The Matthew is located on a property with 3 other cabins. It features one king bed, kitchen, pullout couch, TV, AC, personal grilling & firepit area.

On Texas Time Properties has 4 cabins on site. They are spread out on the property giving you and your guests space to your own.

Shared Space Include:
- Gym with 2 weight racks, free weights, Peloton Bike & Peloton Treadmill
- Firepit overlooking the lake
- Hot tub
- Cold Plunge
- Sauna
- Dock
The property is on a well system, and it has top of the line reverse osmosis system. However there still may be a slight smell or different taste to the water. We have a culligan system available in the gym if you prefer that.

We are here to make your experience as memorable as possible, so reach out if you want anything special. We'll try to accommodate as much as possible.

Quick getaway

We had a quick trip to Spicewood for an overnight stay and this place was perfect! We loved the cozy space, all the amenities and the peace and quiet.

Great Property!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a little anniversary get away and the place was just what we needed! Clean, quiet, cozy, and easy, quick communication with the hosts! We will definitely be booking again if we are ever in the area.

Excellent get away nestled in the hill country within minutes of lots of great parks! The house looked exactly like the pictures everything was clean and spacious great for a couple !!!!

Nice Getaway

This was a delightful little getaway! The cabin was spotless, and the owners were excellent communicators, promptly addressing any questions we had. We enjoyed relaxing by the campfire, though we didn’t try the sauna or cold plunge—though I did test the water, and it’s certainly cold! The hot tub could have been warmer, so we opted not to use it. Overall, it’s a charming and affordable place to stay, perfect for a budget-friendly escape

Family vacation

We are a family of 3 with a 7 year old son. This space we perfect and our son loved the pull out couch. The bathroom was ver spacious and comfortable. The bed was amazing and the everything was clean and available! Even things we didn’t expect. Very close proximity to a lot of family friendly restaurants and things to do! Highly recommend this property

A Quiet Cozy Escape

A spot my husband and I will visit again for unwinding our busy lifestyles. The Matthew kept a comfortable climate during our crazy Texas hot/cold temps. Bedding was fresh and clean…BIG plus!! Just prepare to bring an eye mask for morning sun if you like to sleep in. Overall rating…..we’ll be back!!!

First disappointing VRBO experience

Couldn’t stay due to the overwhelming sewer smell and the overpowering plug in used to disguise it. We left within minutes to a nearby hotel. Owner refunded my money minus the fees.

Tamara, We are so sorry you had a bad experience. We did fix that specific problem with the p-trap being dried out. Due to being in the hills, having well water does smell here and there. We are continuously improving our water the best we can. Wish you would’ve let us know right away of the issue, for we have other cabins we could’ve moved you to. Hopefully you can come back and enjoy the cabin! :)

Wow! Wow! Wow!

My little family stayed here for the Eclipse over Texas, and the Eclipse was the only thing that overshadowed the amazingness of this property! The accommodations were clean, fully stocked with everything we needed, and adorably decorated. The real magic of this place comes from all the fantastic amenities it has to offer. Great location, massive hot tub with a swim feature that my son loved, total hangar gym with everything you need for a workout on vacation, access to Lake Travis when the water is high enough, and coming soon, a sauna and cold plunge!!!! it's genuinely hard to list everything this place offers! The hosts were friendly and quick to respond to messages from us too. Thank you so much for creating such an amazing experience for us!

Fitness Lovers Getaway

I'm reluctant to write this review because I don't want others to learn of this hidden gem. But, I give credit where credit is due. If you're looking for a space where the owners have thought of everything to make it unique and accomodatable, here it is. It has a great location in the hill country being close to a bunch of attractions and things to do, but not too close to lose that country feel at the property. But the ammenities are what really set this place apart. If you are fitness junkies, as my family and I am, this is the place for you. It has an impressively decked out gym, a suana, and a cold plunge on site! Truly amazing. We will definitely be staying again, as this property checks every box for weekend getaways. Kuddos to the owners for not being like every other VRBO rental out there.

This was a very unique and awesome find! The hosts were quick to respond, had very clear instructions, expectations, and amenity details laid out. Speaking of amenities- having a place to stay that is only a walk out the front door away from a short trail to a dock on the lake, a well-equipped gym, and even sauna and cold plunge was really neat. We used the gym and it's variety of equipment and were able to get a good workout in. The drive to local eateries and stores was only about 10-15 minutes, and the drive itself was always really entertaining due to the hills and scenic views. We would definitely stay here again if we are back out this way; it was a great stay for the price, easy to book and manage, and came with unique amenities.

Check lake Travis water levels

We booked this cabin for the lake access. Unfortunately the water was down and what we could reach looked stagnant. Spent most of our time driving to Austin and spending time on Lady Bird Lake. Fun trip just not what we originally planned. The cabin was very cute! Loved the fire pit and having a little land for the kids to play.
