Welcome to The Blue Barrell at San Remo, on scenic 30A. This super cute coastal cottage is newly renovated, offering first floor accommodations for immediate Beach and Pool access with gulf views. Walk out to the oversized patio and you are ten steps to the pool and a few more steps to our PRIVATE beach! The absolute best location for families with young children or older guests. This hidden gem on 30A is nestled in a luxury beach front gated community. No front desk check in hassle to worry about. Just park and walk into your vacation.
San Remo guests have access to the gym, seasonally heated pool, jacuzzi, and grilling areas. The kitchen of The Blue Barrell is fully equipped for nights you are not frequenting some of the best fine dining spots the emerald coast has to offer; many of which are within walking distance. Bonus: We are immediately off the 30A Pedestrian/Bike path that goes from Dune Allen (west) to Rosemary (east), so we encourage our guests to rent bikes for the whole family during your stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property in Santa Rosa Beach. The promixity to the beach and pool, the gated complex and the first floor location were all perfect for our family. The one question we reached out to the host regarding was answered in a timely manner and resolved. Would definitely stay here again!

I would love to keep this place a secret to myself! We have stayed at many places on the Emerald Coast and this wins my favorite of all time hands down. The gated property is tucked away in a private area for a small resort feel. No parking garage with front door parking was a game changer for our crew. The pool was right out our back porch and the beach was a breeze away on the boardwalk.The host was friendly and made it easy to communicate and stay in touch. The decor was eclectic with warm textures. It met all our 30A beach vacation needs and we will come back. We enjoyed everything about San Remo!

We absolutely loved our stay! Kitchen was fully stocked for cooking. The host was very welcoming and shared recommendations around town for food, etc. We loved the location to pool and beach. We also loved the parking and privacy of the complex. Hidden gem!

Overall, it was a great trip and stay and we would consider booking here again. The host was friendly and communicative, and the highlight was definitely location and proximity to pool and beach. With 2 boys, we loved being on the first floor.Some of the things that made it just 4-star for me were the windows and lack of black out/light blocking shades. Between the early sunrise (master) and the additional bedrooms being off the condo walkway (bright exterior lights), it was very hard to get much sleep. Other notes- front door is very tricky to open, hallway bath shower needs refreshing, TV is hard to work, and oven takes a long time to cook (was really hoping for an air fryer). Other than that, would recommend.

Cozy and clean! All the amenities you could ask for. Parking right by front door made for easy unloading and loading car. Note that the top shelf in Left kitchen cabinet where blender is- loose and tips down. Short walk to the beach was perfect and we we enjoyed morning workouts in the gym! Coffee in the outdoor living area was private and peaceful. We will definitely stay here again!

This was our first stay and we loved this unit! It’s a great location and the unit is decorated so nicely with a lot of charming touches. It exceeded our expectations! Also, great job by the housekeeper. It was very clean! The kitchen is also extremely well equipped and all the beach equipment was such a nice bonus!

A Thanksgiving Beach Trip to Remember

Perfect spot

The Blue Barrell is nestled in a perfect spot on the beach. We walked to restaurants every night and enjoyed biking the trails. You also can’t beat the proximity to the beach. Wonderful!

Great location

The condo was a great location and updated beautifully. It was perfect for our family which included teenagers and small kids. Steps away from the pool and a short walk to the beach on the boardwalk. The beach was beautiful with clear water and white sand. Our family had a great time and we will be back!

The most welcoming condo on the gulf

Amenities are top notch; perfect sized property and the condo had everything we could have needed for a family fun weekend. From the coffee makers to the serving platters- huge island for gathering. Everyone wants to come back again!

Winter break

"About us." Newly married during the pandemic, we cancelled our big 2020 wedding at the last minute and decided it would be just as fitting to get married under a large southern oak tree instead. Once married, we had no where to go for our honeymoon other than a little secret beach on a hidden highway called 30A. This was not our first trip to this coast by any means, but this was where we fell in love again and again. A few years later we have found ourselves a slice of heaven at San "Dreamo" (our nickname for San Remo). Who needs a big wedding and a honeymoon when you have a forever honeymoon. ❤

When we found this property it was love at first sight. My eyes literally welled with tears it was that perfect. Every inch of it was designed with meaning and love. I hope you love it the same way that we do.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

I think our favorite thing about this property is the location. A short walk to the west will land you in the heart of Gulf Place with all of the amenities there (Shunk Gulleys, Pecan Jacks, The Perfect Pig to name a few). Goat Feathers is to the east, Local Catch, The Grove and Basmatis restaurant and Mimmos Italian. There is no end in choices for good things to eat that are within walking/biking distance.
From the beach, we have a private boardwalk that is no where near a public access; much of our beach to the east is a non-rental zone, which lends itself to optimum privacy.
In the mornings we like to walk to the east toward Draper Lake. Once there, it is absolutely magic the way the lake meets the ocean.
In the evenings, just look to the west for a fire-in-the-sky sunset like you can see no where else. It is truly something to behold.
