Overview: 17 Dove is a small 2-bedroom home just 10 minutes from downtown Asheville. The home features a fenced in yard and stellar views. The hot tub is no longer operational and will be removed on 11/10. We are weighing our options on purchasing a new one. Your also just 5 minutes from Haywood St in West Asheville and 30 minutes from great hiking. The home is small, but spacious and stylish with anything you may need for a relaxing vacation. Dogs under 30lbs are welcomed with an additional $50 fee per pet.

Guest Access: Guests have access to the entire 1.2 acres and entire home. The property is half wooded and half open lawn.

Interaction With Guests: We typically do not meet guests but are always available by phone.

Other Details: The property is right next to a horse pasture which houses 5-7 horses. They’re not our horses to interact with, but in our experience they’re friendly.

Neighborhood Description: The home sits atop a small hill on a gravel road. There are several houses on the gravel road including 17 Dove. The home is generally secluded from the other residents on the road.

Getting Around: Guests will need a vehicle to access the property. We do not advise walking anywhere from the home as the roads are busy without sidewalks.

This little cottage was such a breath of fresh air for my pup and I. The house was so so cute, the yard was perfect and it was just a short drive to downtown Asheville. I will absolutely be staying here again!!

We had fun. We appreciated the little touches, like poop bags for the dog, linens, soap in the bathroom, condiments in the kitchen, and sweet fairy lights in the living room, The sheets were really soft.

What a beautiful view and relaxing porch to chill or have a bite outside. All the amenities needed were available to us. Perfect location to go between downtown and the River Arts district while still only a 7 min ride back to the house.

Property was as advertised. Very quiet location, comfortable beds and very clean upon arrival. Great communication with the owner. We had good weather and enjoyed sitting out on the covered deck with views of distant mountains and wildlife in the field. We didn't bring our dog, but she would have enjoyed the large fenced in area that adjoins the covered deck and patio.

We were thrilled with the fenced yard for our English Springer Spaniel and the deck for our relaxation. We were close to everywhere we wanted to go. The home was very clean, which we appreciated. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed the view.

A cozy little cottage with excellent views of the nearby mountains. Easy to get in, simple instructions for use of the space, simple departure instructions. Made use of the disc golf goal and had a chance to show my kids how to play. Was also able to see a bunch of fireflies in the evening and that was exciting for the kids too. Caught one for them to get a better look and learn more about the insect. Less than 10 mins to grocery, restaurant, Sam's Club and interstate. If I head back to Asheville I would rather stay here than a fancy hotel. A across the board.

We have been renting vacation rentals for more than 30 years and this is one of our favorites so far. It was in the right place and the right size for 2 seniors and 2 standard poodles. The house was clean and the king bed was comfortable. We enjoyed the deck and the yard. The dogs were impressed with the neighbor's chickens and the local turkeys. It is the closest to town we've stayed and that was nice. We spent a lot of time at the local breweries and restaurants and parks. The dogs were welcome almost every where we went. We were sad to see the damage from the floods and happy to see how far the community has come in recovering. We look forward to another visit soon.
