Spinnaker is a spacious cottage located only one short block to the beach, two blocks to the city park, and four blocks to downtown Manzanita. Just one house off the beach, it's easy access to take a walk on the shore. This economically priced home is a real treat for families who want to get away from it all!

The cedar interior, open floor plan, and brick fireplace makes Spinnaker perfect for your cozy getaway. This living area is set up with a TV and VCR for movie nights, while the kitchen is well-equipped with wraparound counter space. The small deck in the backyard has French doors entering into one of the bedrooms for convenient outdoor access.

Perfect for rinsing off after a fun day at the beach, the hose outside has both hot and cold water. And since Spinnaker is a pet friendly home, you can bring your dogs to run on the beach with you!

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). The location was great - close, easy beach access and just a few blocks to shops and restaurants. The house was clean and provided enough space for us. One more queen would have been better for us than the bunk beds but it worked fine. The house could use some sprucing up but overall a great place to stay and we had a wonderful trip!

Just What We Were Looking For

What a find! Just the right size for us and our two sweet dogs. Great, cozy space just a block from beach access. Quiet part of town, great for walking or bike riding either direction north to town or south and farther away. We will certainly look to stay here again!

Failure to change the beds is difficult to accept.

We loved the location. Walk out the door, turn to your left, and you can see the beach. Walk a few steps, and you are on the sand. We didn't love the failure of the cleaners.

Rustic comfort!

Charming and comfortable house, though not large it accommodated 6 adults and three dogs very nicely. Fenced yard was perfect for the dogs and we loved the short walk to the beach and cute downtown. Would definitely rent again!

Cute little cabin very close to beach. Fenced yard for our dog. It is within walking distance to everything. Spent our time with friends, visiting and walking on the beach. When the sun is out there is a nice picnic table in front yard to enjoy the outdoors. Enjoyed our stay.

Great house/great location

We spend 3 days with our teens (age 15,19), their respective best friends, and our nieces (age5&7). We had ample room for everyone. The house is well designed for big families, we could all eat together at the dining table and ha hangout in the living room. The house was very well stocked for all our needs. The best part of it was its proximity to the beach (2 minutes) and to downtown (about 5 min walk). We all highly recommend it!

Not fit for ten people

Manzanita is a five star beach, and this house has a prime location. Spinnaker might suitable for a group of six or fewer if they have a big dirty dog, but it is not comfortable for ten. When I consider how much I paid for this house and what we got for it, it makes me angry. The house was not clean enough for us to feel comfortable. It is well past time for new carpet, living and dining room furniture and remodeled bathrooms. We had to ask for enough mugs and bowls for each of us to have our own and a shower curtain that wasn't scummy. We had a good time anyway. That's how wonderful Manzanita is.

Fantastic location! However, the interior was quite dated/run down and the carpet was very stained. The dishwasher top rack was broken and the tv remote did not work.

Spacious house with plenty of games, puzzles activities. Also there were beach chairs to take to the beach. House is walkable to town. Park your car and enjoy that everything is within walking distance. Kitchen is equipped nicely. Bed was comfortable but 10AM check out, is unfortunate. I contacted vacasa to extend that time they said they couldn't. Regardless still a nice place to call home for a weekend getaway.

Great location!

The house was large enough for our group of six adults and two children. Plenty of space to eat and to lounge in the open kitchen/dining room/living room area. The best part of the house is its location. The house is just a couple of minutes walk to the beach and a few more to the stores and restaurants in Manzanita. Vacasa, the management company, didn't seem aware that the house has many amenities that we asked about: a gas grill, an appropriately stocked kitchen including some seasonings and a few small appliances, and puzzles and games. We are glad we brought our own beach towels and sand toys for the kids.

Good location, caution for elderly guests

Great location, well supplied, lots of separate spaces for multiple families. The floods are a bit uneven and my elderly parents (79 and 76) struggled with that when walking so that should be taken into consideration if booking with older folks. There is also no closet space to hang clothes, so you will literally be living out of a suitcase while staying here. Would definitely stay again. No complaints from the younger crowd, but if Papa and Nanny join us, we’d look for a different rental that wasn’t as original.

Happy Home, unhappy customer

The house itself was a lovely and accommodating set-up! The services of Vacasa were so poor
 I had to call twice to initiate instructions for check in and check out not provided, and every surfaces of the carpet and furniture was stained, dust and dirt on other floors besides. Duvets, pillows, creepy feeling. Not sure what the cleansing fee goes to!

