Indulge in the comfort of two snug bedrooms adorned with brand new queen beds—one providing direct access to the deck with a delightful bench swing. Our little oasis beckons you to explore the surroundings, with breathtaking trails within walking distance and downtown Topanga, state parks, and beaches just a short drive away. And the hike to famous Eagle Rock from the private road is just 30 minutes!

As you venture into this duplex abode, please be mindful that fellow guests may be enjoying their stay in the unit above.

Other things to note, A one-minute drive up a steep hill, marked by the "end of city maintenance," leads you to this hidden gem. Traverse the rocky roads with care and make a sharp right turn up the hill, unveiling the entrance on the right side—a pathway to your getaway and, as a bonus, the best view in the vicinity.

Cozy, great views, and within minutes we walked intoTopanga State Park. We cooked our Thanksgiving dinner in unit B and were grateful for the quantity of coffee a available. We inquired about a Scrabble game and received a new one at our door. The perfect holiday retreat!

The host was FANTASTIC (directions, suggestions, responsiveness)
.the views were amazing and the property comfortable—we loved being on the deck overlooking the canyon. Easy access to amazing hiking and not far from really good grocery stores and restaurants (tho, we only went out for breakfast, on our way to hike and cooked otherwise). There was a lot going on over the weekend in the canyon, so was a little louder than we expected over the weekend but come Sunday, the quiet was amazing (as were the birds, bunnies and coyote we saw). It was a perfect spot for us to spend a few days and honestly, the host was so awesome that it took the experience to the next level. Great place to catch your breath, be with friends, enjoy the beauty and quiet of the canyon!

The home is challenging to get to; road is extremely steep with big rocks and potholes. Parking is very confusing as there are multiple units using limited space. The only downside to the house is the the front door goes directly into one of the bedrooms, and that room has no a/c. Porch area is really nice and the view is great.

Fantastic view. Good communication with the host. The location is great, though an SUV is recommended - the access road is rough. The appartment is clean internally and well equipped. The balcony has gorgeous views of the canyon - this alone is a reason enough for staying. Note that the house has paper-thin walls, so everything that happens in the upstairs appartment is as if it was happening right next to you. A toilet flushed feels like the water's rushing right by you. It was a pity the balcony was not cleaned at least a bit. The balcony railing was so caked with layers of old dust (that could not be just brushed away), one could not even lean on it to enjoy the view.

Tolle Unterkunft mit einem tollen Ausblick in die Berge. Sehr ruhig gelegen.Leider ist der Weg dorthin auf den letzten Metern sehr mĂŒhsam und das parken nicht ganz einfach.Insgesamt aber eine tolle Unterkunft die definitiv zu empfehlen ist.

Perfect break in LA

House was perfect for our stay. Our two fur babies enjoyed the deck. Only issue we found was learning how to park our large SUV in the hills. I would definitely stay here again.

Canyon Stay

We loved nearly a month in the canyonlands. The house was comfortable and well appointed, the view was spectacular, and the state park just up the road. The hosts were welcoming and anticipated our every need. Would definitely stay here again. We'll remember forever the dramatic vistas and red-gold sunsets with coyotes!

Ruhige schöne Gegend

In allem war es perfekt fĂŒr unseren 4-tĂ€gigen Aufenthalt in LA. Die Unterkunft ist weg vom Trubel und trotzdem perfekt, um alle Unternehmungen zu machen. Es ist fĂŒr alles gesorgt, nur die KĂŒchenutensilien in Bezug auf die Teller und Kochmöglichkeiten sind etwas wenig. Die Sauberkeit war nicht perfekt, vorallem in der KĂŒche und den Schubladen. In den Ecken im Bad und Schubladen war es auch nicht so sauber. Hier und da sind Flecken auf Teppichboden und Sitzgarnitur. Ein Überwurf fĂŒr das Sofa wĂ€re aus hygienischer Sicht erforderlich. Wir haben uns mit zusĂ€tzlichen HandtĂŒchern beholfen. Betten ansonsten bequem. Wir hatten GlĂŒck mit den Nachbarn ĂŒber uns. Ansonsten sehr hellhörig. Terrasse mĂŒsste dringend in Bezug auf StĂŒhle und Tisch gereinigt werden. Haben wir fĂŒr uns gemacht. FĂŒr den Preis hĂ€tten wir uns mehr Sauberkeit gewĂŒnscht. Aber ansonsten wĂŒrden wir auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.

