Relax with family, plan a fishing weekend with friends, or enjoy a private getaway on our canal front home with dock, just a short 4-minute walk to Alligator Point's quiet beaches. The Flip-Flip Hideaway is the perfect escape on Florida's Forgotten Coast. So many options for fun without screen time: get out the cornhole or bocce ball, fish off the dock, bike on the new trail, kayak in the bay, or just sit back with a book and birdwatch in our shady backyard. The house is full of amenities including an added game room; all you need are your flip flops.

So come visit the Flip-Flip Hideaway for your perfect escape on Florida's Forgotten Coast for when you want to get away from the crowds of other beaches.

We do allow up to 2 dogs to travel with you with a $120 total pet fee.

Excellent communication with the host from the beginning. This quirky old Florida house has been nicely renovated with lots of love and fun! Perfect home for families and couples who enjoy games and music. Karaoke machine, record player, games, and a fun game room on the lower level. We also enjoyed the fire pit in the back yard. One of the best stocked homes I have rented. Soaps, shampoos, coffee, snacks, and even popcorn. Just a short walk to the beach.

We had a great stay at Flip Flop Hideaway. As others mentioned, house was very clean and easy walk to beach. Weather was very good for our trip, but the house had plenty of room and plenty of things to do for entertainment even if we’d had rain days. We had five adults and a three year old, and never felt crowded. Lisa was a very nice and very responsive host.

Nice cottage on alligator point, close to beach access with very quiet beaches and a few great restaurants within a 30 minute drive. If you need a break from the fast paced every day to day, stay on alligator point. It was a great place but it does have a musty odor so I couldn’t give it a 5 star. The owners were very helpful with our stay.

I loved how fully stocked the kitchen is! Made cooking meals for the family a breeze. The dining table is large enough for family dinners and board games. Two blocks walk away from the beach solves the parking issue :) The units caretakers make huge strides to make sure every detail is taken care of. Our family of 10 felt spaced out and relaxed.will love to come back again!

This place is in a great location, quick to get to the beach and easy access to the bay via the canal. We will definitely be back. The kitchen is stocked with good quaility cookware and appliances. The “take one, leave one” library was a hit, as were the board games! The beach is beautiful, 10/10 would recommend.

Quiet Ocean Stay

This was a spacious, and well equipped home to stay near the beach for our family. Comfortably accommodated 6 of us; 3 adults, 1 teen, and 2 children. Plenty of games and entertainment, and the hosts were very communicative and pleasant to deal with. Thoroughly enjoyed the quiet community and close proximity to the beach. Would like to return and stay again!

Great vacation home. Everything you need for a relaxing stay at the beach. Without a doubt this is the most well stocked home we’ve stayed in. We highly recommend the Flipflop and will definitely stay here again.

Truly special place

We had an amazing stay at Flip Flop Hideaway! The kids enjoyed fishing off the dock and the house was comfy for our family. We have stayed at many rentals and never have visited one that was so thoroughly stocked. The hosts really go above and beyond to make you comfortable. FYI - you will want to stop and get groceries on your way in as there is not a grocery store nearby. We realized we forgot coffee and were worried about it but when we got to the house the host had a variety for us to use thankfully! The walk to the beach was short and easy for our five year old. The beach is beautiful - calm water, soft sand, no crowds and amazing sunsets. We brought two dogs and it wasn’t stressful as the yard is fenced in (besides the waterline - we brought a long lead to keep our youngest dog out of the water). We enjoyed the fire pit every night under the stars and coffee every morning on the peaceful porch. The kids caught a few fish but, after talking to the neighbors, they mentioned the fishing is really good starting in April. If you’re looking for an off the grid, peaceful family vacation this house and area is perfect!

Amazing Workation

We loved our time at this location. Quiet and friendly neighborhood. Even without being on the shore you can hear the waves at night and the night sky was beautiful without light pollution. Would highly recommend staying at any home owned and maintained by this couple.

Great Beach Escape

We spent a great long weekend here with family and friends. Well equipped and located in a quiet area a couple of minutes walk to a gorgeous and quiet beach. Host is very responsive and great to work with. Will definitely stay again!

