The Space:
Gather the entire family and bring some friends! This incredible 5-bedroom waterfront home sleeps up to 12 people in beds, and is situated in the middle of a large parcel with FLAT grassy lawn that runs all the way to the water's edge - ideal for running around and playing yard games, and allows very easy access so everyone can enjoy the lake and dock. At the shoreline, you'll find the private dock, a fire pit with firewood provided, and a nice picnic table for an al fresco dining experience like none other. This is a dog friendly home (up to 2 dogs allowed, with approval by manager, $125 fee per dog and signed pet agreement - contact manager post booking if you plan to bring your dog).
Home features central air conditioning for those hot summer days, a wood-burning fireplace in the living room for cooler evenings, and fast, reliable internet so everyone can stay connected. The primary bedroom is located on the main floor and boasts a King bed, along with His and Her separate full bathrooms! A second bedroom with Queen bed is located on the main floor, directly behind the kitchen. Upstairs, you'll find 3 more bedrooms and full bathrooms and additional half bathroom. The third bedroom has a King bed, and the fourth bedroom has two (2) Twin beds. The fifth bedroom is the bunk room, which houses three sets of bunk beds for a total of six (6) Twin beds. The bunk room also has the pool table, large TV, and sink and mini fridge - such a great space for younger family members or coming together for movie time.
The Kaniksu Shores neighborhood is 7 miles from downtown Sandpoint. Its location along the north shore provides incredible sunrises, sunlight and panoramic views of Lake Pend Oreille and Oden Bay. Make use of the private boat launch just a few doors down, which is only available to those living or staying in the neighborhood. Schweitzer Mountain is just 35 minutes away - so keep this home in mind anytime of the year!
No weddings, events, receptions or parties are allowed. This home is ideal for larger families, family reunions and people that love to be together but are respectful of the home and neighborhood. Thank you.
**NOTE: Each year, on September 18th OR the 3rd Sunday in September (whichever is later), the Army Corps of Engineers begins dropping the water level of Lake Pend Oreille until ultimately reducing it by a total of 10-12 feet. Around the 4th week in September ALL boat docks on the lake become inaccessible and unusable, as the water completely recedes back from the shoreline leaving just bare ground beneath the docks. The agreement with the Army Corps of Engineers states the lake level must be restored to full pool level each year no later than July 4th, however, the last 10+ years the lake water has been at full pool level around the 2nd or 3rd week in June.
**NOTE: This property is equipped with a privacy-safe noise monitoring device. The device measures volume levels (decibels) only, and can alert the property manager if a certain volume threshold is detected. The device does not and cannot record audio.
