Escape to our charming 3-bedroom vacation home, sleeps 6 and offers a crib in Lorain, just an 7-minute walk from the stunning shores of Lake Erie. This cozy retreat offers a perfect blend of comfort and convenience, with a fully stocked kitchen, 2 fireplaces, 4 smart TV's with satellite/cable channels for your entertainment.

Pet friendly!

Unwind in the living room, or venture outside to covered patio, and soak up the sun. Gather around the fire pit for a memorable evening under the stars, or explore the nearby Oberlin College, Cedar Point, Cleveland and Crocker Park, just 25-minute drives either direction.

The property was clearly welcoming to pets although we didn’t bring ours! Homely decorated, thoughtfully renovated old house with lots of windows, well furnished basement for (kids) entertainment. Back yard with lounge chairs and pergola, comfortable and conducive to fun family time. Host responsive and accommodating.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house. There was snacks, coffee and really nice bathroom soaps and lotions. The back yard was perfect to sit by the fire and listen to music. The neighborhood was so well kept as was the yard and flowers at the Mildred mansion. We'd love to visit again!

We enjoyed the house and backyard, and the nearby park and beach were an easy walk. Everything we needed was available in the kitchen, and the beds were comfortable. Check-in/out went well, too.

We had a great stay at this property. The owners were very communicative and helpful, especially after I made a mistake when booking. They went above and beyond in their support! Check-in and check-out was seamless, with a keypad entry. Everything was as described in the listing.

Fantastic in every way

From contacting Diana before booking with questions, we knew this would be a great experience. She is very quick to respond and very helpful. The beautiful house was completely clean and decorated with an artist's eye. The home had everything we needed and many things we didn't know we needed. An added touch in the shower was a dual shower head with a handheld attachment. It's one of those things that once you have it, you don't like to be without. It's an example of the attention to detail at this property. Very friendly neighbors and a quick walk to Lake Erie added to the experience. Diana is a true professional who was meant for this kind of work. You will not be disappointed with the house or the welcoming feel of Diana.

Intrusive and Unprofessional Host: A Nightmare Stay

It was awful-- and I would strongly advise against staying here. From the moment we arrived, it was clear the host was intrusive and unprofessional, creating an incredibly uncomfortable environment.First and foremost, the host actively spied on us through a Ring camera. While security is understandable, the host took this to a disturbing level by harassing my daughter through the camera, rudely claiming that we needed to leave despite our reservation being valid. It was clear she didn’t even know how long our stay was supposed to be, which is shocking for someone managing a rental.The harassment didn’t stop there. I received a nasty voicemail accusing me of overstaying and “taking advantage” of her, despite being within the agreed time frame. The tone was appalling—she told me to “get my things together and scurry.” This level of hostility is entirely unacceptable and shows a complete lack of professionalism.As for the property itself, while it appeared moderately clean at first glance, it was far from well-maintained. The floors had not been properly mopped or swiffered—my white socks turned brown from the dirt. The bathroom was neglected, with visible dust in the corners that clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a while.The host’s behavior was a textbook example of how to lose a customer FOREVER. The surveillance, rude harassment, and lack of cleanliness WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. If you value your privacy, comfort, and sanity, do yourself a favor and book elsewhere.

Wonderful cozy home!

We had the best weekend stay here! The house was so clean and cozy. We did a little Thanksgiving dinner and lazy weekend in with my siblings and their families since we live in 3 different states. We spent the majority of the weekend playing the different games they have stocked in the house. The tween boys loved having their own little spaces in the basement too. Would definitely stay here again!

Thanksgiving get away.

Beautiful home with all the charm. The owner was so easy to work with and answered every question within minutes. The house was exactly as it was pictured and very clean. It was so comfortable for the entire family. If I am ever in the area again, I will definitely try to rent this home again. I cannot say enough good things about it; it was that good. Lake Neighborhood Beauty

We loved this place! Super charming neighborhood right near Lake Erie. The house is also old fashioned charm. Spotless clean. Hosts were very communicative and friendly with our dog - which is really important.

Mildred Mansion

My family and I stayed at the Mildred Mansion. It was beautiful and close to the water. Diana was an excellent host. We got there a little early but were able to check in right away because the house was already cleaned and ready. If I have any critique it is that we would have enjoyed a bathroom on the main floor. There were 2 of them. One was upstairs and one down in the rec room where our son spent most of his time playing the games down there. However, it was very lovely and we would rent again. 9/10 would recommend!

A Home Away From Home

My family and I chose to stay in this lovely home so we could visit Cedar Point. Upon arriving, the host was present because she said the gas grill wasn't clean. We typically don't run into a host while renting a VRBO, however, Diane was very nice. She stated she lived close so she headed over to clean it herself. Around 20 minutes later we got settled into her home. This home accommodated four adults, three children, and a baby perfectly. Diane's kitchen is well stocked. The house is VERY CLEAN. I forgot my slippers, I had to keep wearing my socks around the house. Two days later, same white socks, walking indoors and outdoors my socks were still clean. WOW!!!! I Thought that only happened in my home!! We also like the fact the the driveway had a gate. We could park a SUV and a sedan car comfortably behind the gate. Diane has the backyard set up with lawn furniture. We felt safe hanging out back at night. The neighbors were friendly. You can see and walk to the beach from the house. Just know you will need to cross a busy intersection. The lake "beach" is different from a real beach. With that said, it has a lot of shells and little pepple rocks. If you have sensitive feet like my daughter, wear water shoes and you'll be good to go. Cedar Point was around 40 minutes away. Meijers and Wal Mart are not far away if you need anything. We would definitely stay here again and again. Thank you Diane for the wonderful accomodations you provided us.

Fun with grandchildren

We had two mix-ups due to our calendar dates. I believe that was Vrbo issue and not owner. Diana was great to work with once we had a direct contact number for her. The home was very nice and definitely child-friendly. It was very well stocked too. What I really can’t praise enough was the quality of the mattresses, pillows, bedding, and towels. They were absolutely perfect. We had a really wonderful week.

Wonderful, child friendly home

We had a group of 6 adults and 2 small children and there was plenty of space to spread out and relax. This is a very child friendly home with extras like a high hair and gate for the stairs. The hosts were unbelievably kind and extremely receptive. This location is a quick 5 minute walk to the beach which was a wonderful extra!

Charming Getaway

This quaint getaway is located so close to the beach and is a house full of charm and charisma, making any family vacation here overflow the heart with memories of delight and joy. The Host is very responsive and attentive, answering any and all questions that arise. Definitely recommend taking a trip here!

Wonderful!!

Our stay was really wonderful! The property is beautiful with fully updated everything, a location that was quiet but ridiculously close to the park/beach, and owners that were so attentive. You can tell the effort they have put into making the stay as easy as possible for the guests, with lots of little but important details (extra towels easily accessible, brand new washer/dryer, ceiling fans, etc). They even had outlet covers in everything knowing they had a toddler in the group that was staying. So thoughtful! We will define it be booking again when we visit Lorain again. <3
