Pinecone Cottage is an inviting cabin set in a wooded area in the quiet community of Dorrington -- a perfect year-round destination. Visiting Big Trees State Park? Use our pass and one car goes for free!

LIVING ROOM & DINING ROOM
The intimate LIVING ROOM area is a lovely place to spend evenings having a snack or beverage, chatting with friends and family, or relaxing in front of the Smart TV. The DINING ROOM table seats six.
The KITCHEN has a dishwasher, microwave, gas range, and oven, refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker, and is equipped with plenty of pots and pans, dishes, silverware, and accessories.
SLEEPING SPACES:: (sleeps six)
Ground Floor
* Bedroom #1 - One Queen bed.
* Bedroom #2 - One Queen bed.
Upstairs:
* Small open LOFT (not a separate room with a door)
* One Trundle Day Bed with 2 twin mattresses
BATHROOMS: 2 full bathrooms (upstairs and downstairs).
FOR COFFEE LOVERS – We provide locally roasted coffee from Gold Country Roasters in Murphys. Brew it your way with either:
* Espresso Machine (Breville Barista Express) - we provide the beans; you bring the milk
* Drip Coffee
* French Press
* Keurig Machine

* Four-person HOT TUB - relax under the stars!
* EV charger available (Level 2 J1772 plug) - see fees below.

PARKING
* FLAT Driveway, with plenty of parking (2-3 cars). We keep it PLOWED all winter, but in a big storm, you may have to clear doorways yourselves with available shovels.
We do not live locally but are available by phone, email, or through the app. Our wonderful cleaner is available on-location for immediate needs.
PET POLICY:
You are welcome to bring along up to two well-behaved, house-trained dogs. We charge a flat $125 for up to two pets. Please describe your furry friends and their behavior/personality when you book!
SEPARATE RENTAL AGREEMENT
Immediately after booking, we'll send a quick link to sign our standard rental agreement (must be completed within 48 hours).
These steps are part of our process and separate from the listing site. You’ll need to complete both the agreement and deposit hold before we can send your door code and check-in info.
TRASH REMOVAL FEE ($150):
For your convenience, we have installed a bear box with both a trash and recycling can. Trash day is every MONDAY morning and recycling is picked up every other MONDAY.
We installed the bear box in the hopes that you won't have to take your trash out with you. But we obviously can't guarantee that the cans will be empty when you arrive. At checkout, please take any trash that does not fit in the bear box with you to the local dump. There is a convenient free trash dump on your way out of town in Avery (more directions/instructions provided after booking).
If you choose to leave overflow trash INSIDE THE CABIN, we will charge a $150 trash removal fee because we will have to pay someone to take it to the dump. If all of your trash fits in the bear box, there will be no charge.
EV CHARGING FEE (per charging station)
We charge $0.50/kWh for charging. Depending on your booking platform we will either charge the credit card we have on file or request the payment through the listing site after checkout.
WEATHER AND OUTAGES:
No refunds for storms, poor regional air quality, or weather-related outages (Comcast, PG&E, etc).
In the winter we strongly encourage you to drive a 4-WHEEL DRIVE (AWD) vehicle and/or be experienced with tire chains.
We encourage you to stay informed as best you can about weather forecasts and any planned electric utility outages. The cabin has an automatic generator to supply power to the house during a power outage.
The generator will not, however, maintain broadband internet or cable television if the Comcast substations go down due to a widespread power outage. We may have an emergency internet workaround, but that is not guaranteed. We do the best we can to provide you with full amenities, but rural mountain life has its challenges!
We encourage you to consider purchasing a separate low-cost travel insurance policy that can provide you coverage for last-minute cancellations. As part of the Evergreen Dorrington booking process, we offer you the option to purchase trip insurance from a 3rd party provider.

Please note: cell phone reception is limited in the Arnold/Dorrington area. VERIZON (and its partners like Tracfone, and Xfinity Mobile) tends to be the only provider that works.

I am Chelsea Vaughn, proud co-owner of Evergreen Dorrington Chalet and Cottage.
I am a Colorado native who loves to travel, hike, and spend quality time with family and friends. I love Dorrington because it gives me a taste of the Rockies, but is much closer to my Bay Area home! Welcoming guests to Evergreen Dorrington properties has been a joy.

Having traveled with our family to the Arnold area for several years we decided to make Dorrington our second home. We hoped to find a home that would give us 4-season fun and the benefit of that clean mountain air! Skiing, hiking, biking, and kayaking are what we love about the area, and now our dream has come true. We really like being part of the Arnold/Dorrington community and want to share our home with like-minded people.
