âPLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING â:
This is a 2-unit house. You will be staying in the fully separate lower unit. We, the hosts (2 adults and a kitty), reside in the upstairs apartment, so you may see us outside in passing (or watering the garden), but we generally do our own thing and there is no need to interact if you so wish (But if you want to, we love to meet our guests!) Your indoor space is not shared with residents of the home and you will be the only guest who will use this accommodation. Your privacy is our priority!
There is one marked off-street parking space and plenty of street parking.
There is a large yard (90% enclosed) for guest use with several shaded sitting areas, outdoor dining area, propane BBQ, propane fire pit, and seasonal fruit and veggies that guests are welcome to pick! Please supervise children and remember to pick up after dogs.
Inside, there are 2 main bedrooms with king beds plus an office with a full bed. 1.5 bathrooms include towels, a hairdryer, and shampoo/conditioner.
Kitchen is fully equipped and includes coffee/tea, spices, and cooking oil.
Guest full size washer and drier and detergent is located outside the kitchen door.
For those traveling with children and infants, guests are provided with a pack and play, changing table, high chair, various infant linens, and children's utensils and dishes.

As a rental host for the past three years, my wife and I have had the joy of welcoming guests from all over the world to our home in Portlandâa city Iâve called home for over a decade. We are both teachers and when we're not hosting, we're usually off exploring ourselves! As an avid traveler, we know how important it is to find a space thatâs comfortable, clean, and a little bit specialâand thatâs exactly what we aim to offer every guest.

We reside in Portland's Cully neighborhood, just 5 minutes from PDX airport and 10 minutes from downtown Portland. We enjoy strong community relationships with our neighbors and love to frequent our local amenities and attractions.
Neighborhood Highlights:
Sacajawea Dog Park: Just at the end of our street, Sacajawea Park is an expansive shady park with a walking loop and an enclosed off-leash dog area.
Juniors Coffee: The best walkable coffee and food cart pod (Excellent coffee, several food options, mostly all open on weekends). Juniors turns into a brew pub in the evening and often is a gathering space for those wanting to catch the latest game on tv. Kid and dog friendly covered and outdoor seating.
The Grotto: A serene 62-acre sanctuary featuring botanical gardens and chapels, providing a peaceful retreat for visitors. Lower level gardens are free to access.
Proximity to PDX: Just a 5-minute drive from Portland International Airport, making arrivals and departures convenient.

The property is surrounded by tall lush laurel hedges and includes several shaded sitting areas amongst budding flowers, an outdoor dining area, propane fire pit and BBQ, as well as a seasonal garden and fruit trees that guests are welcome to harvest a bounty from!
Note: Hosts live onsite in the separate upstairs unitâ there are no shared spaces beyond the yard and any interaction is optional!
We welcome kids and pets!! The yard is ~90% enclosed with openings only at the driveway - so we recommend supervising all kids and pets when outside. Also please don't forget clean up after pets!
Laurel House offers a spacious interior with 2 kings beds, 1 full bed/office, and 1.5 bathrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes coffee/tea, spices, and cooking oil. The bathrooms include towels, hairdryer, and shampoo/conditioner. A 58" TV has streaming access.
