upon arrival. We had a great time playing in the large field behind the barn - plenty of space to throw the football and frisbees. I would definitely stay here again. One note: You're in the country... bring bug spray! :) Thankfully we had spray so we could enjoy being outside around dusk. Thanks Skip!

Fantastic Family Getaway at the Barndominium

Our recent stay at the Barndominium was absolutely fantastic. Skip's exceptional service and communication throughout the booking process and during our stay ensured that our extended family get-together over a long weekend was perfect. The Barndominium created an ideal setting for relaxation and quality family time. The well-maintained pool offered refreshing relief from the Texas heat and the game room with a pool table provided endless entertainment for all. The separate houses on the property allowed each family member to have their own space while fostering togetherness. We were impressed by Skip's attentiveness and dedication to ensuring a seamless experience, making us feel valued and well taken care of. We would not think twice about staying here again.