Great beach access, not well maintained

Great location. Parking ok. House not well maintained. Freezer iced over and leaking onto floor causing cracked tile. Bunk bed (fastened to wall) blocking outlet. Carpet grossly stained (I cleaned it with deodorizer that manager provided); I declined to have a carpet cleaner interrupt our stay. Manager offered alternate housing but none was available. We still had a great time and I have definitely stayed in less comfortable housing.

Great location, cluttered house

We had a really nice stay at Spinnaker. I would give it a 3.5 if I could. Super close to the beach and town. Loved the fenced front yard. Living are was very comfy, wifi and TV were really good. The back deck and surrounding area needs to be cleaned up. There are critters out there for sure. The kitchen storage is completely taken up with cluttered misc. things. As are the dresser drawers. The fan in the only bathroom with a shower didn't work. Very steamy in there! But, a good rental that would be amazing with just a little TLC. I really needs it. We will stay there again and would look forward to the owner cleaning it up a bit.

The location was great, it is right next to the beach and the main street. We loved that there was newer cookware, with a large group it was nice to be able to make meals. Having access to streaming services was really nice. The sleeping arrangement was not great for a big group of adults but it is good for many kids with all the bunk beds. One bathroom only has a very small tub, so showers took a bit of time with 8 people. The rooms are very small but it is an older house. There were a couple of safety issues that I hope will be fixed for future guests, one of the outdoor lawn chairs is broken, one of the tall bar chairs also had a support piece that came loose at the base. The tile flooring in the kitchen and along an edge by the carpet are jagged, (a piece broke off by the sink and made a sharp shard)also there is a jagged edge in the entrance to one of the bedrooms which I stepped on that hurt but thankfully did not cause an injury. Some of the linens and towels are bleached or stained which was not great. The widow sills could use a deep cleaning and do not open the couch bed, it is very dirty. The place looked good from the listed photos but it was a bit small and not quite as clean. Overall we love staying in Manzanita and had a great trip, the hose was just a bit too small for our group.

Disgusting

We have been coming to Manzanita for about 10 years now. We have stayed at a few different properties. I was appalled at the lack of care and cleanliness of this home. This place was disgusting. Upon entering the house on our first day, there were at least five large, uncleaned stains on the carpet. The toilets had (I kid you not) pee and poop splatter in and on them, and hair in the shower. We found two used pairs of socks in two different rooms that were from a previous guest. A cleaning lady finally came to clean our bathrooms (24 hours later) and she said that the floors were so dirty she had to throw away her towels because she wouldn’t be able to wash them out. Dishwasher was broken. Fridge was leaking. The light fixtures and beams had a layer of dust. So so dirty. Vacasa was a nightmare to deal. I probably had to call them 10 or more times to settle this. They finally refunded us the cleaning fee and $600. Not worth the stress and headache it caused. We will NEVER stay here again.

We reserved this rental for it's fenced yard for our dog. To our surprise, a very large part of the fence was broken upon our arrival. Sunset Vacation rentals staff was very apologetic and prompt about finding a solution for us. They even moved us to different rental with a huge yard. I was extremely pleased with their customer service and we will happily rent from them in the future. The spinnaker is a cute rental, it was clean and has nice amenities such as cozy blankets, kitchen items, games etc. This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company

Cozy, quaint and comfy

This home is so close to the beach, by far it's main feature. The interior is rustic, yet comfortable. The living room space is very inviting and the vaulted ceilings adorned with lights really make it special. The staff at the rental agency were very warm & inviting, we would love to stay here again. A Wonderful Stay in Manzanita

This cabin was perfect for our family's recent stay in Manzanita. We originally had plans for another family to join us but they were unable to at the last minute and we weren't able to fill their spot so it ended up being my husband, toddler, baby and I. This house definitely could have accommodated much more than just the four of us. In fact, with the two rooms that have Queen beds and the other two bunk rooms it seems like the perfect home for two families. We loved walking to town, less than five minutes down the road, and to the beach, less than one minute down the road. The location is SPOT ON. We even got to sit out in the front yard and enjoy some sunshine (which was rare the weekend we went). The only thing I would say is be prepared if you are going to cook to bring all of your fixins (including things like foil, oil, spices, etc). I have stayed at other places that had these on hand but this cabin did not. Overall we would recommend this cabin and hope to return sometime with our friends!
