Picturesque cottage with Mountain Views. You’ll love our lit fire pit area with charcoal grill.
Close to Pinnacle Mountain Fire Tower Hiking Trail and playground. 10 minutes to Johnson City. Front and back covered porches with rocker and glider.
1 bedroom/1 bath with open living/dining/kitchen area. Kitchen stocked with essentials including a coffee bar.
You’ll have access to our safe 2 acre property on private road. Easily accessible to I-26. Between Asheville and Johnson City. 30 minutes to Bristol Motor Speedway. 30 minutes to Tri-Cities Regional Airport. 15 minutes to USA rafting. 15 minutes to the Nolichucky River. Dollar General, package store, local restaurant a 3 minute drive.

Things to note:
There is WiFi available and password is posted in the home.
There are two Roku Smart TVs that are connected to the internet. You are welcome to sign on to your own streaming services, just don’t forget to sign out. Free Roku channels are also available.
There are two exterior cameras that face the front door and driveway entrance and the back door and porch area.
This property borders National Forest and there is wildlife in the area. Deer, squirrels, and wild turkeys are commonly seen. An occasional bear has also been sighted so please be mindful and watchful.
For longer stays, package deliveries from UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc can be made however USPS does not deliver to the cottage address.
The driveway is well-packed gravel and lit at night.
The cottage is easy to get to. It is about a 3 minute drive off the interstate.

Powder Hollow Cottage

Absolutely fantastic! Great location, very quiet. It was super safe for my daughter and myself. Our host was very good about communication. Best of all, it was super clean!

Peaceful refuge.

We loved the quiet location. Nice hiking trail within walking distance. Also a nice play area for kids near the trail head. If you dont want to hike the trail the road is a great. Not many cars and a good workout.The house was clean with everything we needed. A firepit in the back was a nice touch.

Comfortable and convenient

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage! Everything was super clean. It was nice to have a short drive to ETSU nestled in beautiful wooded surroundings. We were able to relax between our trips to the city!

Great Little Hideaway - Close to Everything

This cozy little spot is close to everything. Hiking, fishing, rafting, and all that Johnston City has to offer. Very clean place in a quiet setting.

Unique place in Unicoi

Beautiful place and grounds. Stayed here as we were transitioning from Florida to Tennessee. Definitely recommend for quite and relaxing stay.

Enjoyed the weekend

We enjoyed our stay, and the cabin was spotless. I had to clean out the Weber-style grill before I could use it, because it was stopped up with ash that had gotten wet and old charcoal. It was also a surprise that there was no dishwasher and no garbage disposal and that we were required to hand wash the dishes that we used. Not a big deal, and we did it, but for the price I would expect a dishwasher. Overall, we were happy with the rental and might stay there again if we plan more hikes on the Appalachian Trail in that vicinity. The owner was very pleasant to deal with.

Visit With Family at ETSU

This was such a convenient spot to stay. We were close to our daughter at ETSU but had the quiet and solitude we like. Cute outdoor space for a fire, and we really enjoyed telaxing and playjgnnthe biard fames!

This was an adorable little cottage! Very clean and updated! Nice location! Tucked away in a park like setting but close everything! The host was very good about communicating with us and they thought of everything! Nice added touches throughout! Definitely a 5 star rating!

Perfect getaway

We literally live 5 miles from this house, but we needed to find a place just to get away for a few days...secluded, no distractions, and a place that was peaceful. This house was all of that and more. Perfect setting...feels like out in the country, yet less than a mile from the main highway. The house itself was fully stocked with everything we needed, and it was very clean. We'll definitely stay here again.

Wonderful stay

This is our second time staying here. Powder Hollow Haven is comfortable, quiet and exceptionally clean. I appreciate the well appointed kitchen area and the washer and dryer on site. The owner was quick to respond to any messages we sent. I would definitely recommend this property!

The Cottage @ Powder Hollow

What a Beautiful Cottage, so well designed and decorated, was like coming home, we enjoy our stay very much, location is super convenient, close to I-26, Walmart, restaurants, Breakfast Place. Owner was very responsive, definitely will love to stay there again!