Great location

Location and host was great, we checked out a day earlier and did not received a refund for the additional day, but i understand it. I suggest make sure you know your plans before you book. But overall the location and property was great. Its clean guy and worth the price for a nice get away. I suggest it to anyway looking for a quiet getaway.

Is not a full house for you, is 3 floors and divided by floor

Everything is nice but it looked like the upper floor was rented and they woke up at 4:00 am everyday and make so much noise, walking around and also every time they used the restroom you can hear it on middle floor, we could not have a rest at night, also keep in mind that if you have a van, is pretty dangerous that curve.. a small car is ok but not a bigger car...

Topanga retreat

View is gorgeous It’s definitely a hike up there and rough roads but they tell you that ahead of time so we were prepared. I do wish it was a little more updated in the rooms. It felt very bare and minimal and needs a couple touches. The upstairs neighbors were very loud and sounded like they were throwing stuff around all night. But we had a comfortable and pleasant stay otherwise. The view is wonderful

Excellent Stay and would recommend

Everything was great. The view and location was everything we were looking for. Close enough to everything you need but out of the city which is very peaceful. There a few nitpicky things, one is that sound travels in the house a little too well between to two units. First couple of days we could hear everything the neighbours upstairs were doing and saying which made it hard to sleep when they partied until 3am. Which kind of ruined the peacefulness, but once they were gone it was better. The next guests upstairs we could still hear but were much better. The other would be a few more amenities like an extra blanket or two and small kitchen items like oven mitts. Other than that the place is excellent and would stay again. 5 out of 5.

Great views and tranquil neighbourhood

Great views and plenty of space for 4 adults. A bit tricky to get to (make sure you read the listing before booking) but well worth the effort. Hosts generous with coffee, tea, dishwasher tablets etc. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

beautiful view but some things need changes

Was not informed about a lot of things with this property before arriving, including that the road was unpaved so driving up there with a rental was a challenge every day. All Uber drivers refuse to drive all the way up bc of how bad it is. First night, the power went out twice and when connected back to power, reached out to host and she did not inform us that when road work happens in the area, power will be down. The property had a beautiful view but the outside was not cleaned at all. There were cobwebs and bird droppings everywhere on the balcony. Even on the swing so it could not be enjoyed. TV remote did not work, batteries were dead. When asked if there were extra batteries, host did not come off concerned but annoyed when we could not find any around the whole house, we had to go to the upstairs unit and use those remote batteries since there were not extra upstairs as well. Host did not greet us hello or goodbye upon arrival or checkout by message or in person. Did not feel very welcomed. If you are looking for some place to just sleep and shower during your vacation, this is a great place. All the other amenities are great.

Wunderschöne Lage!

Wir hatten drei Übernachtungen in dieser schönen Ferienunterkunft. Alles war sehr sauber und die Aussicht von der Terrasse ist wirklich traumhaft.Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefĂŒhlt und wĂ€ren gerne lĂ€nger geblieben. Zwei Dinge sind jedoch zu bedenken: Der Weg zum Haus und der Parkplatz sind eine Herausforderung, allerdings auch Übungssache, so dass wir schließlich gut zurecht kamen. Man sollte aber beim ersten Mal im Hellen ankommen. Das zweite ist die Lage des Eingangs. Man betritt das Haus direkt durch das zweite Schlafzimmer. Das war aber fĂŒr uns kein Problem. Wir wĂŒrden jederzeit wiederkommen!
