From this one listing, you get all three 80 year old rustic cabins that are working their way into the 21st Century.
Located between Bellaire (Short's Brewery!) and Ellsworth, MI, it's 2 scenic wooded acres right on Six Mile Lake. Other nearby towns include East Jordan and Charlevoix which also have wonderful restaurants and amenities.
The trio of two bedroom cabins sits just steps away from our boat docks.

The view of the lake is stunning in every season. Photographers, painters, birders and other nature lovers will find inspiration on Six Mile Lake. There is a deck by the beach which is the perfect place to enjoy your coffee while the sun burns away the morning fog.

Fishing on Six Mile Lake is exceptional! We have an assortment of high quality kayaks , canoes, and rowboats for fishing and other recreation.

There are two fire pits.
The cabins share the ultimate gas grill, the Napoleon!

Indoors, the kitchens have stoves, toaster oven, air fryer, coffee maker and Big refrigerators! Plenty of hot water for showers! The beds are comfy with lots of sheets and blankets. In the boathouse there are some sweatshirts and jackets in case you forgot yours.

Bachelor Party

I set this up for my fiancé’s bachelor party and he had the best time! Dale was so communicative and so helpful throughout the whole experience and I would love to go back for a family vacation!

Great potential but lack of overall care

Location great, but generally very unorganized rental with lack of understanding what is acceptable practice for rental All three Cabins were dirty, unacceptable condition in all areas. Moldy coffee pot, dirty floors and countertops and disgusting condition of bathrooms. Cabins were not ready when we arrived, even past the checkin time. We never received towels until after we returned from dinner and never had kitchen or bath hand towels or wash clothes ever delivered. Had to clean just to be able to use kirchen and baths. Refrigerators were dirty as well. Actually looked like someone was living there and just left before we arrived. Location is good and plenty of water toys to use. Those too were in dirty condition. The property owner lived on premises with dog which was not clear. He greeted us and was around when we were which was a little creepy as some Cabins had no window coverings on bath, bed or living room. Lots of improvements to the property were being made and he clearly is trying to improve. The fire pit and grill are good quality, however grill ran out of propane in middle of family breakfast for 8, which was inconvenient. We never were able to lock the Cabins because owner failed to provide door code after asking twice. We had to leave our belongings unlocked which also not acceptable. The property has great potential if managed properly. Inquired about a partial refund for condition and return of cleaning fee, but did not get either returned to me. Very disappointing that the property was not in condition to be rented.

Great vacation spot!!!

We have stayed here last 2 summers, there is a new owner this year and he is doing some remarkable improvements to the cabins and property. The owner (and his dog) is extremely nice and accommodating. I would recommend this place to anyone and we are hoping to go back again next year

Great Value

Place was a great value for 15 people. The property needs some work, but the property owner was actively working on the the property and the cabins while we were staying there. Plenty of things to do here, kids enjoyed all the watercraft at the dock. The sunrises over the lake were great.

Kayak fun

I booked the 3 cabins for 3 families to celebrate a surprise 40th birthday party. The host, Dale, was very communicative throughout the planning process and answered all questions promptly. The state of the property appeared messy upon arrival. We were the first renters of the season and he was not quite prepared. There were junk piles around the property. He had said we could use the boat house but it was full of stuff. The toilet didnt work in one cabin upon arrival but we were a couple hours early thanks to his allowance. Our cabin did not have a living room wall (drywall) nor doorknobs on bedroom doors. Dale and his dog were on the property the majority of our 4 day stay and he was constantly making improvements throughout our stay. He did ask to come into our cabin on Saturday to fix the wall, but didnt come into the cabin until randomly on Sunday. I wish the cabins were a bit cleaner and was told the first of my party who arrived, dressed all of the beds and we seemed to be shy some pillowcases, perhaps we couldnt find them. There were a lot of eclectic offerings throughout the cabins. The very best part in my opinion, was all of the water equipment offered. I believe there were 3-4 kayaks, 1 canoe, 2 paddleboards, tons of life jackets (from infant to adult), cushions and tons of oars. We all used all of the toys constantly. It was quite an active stay which we loved, between arm work on the lake and leg work walking the beautiful 2 acres from the lake to the cabins. One of us found a morel mushroom on the property during memorial weekend. Overall we had a great time. There were some improvements that could be made but in reality the host was there improving and provided two items within a day of our mentioning them.
