The house is very large and can accommodate big groups, which is definitely its strongest feature. However, the home itself feels outdated and several items throughout the house need repair or better upkeep. There were multiple small maintenance issues, including dressers missing knobs, shower doors missing knobs to pull them closed, and sliding shower doors missing guides, which caused the doors to swing inward. The refrigerator baskets were broken, and the kitchen was missing basic items such as pot holders and measuring spoons. There were plenty of dishes, pots, and pans, but guests should be prepared to bring a few smaller kitchen essentials. The biggest issue during our stay was the hot water. It was a problem all week, especially in the main shower, which did not seem to provide cold water. Once the water was turned hot, it stayed hot. I requested that this be fixed, but it was not resolved during our seven-day stay. The front door also only locks properly if you pull in on it while locking it. The cleaning service may not have known this, because the door was unlocked when we arrived. The host, David, was not very attentive. He wanted communication to go through Florida Leisure Travel unless it was an emergency, and at times I felt my concerns were doubted rather than taken seriously.Overall, while the house has a lot of space and could work well for a large group, I would not stay here again. I felt more like an inconvenience than a paying guest.
