TrĂšs privĂ©, 2 chambres, 1 salle de bain et cuisine et salon, barbecue Ă  l'extĂ©rieur. Boogies boards et serviettes de plage fournis Ă  quelques minutes de route de Topanga State Beach. Internet, haut-parleur Bluetooth, tĂ©lĂ©vision par cĂąble, cuisine entiĂšrement Ă©quipĂ©e. C'est l'endroit idĂ©al pour se dĂ©tendre et profiter de la vue, endroit trĂšs isolĂ© et parfait pour explorer Topanga. Best BNB I've ever stayed at by far, spacious, two beautiful bedrooms, great location, whole front yard and picket fence with solar lights, I was feeling queasy from going up the mountain to get into the canyon and they had mustard in the fridge, which cures queasiness. I can't say it enough, this is the best BNB in Topanga.

Great location

Cute and quiet little place that was perfect for my family of 4.Host was very responsive and check in/ check out was uncomplicated. Just an FYI, there was not a washer/ dryer at the property.

Lisa made check-in and out very easy, stocked the place with games and toys, and was great with our dogs. There was wood for the wood-burning stove (much appreciated, since the mobile home doesn't have central heat or air), and the kitchen was adequately stocked. However, with the small fridge and limited counterspace, it was a bit challenging to cook. The stay was peaceful as it's an old, quiet neighborhood perched on the side of a hill next to Topanga State park, though we were disappointed to learn that dogs are not allowed at the park. Trail running in the park is a blast, and made the stay well worth while, though it can be a bit tricky to get back to the Winfield trail as several sections of it are closed.

Exactly what we needed for our trip

We loved staying at this sweet little canyon bungalow! Our host provided everything we needed and it was easy to make contact with should we have any questions. We saw a bobcat, heard the frogs at night, and loved the Mountain View’s. This location is close enough to conveniently travel into the city and far enough away to feel free from busy city life. Amazing hiking trails just minutes away! Yakoke to our hosts!

The house was ramshackle and pieced-together. It was dirty. Dresser drawers sandy, shower soap-scummy, fingerprints on kitchen appliances, gritty floor. When we arrived, neither the internet nor TV worked. The bed broke. The approach to the house was dangerous. In fact, I have a story about that if you care to read on. We arrived in the dark. We drove up Topanga Canyon Road following Siri’s instructions on my i-phone Google Maps app. We turned onto Robinson Road and at last Siri said, “Turn right, here.” But we missed the turn. We drove further until we found a place to make a dangerous u–turn. We went back until the “Turn right, here” command came again. Still, we couldn’t see a road to turn to; there was just the sheer cliffside. I pulled over to the side of the road, and climbed out to peer over the edge of the canyon. In the dark, I could barely see a primitive road sink down-hill between two trees. There were 2 reflectors on a slim post to mark it. I climbed back into the car and passed between the two trees with my heart in my throat because the road was so steep I couldn’t see it over the hood of my car. It felt like I was driving off the edge of a precipice. I managed to stay on the road, and we passed over a narrow bridge without guardrails to an undefined area (gravel and brush) surrounded by derelict cars and an old boat. We weren’t sure where to park.I should have understood a clue from the beginning. My instructions from host had been: “

This was a terrific place to stay with its beauty, serenity and peacefulness. The views are spectacular and the amenities are awesome - with the comforts of home. It was minutes away from good walking spots for my dog and myself and a short drive to Santa Monica and to Malibu. I had an awesome time and feel very refreshed from my weekend stay.

Topanga House

My wife and I had a perfect stay at the little Topanga house. Loved the chorus of frogs at night, great hiking nearby, close enough to Santa Monica but far enough out to get really relaxed. Very happy we stayed here.
