We are sorry to hear that this guest was disatisfied with her stay at our apartment; however, we feel it is necessary to address several statements in her review that do not accurately reflect the facts or the amenities provided. - Communication: We have no record of receiving any messages or phone calls from Jennifer in time to address any of the issues she has raised in her review of the property. Had she contacted us requesting additional towels blankets or help understanding the heating system, we would have been more than happy to assist her immediately. With regard to the other issues that she raised in her review we are offering the following: - Washer & Dryer: A washer and dryer are available in the building, and guests are provided with clear information regarding their location. - Towels & Extra Blankets: We provided two full sets of towels for her stay (each set including a bath towel, hand towel, and face cloth). Additional towels and extra blankets are stored in the downstairs cabinet. We received no requests for additional linens during her stay, which we would have gladly provided at no extra cost. - Heating: The apartment features a working thermostat in the dining room controlling a gas-based steam heating system. Because steam heating takes time to build up, supplemental space heaters are also provided in the unit for immediate warmth. - Window Treatments & Noise: The shades are specifically designed for privacy while allowing natural light. The property’s location on a busy street near the MBTA station, local restaurants, and shops is noted for its convenience, though urban noise is to be expected. - Lighting & Entry: The entryway features a motion-detected light over the door designed to illuminate the keypad without disturbing neighboring properties. It is difficult to address concerns when they are not raised during the stay, preventing us from resolving them in real time. We believe our overall positive guest reviews offer a much more accurate reflection of the quality and value of our property. This is what I was going to put on the public page do you think it's okay This guest gave us 5 stars in all categories. She then gave us an overall rating of 4, stating that she couldn't figure out how to work the Nest thermostat that is installed in the apartment. Apparently the heat fluctuated between 67 and 72 and she found that unsatisfactory, despite my efforts to personally walk her through changing the settings. This was the first time that we have experienced this problem. Moving forward we intend to address the problem by providing written instructions regarding the operation of the Nest thermostat.
