Being only four houses to the beach, you can have your toes in the sand in a short one-minute walk! Excellent dining, snacks, and shopping are well within walking distance, too. Check out The Porch (for finer fare), Anna Maria Island Creamery, Ginny’s and Jane E’s (for coffee, casual dining, and shopping!), or plan a spa day at Body & Sol. Catch the Free Island Trolley at the stop at Magnolia Avenue to explore Holmes Beach and Bradenton Beach to the south.


Exterior

The star of this home is the rooftop deck, where you can gaze at gorgeous Florida sunsets over the pristine Gulf waters. Or enjoy a morning coffee on the wrap-around porch off the main living level. Finally, relax in the lounge area under the house with a wooden swing, a hammock, and a 6-top table, perfect for enjoying outdoor meals prepared on the nearby propane grill.


Interior

Recently updated, this home has a fully renovated kitchen and bathrooms, and spacious and inviting bedrooms. Driftwood-style floors and colors reminiscent of the sand and sea welcome you into a coastal state of mind. Three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, one half bath, and over 2100 sq ft of living space gives everyone room to relax.

Last but Not Least

The third bedroom features a queen over queen bunk bed along with a third bed (double), giving plenty of options for alternate sleeping arrangements.

Great house and great location! Quick walk to beach and the house was very clean. They had beach chairs, beach towels, water toys and a cart to get it to the beach.

Fantastic location!

This house is steps from the beach, shops, and restaurants. The house was very cute and clean. We had plenty of room for two families.

Amazing!

This house is amazing! Equipped with everything you may need, and more! Very cute, with huge rooms, comfortable beds and very close to the beach (2 mins walking ). The storage has everything you may need for the beach, with tons of toys for the kids. Will be back !

Incredible!

We absolutely loved the mermaid house! The location was incredible. So many restaurants (at different price points) were within walking distance. The location to the beach was key for us as well. Additionally, we loved that the house provided towels and beach chairs! Thank you!

Great location and beautiful home

The home was perfect for our family. Walk to restaurants and 3 houses from the beach. Beautifully decorated and clean and modern inside. The roof deck was a great way to wake up and climb the stairs with a cup of coffee. Or end the day with a glass of wine looking at the ocean. Will return again and enjoy AMI.

Weekend Getaway Perfection

If you’re looking for the perfect weekend getaway, then the Mermaid House is for you! It’s a comfortable block away from the beach and a 3 minute walk to the Sandbar Restaurant. The house was perfect for sleeping 3 young adults and a main floor bedroom for mom & dad. We even had a bedroom to spare. Quite atmosphere with beautiful views from the rooftop deck. We’ll definitely return!!

Perfect for children!!

This location was absolutely perfect for our small children. Just steps to the beach but also really close to restaurants and shopping! It was fully stocked with children’s books, games, and toys. Not to mention the children’s loft room with bunkbeds upstairs was a major hit! We would definitely stay again!!

Sisters getaway

This house fit #1 on our list: close to the beach (Gulf side). Second was that it did not require a full week booking! How we wish we could have stayed longer! There were only 2 of us, but this is a perfect home for families with kids or just a few friends. Location was excellent..walk on the beach to dinner. Some of the beach chairs, etc were dated, so we didn't mind adding a couple of chairs.

This property is nicely appointed with all you need, it’s very clean and is in a wonderful location. We loved being so close to the beach. Mermaid House was perfect for our group. Hope to return again.

Great location, but had some issues

The house was perfect for our family and in a great spot to easily get to the beach. The a/c unit started leaking through the ceiling the first night we were there. I reported the leak and they sent maintenance fairly quickly to fix the issue. We were only able to stay 2 of the 6 nights we booked because we received a call from our vet letting us know our dog wasn’t doing well and would need to be put down. I sent an email to the management company to let them know the situation and that we were checking out early. We did not receive an email in return. I emailed them the next day again to let them know I left my Dyson air dryer and asked if someone could mail it to me. After two days without a response, I emailed again. I then received a response and worked with someone at the office to get the hair dryer mailed out and provided a shipping label. That was over two weeks ago now and I still have not received my hair dryer. The tracking says it never shipped. Everything was great except the lack of response / follow up with the management company.
