Private entrance with its own kitchen and private bathroom. Pet friendly yard. Nice view with a short walk to downtown Nevada City. High speed internet. The studio has a low ceiling so not be ideal for guests taller than 6ft. Please let us know your ETA so we can turn on the heater at least an hour in advance ahead of your arrival. Message with any questions, and for a discount rate!

We met the host briefly and she was very pleasant. The bed and room was comfortable and very accessible to town. Yes, be careful about the wood beam overhead! We couldn't get the heat to work but didn't try that hard and were ok without it.

The host is very responsive. There was a very friendly lady upstairs. Who provided tips about the heater. What have been nice to have a TV but not a game stopper. Amenities said it had a coffee pot, but it did not. Some updating would be great. It’s very rustic very close to downtown so convenient. Would be nice to refresh the kitchen the stove had very old aluminum foil around the burners. There was only one Drinking glass, 4 cups, but two of them were very dirty inside with stains and there was no microwave that would’ve been nice.

Studio seemed very run down. Bed was old and uncomfortable, and the sheets did not smell clean. Sink and shower water did not drain properly. Critters running through the walls woke us up at night. We did not stay for our second night, we ended up staying somewhere else.

Good and not so good. Excellent location, 5 minute walk to downtown. Park on High St and then a steep walk up to the studio. Tough if out of shape or any difficulty with steps. Crusty interior layout and finish but clean. Comfortable bed. Heard some pitter patter in the middle of one night. I forgot a shirt after leaving but the host proactively contacted me and arranged to mail it to me. Thanks Sam! This rental was appropriately priced.

I am too tall (no head clearance under ceiling beam and in shower.)I am not ambulatory enough to climb the (10) STEEP concrete stairs from the on street parking — or to descend on these STAIRS — was even more difficult — I had to grip the ground cover and could not at all descend in a normal and safe manner. There are no hand rails — and there is no house number at street level. One should be under 5’ 6” to stay there safely and be in excellent physical condition.Nice trees out front with beautiful fall colors.

The accommodations were clean and sufficient for our stay however, I probably wouldn't recommend this property as the ceiling was very low and anyone over 5'9" would have a difficult time fitting into all the spaces (especially the bathroom /shower). I would recommend that the owner put a little money into their property to improve the living space.

This spot is perfectly located. We were just there for a quick overnight, not thinking too much about it, but it worked out so well that I'd just rebook here in the future. Lovely neighborhood, lush green yard, lots of easy parking, just a few minutes walk to the cute downtown, and right by the highway for driving off to the river or hikes. The studio is simple, well priced, has an easy check-in setup, and was a great spot for folks like us who just needed a touch down point, and a comfy bed, while we spent the rest of our time exploring.

great location! great price! clean and neat. very nice place to sit outside and enjoy the weather. Do keep in mind that there is a low ceiling with a crossbeam. Anyone above 5'7" will be likely to hit their head. If you're not tall its a great value for the price.

Really Nice adorable digs in Downtown Nevada City.

Yes. It was perfect for me for visiting family and friends in Nevada City. Convenient and easy access to downtown. Also a plus that it was a west facing basement walkout, so it stayed cool for the hot summer nights and days. I would 100% stay here again.

Nevada City Visit

Heater was old and did not work. Could use an upgrade. Had to climb a few steps to get to room. Not for guests with mobility issues. Kitchen had a small pot and frying pan but no cooking utensils. Property had no microwave. Room had a large support beam and can be a safety hazard for taller guests. Only 2 regular bath towels provided. At least 4 would have been more convenient. Overall, you get what you paid for.

We couldn't get any sleep because of the noise from upstairs. The walls were very thin. There were also loud rodents in the walls throughout the night. The whole apartment (including the shower) was well under standard height and we had to crouch to move around. The fixtures were crude at best. We left after the first night even thought we booked it for longer. Also, the location was well outside of downtown Nevada City.

It was a dark and stormy afternoon

We arrived at "this place" on a very rainy and cold late afternoon and the heater was out, they had a small heater in there that they said would warm the room sufficiently however it was too cold to stay. The guy said if we had wanted it warm we should have told him and he would have plugged the heater in earlier. REALLY? It was going to take forever to warm that place up so my daughter and I had to pack up and find another place to go. I asked for a refund given the fact that we didn't have any heat and he gave me $20 back I'm very disappointed in this property.
