Thank you for staying at our home. Thank you for your kind words about our property. We agree it is a special home with a great view from the back porch. Thank you for your complimentary words about Kora, he is a great resource to all of our guests and we are lucky to have him. In regards to the water issue, it is drought season in Peñasco. The ten-thousand-liter cistern, enough to last a typical American family of four for one week, lasted you and your guests, 5 Adults and 2-4, perhaps up to 6 children that you, conveniently, keep forgetting to mention staying on the property as though they do not count as guests, 24 hours. After the first 24 hours, we paid for a water truck to come and refill the cistern -full, and 48 hours later, upon your checkout, it was empty again. You can continue to claim that there were five adults in the home, yet according to neighbor observations, there were also multiple children at the home. Believing there is no way, anyone can be so wasteful, especially during a drought, we spent the next week after your departure checking the water system for leaks. We had a plumber inside the tank and we had him go over the entire system. We replaced things that might/maybe could be causing a problem. Realistically these changes did not make a difference to the next guests, us. The only logical conclusion is that along with the five adults clearly the 2-6 children staying in the home as witnessed by neighbors make a difference. Your wastefulness with the water is a disgrace. The use of the hose on the back porch for whatever reason was also an obscene waste of water during the drought conditions. You were cautioned about being wasteful and you ignored these requests. Neighbors around you went days without water altogether and sat in anguish at your lack of respect for these vital resources. You have the audacity to “ding” the property for your disregard for decency. Over six guests require per person fees, why are you less than honest about your guests both in the reservation and in the review? You are not welcome to stay at my beautiful property again and I caution anyone from inviting you to theirs.
