Papa Bears Cozy Cabin located on the Branch just across from Indian Creek. Features 1 Queen Bed, 2 Twin Beds, Sofa Sleeper Couch, Futon Couch, 1 bathroom, Living area, fireplace, full kitchen and dining area, Upstairs Deck & downstairs covered patio with grill and fire pit. May-Sept Reserve and Enjoy kayaking While you stay at Up The Creek. Decor subject to change depending on season. Discounts for extended stays. Peaceful retreat Perfect for a quick getaway or longer stay. Come to play or just hit the hay. You will find Papa Bears Cabin in the Backwoods just off a gravel road across from Up The Creek Campground on Indian Creek in Olivehill TN where you will also find authentic country life and wildlife! we can also make kayak trips or horseback riding reservations for your stay.
We are located in Hardin County close to Pickwick Lake, Shiloh National Park, Natchez trace Natchez Valley and centrally located between Memphis and Nashville and Huntsville

Great Place

4 of us went and stayed and absolutely enjoyed it. Great place to stay and enjoy the Family oriented camping, kayaking, canoeing just a wonderful place. Mr Doug and the staff went above and beyond for us and they were a treasure. We will definitely be going back.

Papa Bear Cabin

Absolutely had the best stay. The decor and atmosphere felt like home. The only thing we needed to bring was clothes and groceries. Kitchen and bath had everything you need. We will most definitely be back. Best birthday weekend!!!

I was impressed at how clean the property was. This property is a cute little cabin tucked into the trees, lots of privacy with outdoor seating and a fire pit. It is quite and peaceful.

Hidden gem

We have always loved going to float Up the Creek but have never stayed in the cabins before. We loved it!!! Very peaceful. Just what we needed for a short get away. We will be back again. Hopefully soon!

Definitely recommend.

This was a great weekend getaway. The cabin was nice and had everything we needed. Doug was quick to respond and the ladies at Up The Creek were very friendly. If your not into kayaking (it was my first time but it turns out I’m a pro 😂) the creek is just across the street and a perfect spot to just take your chairs and a cooler and relax. We will definitely be back and hopefully for longer than a weekend.

Weekend get away

Doug was very kind and helpful through this whole process. The cabin was nice but smaller than I expected. The water in the shower was hard to control because it would get so hot when it was on cold basically. Other than that I was very pleased with our stay we enjoy going to up the creek weekly so staying close by and being able to enjoy the river for a few nights being close by was great for our family!

Great Weekend Stay!

We had our first women's retreat here and enjoyed it very much! We only had one major issue. When we first got there, there was not any hot water in the shower. It was hot in the sinks but not the shower which was odd. However, I really appreciated the quickness of the maintenance coming to fix it, and the communication of the owners was great when I reached out about it. The water did get hot for a little bit and then went right back to luke warm. After being on a creek all day, nice hot shower is needed and wanted. We had a total of 7 women taking showers, so we took that into consideration but even after waiting for a period of time, water stayed luke warm. My only other compliant would be the amount of spider webs outside on the porches and furniture and a snakeskin hanging from the underneath the bottom of the cabin. We understand its nature so there's not much you can do to control these things, but a good deep clean outside wouldn't hurt. Other than that, we loved it here and the inside was very clean and well kept. My family and I come here at least once a summer to float or stay, so we will definitely be back!! Up the Creek is the place to be!!!

Excellent float

It's a great cabin with the bonus of being on the property w the float shop. I can see a family having a fantastic weekend with lots of room for kids to run and play. Easy to get to. Managers were wonderful.

Beautiful Getaway

My husband and I rented this as a small getaway close to home. It was so nice and clean with a beautiful view. We cooked out and made s’mores and then the next day we went kayaking which was a fun experience! We will be back again next year!
