This special place is close to everything, making it easy to plan your visit. This historic lower apartment is within 1/2 mile of Downtown Eau Claire's shops, restaurants, and bars. It's also a 10-minute drive from the music festival grounds (Eaux Claires, Blue Ox, Country Jam) and a 1-minute drive from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. With its contemporary decor, a newly remodeled kitchen and plenty of space, this apartment is full of character, amenities with a pet friendly back yard.

THIS IS NOT A WHOLE HOME RENTAL

My own fault for not checking closer, but I was not the first person fooled by this. It's a home that has been split into three "apartments" for rent. This one is the bottom floor, so you have upstairs renters walking on your ceiling. Yes, it shows up technically in VRBO as an apartment, but would be nice if the renter indicated somewhere, anywhere, in the description to clarify that this is not a rental of an entire home. Description talks about this "home" and this "house", when really you are renting a single floor in a shared house. Other than that, it was fine.

Group of adults in town to bike the RAW. East location to walk or bike to Phoenix park - which has lovely walking trails along the river. The house was as promised with kitchen and comfy beds. Nice ac for the humid smoky weather. Wish we had some lawn games given the nice backyard but enjoyed just sitting outside too

Very nice location! House was beautiful. Didn’t realize it was a shared house though. It was still big enough for the family and puppies. Would stay again!

The Perfect Stay!

The Barron was the perfect choice for a college reunion. The cleanliness, accommodations, ammenities, and location went above our expectations. Check in was an easy process. The coffee maker is a combo drip and Keurig. Coffee was provided. Next time, I will request decaf Keurig cups. We will definitely book again!

Excellent property

This home was immaculate and one of the best equipped rentals I've had. Host was very responsive to questions. Property boasts 3 parking spaces and a large fenced yard. Barstow Street is very walkable from the property. Highly recommend.

Second Time!

This is the second time four cousins have stayed for a weekend. A great experience - clean, roomy, and perfect for our group. Very much enjoy our stay. Will book again.

Cousins Reacquainting

Wonderful property, perfect for a weekend get-together. Very clean and comfortable. Beautiful historic home but with updated conveniences. Very much enjoyed our stay, other than the fireplace that stopped working. Would definitely book again

Need for convenience and beds

I needed a place that could sleep 8 adults yet minimize bed sharing (two of my boys are quite tall and need a bed to themselves). I always look for a place that sleeps at least 10 so my single adult children (6) can join without too much bed sharing. We also needed convenience to my mother-in-laws home and the church. This was for my father-in-laws funeral. It could not have been any better. It absolutely fit the need. Lovely place with the convenience of being in town. Well appointed, well maintained and well managed. My husband and I are looking at coming back to one of the smaller apartments in October

Thanksgiving

The ease of "check in" was greatly appreciated. We had folks coming in from all coasts and had some fa.ily in the area stop by. Well stocked, clean roomy place with a beautifully decorated Christmas tree too boot! We loved it.

Ultimate Getaway

We travelled with our friends to Eau Claire to watch our sons play in an Ultimate tournament. The place accommodated all eight of us very well! A beautiful, historic home in such a convenient location. Thanks for having us.

Initial Eau Claire visit

Great, well located, renovated historic gem! We required first floor space and the Barron could not have been better. Because of the three bedrooms we were able to have 3 sleepover nights with our 2 grandsons, ages 5 1/2 and 3 (next month). We’ll definitely rent the same space on our next visit!

Eau Claire Trip

The only problem with the property was the living room air conditioning was not working making that very uncomfortable. Also the people renting second floor on two different nights were making a lot of noise making it difficult to sleep.

Wedding Week

We stayed at The Barron House when we were in town for my sister's wedding. The house is perfect, the hosts were accessible and easy to work with. During a wind storm a tree branch split and was hanging low over the parking area. We notified the hosts and it was cut down immediately.
