Paradise on Tybee with Private Pool

Welcome to your Tybee paradise! * POOL* 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 screened in porches, and a generous private outdoor area with a beautiful private pool. Tybee Tonic gives your family and friends ample space to relax and enjoy some Tybee time. The house is an easy walk to the 13th st. boardwalk for some fun at the beach. The location is a perfect mix of the quiet serenity of the back river with quick access to the beach and commercial south end business district.

After a day at the beach, come take a rinse in your private outdoor showers before taking a plunge in the refreshing pool. Then, head to the well-equipped kitchen to create a family meal of fresh local Georgia shrimp! It's also a super quick walk to AJ's for the best seafood on views on the island. When it is time to relax and unwind from a busy Tybee day in the sun, there are 2 living areas to lounge and chat or watch movies. There are 2 bedrooms and a full bathroom downstairs. The first bedroom downstairs has 2 full beds, the second has one queen. Upstairs, there are 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The Master upstairs has direct access to the screened in porch and a king sized bed. The second upstairs bedroom has a queen bed and an en-suite full bath, and the third upstairs bedroom is a bunk room with two twins for the kids.

Rent a golf cart for your stay for ~$110 per day (rentable days are 10 am to 10 am). Inquire after booking for availability of the cart.

The pool is cleaned and treated once a week. We skim it on your day of check in, otherwise the normal skimming and cleaning is up to the guest.

Good place to stay!

It had lots of room and a great kitchen. Pool was awesome and beach was not far away. Would be nice to have a few lights out on the back porch.

Multi-generational Family Vacation!

We enjoyed our stay. The space and location were perfect. The home could use a little TLC. We enjoy old homes and don't mind quirky spaces when we travel, but cleaning and maintenance need improvement. The linens were clean, there were gobs of towels and the beds were comfortable.

Great first time to Tybee

The property managers communicated well throughout the trip. It was easy to check in and get into the property. We had 12 people in our group and it got us comfortably. We enjoyed having the pool right in the backyard and the walk to the beach was easy. it was a good location overall and a nice property.

We were hopeful about this stay, as the house has a lot of potential, but our experience was unfortunately not what we expected. The rental company was kind and polite throughout, though things felt a little unorganized. The house itself was cleanish, but there was a strong musty smell. The porch, which looked beautiful in the photos, had a mildew odor that made it hard to enjoy, and even the ice from the fridge smelled strongly of fish.After the first night, we woke up to a flooded living room and kitchen. We reported it right away and were told maintenance was on the way, but with the heavy rain the flooding got worse. By the time we returned from lunch, the whole first floor was underwater. Eventually, we were asked to move out for safety reasons.The company did try to make things right by offering us a condo downtown, but since it was mostly bunk beds, had no pool, and wasn’t near the beach, it didn’t work for us. We accepted a refund, though at first only the rental fee was returned. I had to follow up several times and get a little sassy to get the VRBO service fee processed as well.Overall, we appreciated the kindness of the staff and their willingness to help, but the home really needs deeper cleaning, more upkeep, and better coordination with VRBO to make the guest experience smoother.

Great stay, could use some updating

This is a beautiful home that is not ready for the large groups it advertises. The beds and couches are comfortable and clean, liked the layout. However, there are many little issues that distract you from how awesome the home is-- small things: kitchen does not have sufficient plates/silverware for the number of people it will sleep & poorly organized, shower doors shown in photos are all plastic curtains, toilet is not adhered to floor, no electricity on porch, etc. The few interactions I had with the management company were quick and helpful, but after a bit the guest sounds like a whiner. There are also some unsavory outdoor nighttime critters of note. That said my group was super happy staying there, even if slightly overcharged for what we got.

Mouse infestation, rodent had to move- made it to the beach one day

The first house we arrived at looked amazing. Once inside it was dirty. Then we found that it had mice. Mice droppings in the closet. At night the mice were in the house scurrying. We then had pack up everything and move to another house, thank goodness no mice, but the heater in the pool was broken, too many steps as original house was picked because of handicap issues, the ovens did not work, the chairs in the dining room were broken and we had to move on day two of a four day. The location kept us from being able to use our golf carts and with everything going on out of four days we had one day to actually vacation. But at least there were no rodents. We will most likely go direct to a property management company and never use vrbo again. We paid too much for the quality we received.

Great property

Tybee Tonic was exactly as described. The property had everything we needed to make our first trip to Tybee Island perfect. There was plenty of room for three families (6 adults, 3 teenagers, and 2 small children) to feel comfortable and not on top of one another. Each family had their own private full bathroom to use which was fantastic. Among the amenities we enjoyed the most was the private pool. The week of our vacation it was extremely hot. High 90s with heat indexes exceeding 112 degrees. The pool made our time on Tybee extremely enjoyable. Other features of the property like the screened in porches were very nice and inviting. It was great to be able to enjoy being outside in the evening without having to fight off mosquitos. The private dock was pretty awesome. It was a great location to view area wildlife and view beautiful sunsets. The location is perfect for wildlife and landscape photography. Being on the back side of the island, the beach is a bit of a hike. It's not an unreasonable distance for adults, but not ideal for small children. However, there are many golf cart rentals on the Island and you can also drive your own car. The only advice I'd give is if you need to contact Rendezvous, follow the instructions provided by email. Do not call the number posted at the property. When we contacted the correct number, Cory was responsive and took care of our concerns promptly. Thanks for a great vacation Tybee Tonic! A++. Highly recommend!
