Nestled on 20+ private acres of meadows, forest, and Purgatory Brook, The Loft is a modern European-style apartment designed for comfort and privacy. Guests enjoy their own entrance with passcode lock and access to woodland trails and open natural surroundings. The space is comfortable year-round, with fast fiber-optic Wi-Fi available when needed.

Nearby activities include hiking Rose Mountain, Purgatory Falls, and Mount Monadnock, skiing at Crotched Mountain (approx. 45 minutes) or Pats Peak (45–50 minutes), and golfing at Amherst Country Club, Souhegan Woods, and Monadnock Country Club. Professional dog training and competitions, including agility events, are offered nearby at K9 Country Club, Amherst, NH. After a day outdoors, return to a quiet, nature-surrounded retreat. Place was great! Roomy, comfortable, we felt so welcome! Took my dog for a nice walk around the area in the morning and the country roads were safe and well maintained for a walk.

A peek into paradise!

Hands down this has been the most restorative, magical week away I've ever had. It's the best of both worlds: upscale luxury meets country serenity. The views from the windows are breathtaking and the walk along nearby Purgatory Falls --which is quite literally in their backyard--is a meditative adventure--if such a thing exists. I can't wait to return! Thank you Astrid and Bob-- you have created a heavenly haven!

Impossible to imagine more caring, attentive, or hospitable hosts—or a more comfortable, immaculate, and thoughtfully designed space. This is NOT a retrofit: The Loft was clearly created from the start with guest comfort and enjoyment in mind by hosts with enormous hearts. Bob and Astrid provide a quiet, comfortable retreat in Lyndeborough, NH ideal for outdoor enthusiasts yet convenient to points of interest, services and restaurants. The listing is completely accurate but the space feels larger and is more comfortable than expected. Thoughtful touches—a towel warmer, down comforters, and heating/AC that guests adjust to their preference—make the stay refreshing, indulgent and stress free!The Loft is bright and spotless - you'd never know dogs are welcome - and impeccably maintained. Every appliance works perfectly and comes with a “live manual” named Bob. I was barely done texting Astrid with a question about the cooktop when Bob arrived at the door to help.Their responsiveness and generosity stood out repeatedly. While traveling there during a snowstorm, Astrid texted offering use of the garage (not part of the listing). When I asked about the nearest market for an OTC medication, she provided exactly what I needed and saved me a late-night trip in unfamiliar surroundings.Bob and Astrid are warm, funny, cultured and kind! Staying feels less like a rental and more like being truly cared for. You'll leave refreshed and anxious to return! Don’t hesitate to book!!

Underrated!!

The pictures do not do this beautiful setting justice! We were expecting something much smaller than what we presented with when we arrived. The hosts are unbelievably accommodating. They allowed us to check in early and were quickly on site if we had any questions. My only regret is that we didn't have enough time to spend on the property. If we are back in the area next year, we will definitely be trying to book here again!! Thank you for such an amazing experience!

We loved the Loft! Everything was lovely and comfortable and thoughtfully appointed. We especially loved seeing the stars from the balcony windows. The owners were wonderful. A great respite in beautiful New Hampshire countryside.

Wonderful home from home

The space was lovely and to simple, tastefully European sensibilities. In equal measure it was beautiful and comfortable, and our pets were also very happy. We loved the walk around the property and were very grateful for excellent communication, and pleasant chats with Astril and Bob.

Beautiful stay for Wedding Adventures

We have a great stay! We came from Michigan for my brother's wedding. I was very overwhelmed about being the officiant and making sure everthing was perfect. One thing I didn't need to worry about was where we were staying. Our host kept me calm the whole time and offered any help. We appreciate them so much!

Beautiful property and great hosts!

We stayed here while attending a wedding nearby. Astrid and Bob greeted us when we arrived and spent time telling us about the property. We loved the loft - it’s clean, well stocked with all you need and had very comfortable beds. The pop open windows are awesome and we happened to be there for the Percy meteor showers and saw 5 shooting stars. We would highly recommend this property and we will be back to visit again.

This is a stunning property, and we enjoyed everything about it. Great location in a private and quiet space, with beautiful hiking trails accessible right from the property. The Loft is stunning. It is much bigger than the pictures suggest and features two spacious bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, a bathroom, and even a work space with a desk for a laptop. There is complete privacy. The loft is very clean - spotless! It has beautiful hardwood floors throughout, everything is brand new and very tastefully decorated. It is obvious that every detail was considered when the space was designed and furnished - there is truly everything that is needed for a comfortable stay, yet there is still plenty of space for guest's belongings and no clutter at all, which is truly appreciated. Beautiful, peaceful, comfortable. The owners Astrid and Bob are very responsive and supportive - wonderful, kind people and a true pleasure to speak with. We loved our stay and can't wait to be back next year.

Enchanting property

Astrid and Bob offer a gorgeous hilltop retreat with lovely wooded short river hikes. You can stay in a yurt or their amazing loft. They have a natural swimming pool they kindly invite to share with their guests. You can also order various sizes of BBQ meal packages to enjoy by one of their River side fire pits. The area offers a wealth of hiking and fishing.

A beautiful space and wonderful hosts

My dog and I visited for 4 days in July 2023. The space is absolutely beautiful. Every detail was considered when constructing the space and furnishing it. One could cook a gourmet meal with the appliances and equipment in the kitchen! The property is peaceful and quiet. The location allowed us to visit cities nearby, as well as at the west side of the state and into Vermont. Overall, we highly recommend the property and thank Astrid and Bob for their wonderful hospitality.

Perfection

A perfect place for stay. The loft was more than expected!! Spotless, all our needs were met. A comfy bed, plenty of soft towels, great views, the kitchen well supplied and the hosts friendly and welcoming. Lots of space outside to explore, hiking trails and quiet!! Astrid and Bob were very interesting to talk with and knowledgeable about the area! The location was perfect for our personal needs visiting family. Our family was able to visit us too, including little ones! And our dog Abby was welcome too!! Definitely an A plus for the loft!!

Comfortable and quiet stay

The loft was lovely and very comfortable for myself, my partner, and 2 dogs. It would have been comfortable for an additional 2 people. We spent time cooking and floating in the natural pool. The apartment and kitchen is thoughtfully designed with a european vibe (aka design and appliances from europe where smaller but efficient and usable apartment living is the standard), the bed was very comfortable, and our hosts were very communicative and helpful in providing us with one or two things we were missing (a cookie sheet for the microwave/convection oven). We didn't do as much hiking and swimming as we had hoped because the trails and river were overflowing from a lot of rain, so we spent more time wandering the grassy area around the house. One thing to note is that the entrance to the loft is through a common area adjacent to the hosts' home where dogs can hear each other and potentially run into each other. We had two dogs with us, one reactive who we kept on leash. Other than some barking, we had no problems, and the hosts were very respectful and communicative about making sure we had the time and space outside that we needed.

We found a gem in New Hampshire. This cozy loft was perfect for our family. We went skiing at Crotched Mt during our stay. The weekend brought 5 inches of fresh snow and frigid temperatures - the loft had blankets to keep us warm, and the bedding was very comfortable. We were surprised by how big the loft actually is - it looks smaller in the pics. It was just right. The hosts demonstrated amazing hospitality; not only did they plow the driveway several times while we were there, but they also have a mini-store with handmade soaps, local honey, and beautiful knitted hats, gloves, scarves, and more. That was a nice touch. Will definitely go back!
