Great Labor Day Escape

Phenomenal Property

I would 100% recommend this property to anyone considering a trip to Lake Lure. The check in process was easy and the property manager was so responsive and helped us to be prepared. The home itself is stunning and I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful setting. I would come back in a heartbeat and honestly had the best stay!!

Unfortunately, the pontoon will no longer be offered in 2025, however, much to offer and still in great proximity to many area attractions. Perfect Week at the Lake

Mallard Cove exceeded or expectations. The home was in a private cove, conveniently located to Ingles and multiple lakeside dining options. Boathouse, dock and fire pit were a hit! —Kids enjoyed the paddle boards and kayaks. The house was stocked with everything we needed to feel like home. The pontoon boat was spacious and clean. We will definitely be back next year!

Great week at Mallard Cove!

Our family stayed for a week at Mallard Cove. It was probably the nicest home that we have ever stayed in on Lake Lure. All of the beautiful pictures on the website could not begin to depict the beauty and detail in this great house. The house was well appropriated with all needs being met and many fine details to make the stay wonderful. Also, I have to give a shout out to Buffalo Junction Properties and Sue Gage. We had a few minor issues that were addressed immediately and efficiently by the property managers. They were helpful and easy to get a hold of. I would recommend the house at Mallard Cove and Buffalo Junction Properties with 7 stars if there was such a qualification.

Luxurious lake vacation

The kitchen is so well stocked with anything dish, cookware, and appliance you could think of! The house was so spacious that you could be by yourself or with the group and feel so comfortable. The teenagers want to go back next year!!! (So do the adults) the property managers were so friendly and helpful. We got email updates leading up to our stay that evening included recommendations of things to do in the area!

Lake Lure Safety Harbor gang trip.

We was able to get a taxi's to Asheville to do a brewery trip along with eating at Lobster Trap oh it’s a must place to hit. chimney Rock is a lovely little hidden germ. Lots of cool little places. The brewery this is a great stop.t The only downside was the very short notice that the natural hot tub pool was broken. That was the only thing I can say. They made it right by doing a small refund. We definitely missed it after our hike we took. We will continue to come back to this area.

We appreciate hearing you had a positive stay at Mallard Cove. We strive to provide the best experience and the in-ground hot tub pool was expected to be operational, however, unfortunately, the pool service found the problem to be more extensive than expected parts not immediately available. We proactively contacted you when informed, with the owners’ sincere apologies, offering a refund in advance of you asking for one, pro-rating based on the total cost/length of stay, then processing it promptly. There are circumstances that are sometimes beyond anyone's control, and this happened to be such a time. We did our best to make it right and that the other amenities, such as the pontoon for one, included with this home were enjoyed by all. The repairs are now completed and available for guest use.

This house is located in a cove with no other houses which was perfect for our grandchildren. Easy entry into the water a private setting where we spent much of our time. Having the boat was a plus also. The house was clean and had plenty of space. We enjoyed the covered porch that overlooked the lake. Sue and Steve at Buffalo Junction were great! They responded immediately if we had any questions. We will be renting here again!

We especially found the stand up paddle boards, kayaks and boats a memorable addition and resulted in us not leaving the house, by car, once during our 4 night stay!! Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was amazing! Very clean and the location was great! It was very close to Ingles...which made it very convenient. I was there with a group of ladies and we had the best time. The house had everything we needed and more. The boat deck and large porch area seemed to be where we spent most of our time. The beautiful outside stone fireplace was very nice. The agents, Steve and Sue Gage, were super nice and very helpful. They were always available to answer any questions we had. I would most definitely rent again. Trust me when I say...you won't be disappointed in renting this one.
