Gold Hill is a small city situated along the scenic Rogue River, approximately 10 miles north of Medford, in Southern Oregon.

Gold Hill has a rich history dating back to the 1850s when gold was discovered in the area, leading to a gold rush and the establishment of the city. Today, visitors can learn about the city's past at the Gold Hill Historical Society Museum.

The city is surrounded by picturesque mountains and forests, making it an ideal destination for outdoor enthusiasts. There are several hiking and biking trails in the nearby hills, including the popular Table Rocks trail, which offers panoramic views of the Rogue Valley.

The Pacific Northwest has seasonal Box Elder bugs. They like the maple trees and are very hard to prevent. They are completely harmless but can be annoying in the outside areas. We have pest control come often and trim the trees where we can. It is just part part of being in nature near the river.

The room was at the end and was very quiet. The room had everything we needed. The river is right behind the cabin just down a steep hill with a beautiful sandy beach area. We could see a turkey grazing across the river. We ate at Massey's and it was wonderful and we do recommend it.

Our Go To in Gold Hill

We like to visit our family in Medford and found this wonderful place on the Rogue River. It is very restful and pleasant, has a grocery store nearby. We cook all our meals there. It's our Go To place!!

Great Stay

We had a great stay while visiting family in Medford. We wanted a place on the river. This was perfect. Plenty of kitchen space to cook, it was very clean, easy to find and was very comfortable. Smart TV a plus, good wifi. Overall we enjoyed out stay and will book again!

Rogue River

I can’t believe I found this place. It was just what we needed, spent most of our time just sitting by the river. My only regret, we didn’t stay longer. I could go on and on, maybe we will make it back!

Fall visit

Amazing coffee set up and kitchen provisions. Only suggestion is to raise shower head. It seems to be mounted around 5' high, which is low for most people. Lovely visit.

Only two towels and nobody to ask for more, no management on site.Some crackhead lookin folks live there, weird place. The tv runs off WiFi and the signal is too weak to watch anything-so, no tv.Fire pit is down a fairly steep trail, hard to access for folks with back issues, needs stairs. Pics are misleading.Worst shower on the planet. The shower head is shoulder height, and I’m 5’9” The bed was very comfortable!

Cute getaway for me

My apartment was a cute little place right by the Rogue River with all the amenities I needed for a getaway vacation. I did suggest they get an attachment for the shower for taller people than me, and put an air conditioner in the bedroom but other than that it was perfect. And across the street is a coffee shop at the RV park and they had an artisan market on the weekend which was really cool. Across the river is the Del Rio vineyard and tasting room and they have a Sunday concert series in the afternoon in the trees in the shade. It was a really hot weekend but it was a cool place to hang out. I would go back again and maybe upgrade to one of the other units

Here are some reasons this place did not work for us: Access to river was too steep No outdoor amenities such as chairs, deck, BBQ TV streaming was either poor or non existent Coffee pot was a 2-cup Bathroom was tiny Sofa has seen better days Hope this helps.
