Driveway Info
The driveway is a bit steep and bumpy—just a heads-up! Please avoid bringing low-clearance sports cars. AWD/4x4 can be helpful in snowy or icy conditions, but not usually needed.

WiFi & Cell Signal
We’ve got Starlink WiFi and but cell signal can sometimes be spotty. But hey, you’re in Shenandoah, so feel free to unplug and soak up the nature!

Water Notice
It’s a mountain thing—sometimes the tap water has a funny taste or smell. Totally safe, but feel free to bring your own drinking water if you're sensitive to it.

Cabin was clean and neat. The air conditioning work well. Very pretty friendly. Having the fenced yard was perfect for our puppy. It was secluded enough but still close to all we wanted to do. Hot tub was great. Would recommend an update to the tub in the bathroom. Other than that it was a great stay.

This is an excellent place for a couple with its wonderful one bedroom, outside garden, and back porch hot tub. You can tell this house was renovated years ago. The layout and decorative touches are lovely. It could benefit from a deep cleaning but it was clean and ready for us. The driveway was extra bumpy after recent thunderstorms, but we were able to able to navigate it well enough. The detailed touches were very thoughtful, like the smores ingredients. We will definitely stay again if we are in the Luray area in the future.

The picture is kind of catfish you into getting this property. We stayed there for 3 nights. If you want to shower, you have to be fast because the water gets cold within five minutes. Also, the hot tub is completely the opposite of the pictures. No lights the pathway also does not have any lights. When we got to the property, there was no gate on the fenced in yard, which is why we decided to get this property. The shower curtain was moldy. And the air conditioners made a lot of noise. Overall, the property needs TLC. The house inside was beautiful and correspond with the pictures. The outside definitely needs TLC. The fire pit ring was completely rusted and kept falling over. The host was helpful when it came to the gate and had someone there the next day. Unfortunately, the host did not get back to me with an update on the gate until the day before we left, which wasn’t accurate on the gate installation. Overall, this is a good place for a one night visit, but it def needs more TLC for the outside since we all break away to go relax outside and couldn’t even use the charcoal grill since it was still full of ashes and dirt from previous visitors and same with the fire ring still had ashes and debris from previous renters. House was super cute and Victor (located in California - I believe!) was responsive. I stayed 4 nights - drive to town is not too bad, the private road into the home needs major work but the listing does make you aware. Be sure to bring soap, shampoo, and conditioner as that was missing. Also, the shower also only had about 5 minutes of hot water. There was also no hot pad or oven mitt in the kitchen, which made cooking difficult so be sure to bring that too. Though, the listing says that there is a smart TV, it is not - it just plays DVDs. A bit disappointing as I booked the home to be able to log into the TV and watch Love Island. There are no cleaning products either and the hot tub could have used a nice wipe down, so be sure to bring some clorox wipes, too! The house also has weird temperature controls that should probably be labeled. I turned a switch or something on the wall and it kicked on the baseboard heat and Victor was unsure how to turn it off as he was not local to the house. He then spoke to someone local that tends to the house, and he was able to help me fix the heat. The house was cute and cozy!

King size bed, fenced yard for our dog, and good mid-week price are what made us choose this place for a short get away. It really suited our needs and we'll be back! Bed was comfortable. House was clean, nicely decorated, and felt welcoming. Could not get WiFi to work, but our cell phone reception was fine.

Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home tucked away in the mountains. We loved the small touches like the s’mores basket, indoor lights and AC on when we walked in, and the comfy bed. However, it would have been great to have lights on the pathway to the front of the home because it was dark when we arrived. We weren’t able to close the bathroom window which was a bit unsettling and when we entered the hot tub we found a bandaid floating around. Aside from those small inconveniences, your home was lovely.

Secluded relaxation

Everything was as described, we enjoyed our stay. There's a spot up the gravel road that might need AWD given the conditions of erosion. Our Subaru did fine with automated stability controls and AWD. The property is well used, nicely decorated, but could use a bit more upkeep. New washer / dryer was helpful. Had enough to cook a meal. Bring ice. Hot tub is very peaceful.

Sorry about the water! The water company just finished repairing before your stay, so there were still some sediments that needed to be washed out. We are recaulking the window in the bathroom area. Thank you for your suggestions. Sorry that you didn't have the best of experience.

Just close enough to all the activities but far enough from the crowds! Great location close to the Luray Caverns and the river for kayaking, tubing, fishing, etc! Also Shendanoah National Park is only 45 mins away so great all around! Make sure to bring a vehicle with ground clearance!

We loved our stay here! We had our dog with us, who loved the fully fenced-in yard. There was air conditioner units in both the living room and the bedroom, that were on when we got there! This was a nice touch that definitely made it comfortable. The bed was very comfortable as well. The hose was very communicative and helpful throughout our stay! 10/10 recommend!

Yard was lovely, but much smaller than it looks online.

Everything was fine for a short 3 day stay. Would have like the TV in the family room instead of the bedroom. Kitchen was fully stocked, which was super nice as I love to cook.

Comfy cabin for the night

We stayed for one night while we were in Luray for the weekend. Overall, we found it comfy for our one night in Luray. Beautiful view of mountains, close to the water. We traveled with our two kids (5 and 2). It might be a little small to come back with the family - only because there is just one bedroom.

Wonderful stay!

The perfect stay to disconnect from technology!! We had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay again if we come back. House has all the basics you need. So nice having a fenced yard for dogs! It is a decent drive to get the Shenandoah and other nearby activities. Distance isn’t far, but the roads are steep and curvy, so slow driving takes longer to get around.

Great country retreat

We spent one night on a family road trip through Virginia and Tennessee. Location is great for Luray Caverns and a gorgeous drive. The site is so quiet, and the fenced yard was perfect for a night around the fire pit with our kids and dog. Checkin was easy and the bed was REALLY comfortable! Everything was clean enough, although the bathroom could use a deep clean. Great first night of vacation for our family.

Great stay

The home was very comfortable and accommodating. The scenery was lovely and the home was well situated. We were maybe 20 minutes from the national park and the ride into and out of the park was so pretty. It was close to local shops as well. We stayed with our dog and toddler and everyone seemed to enjoy their stay.

Cozy place

The cabin is well taken care off, everything you can think of is provided. The WiFi was strong enough for streaming and other needs. The cabin is conveniently located within a short drive to both, Shenandoah National park and GWTJ National forest. Communication with the manager/owner was excellent. The road leading to the house was all uphill and extremely bumpy, but we didn’t have any issues getting in and out, but smth to keep in mind for a rainy day. Overall, very positive experience.
