The cottage is a large one-bedroom guesthouse, barely visible from our main house. Very private with gorgeous canyon views and absolutely no traffic noise!
The space
We call our guesthouse the "Secret Cottage" because you almost can't believe you can find this much tranquility in Los Angeles County. A simple, rustic kind of elegance prevails in this unique hideaway, accessible by a narrow, bumpy road the likes of which are rarely seen in the first world. Only a mile and a half from the main road, you'll feel like you've gone back in time as you pass horses, goats and sheep along the way. The house has 1 large, well appointed BR with a new mattress and bamboo floors. Comfortable bath with antique vanity connects to both bedroom and living room. Spacious living room has a comfortable sofa bed, and an inflatable mattress is also available. Three sets of French doors open to a lovely deck. A full "foodie" kitchen comes with everything you'll need to cook gourmet meals, usually including honey, eggs and citrus from our ranch when available! Kitchen doors open to a stone patio with a Moroccan tile table. There's a large unheated pool shared with the main house, and breathtaking views in every direction. Roadrunners, coyotes, hawks and hummingbirds share this paradise, and you can eat meals outside most of the year. From the patio, you can even see a distant glimpse of ocean on a (very) clear day. Great for lovers, writers, naturalists, healers, mountain bikers, adventurers, photographers and anyone who loves LA best from a slight distance!

The cottage is all yours! The entire property is 12 acres and you are welcome to wander around. Large pool and hot tub are shared with main house only.