This was our second trip to the flip flop hideaway.

We love this house and area. The neighbors are friendly, it has cool white squirrels and the beach is very close. We made some excellent dinners and caught some fish. Unfortunately we had to leave early due to the hurricane. The hosts went out of their way help and refund some of the fees. I hope to return soon. You can’t go wrong staying here!

A great house

We stayed at the Flip-Flop Hideaway. It was minutes to the beach we loved the location! The house was wonder full: loved the covered car port kept the car cool all day! The house had tons of games, books, CDs and some great records that you can play on the record player, football, beach chart /toys/and chairs, yard games like can jam and corn hole, a karaoke machine, and a ping pong table. So fun and cool! Lots of bathrooms and showers! It was just my family of 4 and it felt huge but homey with all the bedrooms just off the Livingroom the kids felt safe and close to us but slept happy in their own rooms. Our Host was wonderful (Thank you Lisa!) Loved the tiki hut near by and we eat second year in a row at Trident -delicious! My favorite activity is always the Gulf Specimen Marine Lab. A great house for our trip.

Lovely stay

The house is very well appointed and the location is peaceful and beautiful. Owner is very responsive and kind. Yard is nice and right on the canal. Would be great for fishing! I just didn’t have time. Would definitely book again!

We absolutely loved this house!!

We stayed at the flip flop hideaway for a week in March. The house was furnished with every thing you could want. Perfectly clean and in a great location. The beach is only about a five minute walk. There were many times while on the beach there was not another person for as far as I could see. Good neighbors, good restaurants, nice house in a great location. What more can you ask for. We hope to return.

Perfect family time!

Better than we expected. Everything to keep us all happy. Immaculate with lots of possibilities for indoor entertainment had we needed it. Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. Good biking and walking path. Close to beach access. Canal made for easy access to open water for paddle boards. Extraordinary sunset on the beach to top it all off!!!

Awesome house for a family

As the family and I drove down the island to the house we immediately got a safe and comforting feeling. We noticed that there wasn't much to attract a lot of unnecessary traffic to the area which was perfect for our secluded vacation. Once entering the house we found that it was very clean and thought out for a vacation property. There were many games for the kids to enjoy as well as the rest of the family to spend quality time together. This house had all of the amenities you can think of from the pots, pans and seasonings to the bathroom supplies we always seem to forget when traveling. Although the fishing in the area was not as enjoyable as we would have hoped, the family and I had an absolute blast with the ping pong table and other outdoor games provided with the rental. 5 stars

Getaway

We had a wonderful time...the house was everything that was listed and more..we had brought our fur baby and the back yard was fenced which was a big plus..the neighborhood was very quiet...close enough to go to Carrabelle and into Panacea..the beach proximity was awesome....i would highly recommend this property to anyone who would just like to go and relax..

Flip flopping fun; rain or shine

Our stay at this lovely bungalow was exactly what we needed. A short block and a half walk to the beach access path and beautiful views of both sun rise and sunsets are in store for Flip Flop visitors. The house was so clean, nicely decorated and well organized that it felt like home from the moment we made it through the threshold. The high ceilings and open floor plan as well as the large enclosed patio make this place feel huge. The well-shaded, fenced-in backyard and boat dock were nice places to stroll and sit in the mornings and in the afternoon. Even after the weather got wet, being in the house was a great place to get “stuck”; playing ping pong or darts on the patio or watching movies or playing video games on one of the four large Roku TVs was also a great option. Stacks of board games, shelves of all sorts of books and even a karaoke machine were available if any of the other included distractions weren’t of interest. Cooking was also an easy pleasure in the well- stocked and well-organized kitchen I really hope we can stay here again.

Great family getaway!

Alligator Point is an amazing destination and Flip Flop Hideaway compliments it so well! We were able to enjoy the beach without the hassle of packing it all ourselves: 4 great beach chairs, a cart, floats, & an outdoor shower! Our family was never without entertainment- indoors or out. We loved the popcorn machine! Great hosts.
