Dirty. When we walked up the "death stairs" to the room my wife's throat immediately started to hurt. We left and it went away. We came back and the sore throat came back. The coffee pot was black on the bottom and unusable. This same coffee pot sat on top of a fridge that had a lot of dust and an empty candle glass that was burnt. The hallway outside of the room had a piece of broken furniture and a vacuum with a cannister filled with dirt and debris just sitting out. We immediately decided that we could not stay in these accommodations and made reservations at a nearby hotel for the two nights we were in town.

The area is very nice. The neighboring apartment is a family, and the kids are loud until about 9:30pm, and they smoke a lot of marijuana, and the smell fills the hallways and also leaks into the apartment as well. Would definitely stay again if the neighbor is gone.

Nice stay

The apartment was very clean located in an historic building. I didn’t eat at any of the restaurants, but there are a few within walking distance. Check in and check out fast easy. My daughter lives 15 minutes away so next time I visit I will stay here again

Short stay in OH

A quick visit to see family a couple towns over, nice and clean place. Enjoyed the cuteness of the square.

The location here is what sells this place. It is in a tiny Victorian like square that has access to some nice businesses. It’s close to the highway and close to other amenities that anyone would need. However, this property is ancient. The furniture is ancient, the building is ancient, and it is definitely showing its age. The host provides the bare minimum of things that you need for your stay. No soap, no shampoo, no laundry detergent, a minuscule amount of dish soap, hardly any plates or anything to cook with. The towels are so thin and old they barely dry you off. The threshold to the shower is falling apart. The doors barely close and the floors creak with every step. Maybe it being so old is what someone would call “charm“. I just call it old and cheap. The stairs that head to the apartment are steep and narrow and a safety hazard. The door downstairs that provides entry into the building has a key lock on it, but it does not work. Fortunately, you don’t feel like you’re in an unsafe area, but still the door should work. The furniture is so old some of the chairs are unsuitable. The chair that I used to work at the desk provided sunk so low that I could not use the chair. The TV that is provided is one of the smallest TVs that you can possibly buy. You can get this TV at Walmart for 30. Because of that this rental is not worth the money they ask for it per night. That is unless you like rentals that provide the bare minimum and are super super old.

Charming Glen Gables Suite was exactly what we needed for our anniversary get away! The property was clean and quiet. There was little in the way of kitchen supplies. The shower was hot with good pressure, but didn't drain well. The bed was comfortable, and the host was responsive within a couple hours. We would stay here again.

Lovely section of town

After a terrifying night in downtown Cincinnati, where we were mobbed by tens of thousands of rowdy concert goers, Saturday night party cruisers and Reds baseball fans to see a small concert at the Brady Center. Parking was lieterally impossible, police were utterly unhelpful and people were absolutely rude, we were lucky to have booked our stay at Glen Gables. Cincinati is noi longer our favorite city, but Glen Gables is definitely one of our favorite VRBO stays.

The shower drain did not work. The hallway was filthy, and smelled of cigar. We were told to be considerate of the neighbors, no problem, we're quiet. Only the first night we heard the neighbor's dog barking all night, the second night we heard the dog and the screaming child, and the last night the floor shook from the loud music being played.

The apartment was great. Clean, great location, good size. It would have been nice to alert us to the fact there were many many many stairs. I recently had a broken foot and would have had a terrible time getting up and down those stairs. I also could not get my suitcase down the stairs safely.

Charming little square. The bnb itself had an old smell, broken shower tiles, the lamp in the living room didn’t work. All that’s kind of expected with the age of this cute little apartment but the event venue had some people smoking weed right outside the entrance door. Not the bnbs fault but just be aware.
