Strawberry Hill Farm close to Hudson, Stillwater and many great event locations

Welcome to comfort and relaxation! Exquisite rural setting in the river valley of the St Croix. Cozy up in this brand new barn apartment on our home property that is close to beautiful parks and trails and many attractions and also a half hour from the Twin Cities.
The space:
Designed with modern and well equipped spaces in mind, the entire second floor of the barn space is for our guests use including a full laundry room and fully equipped kitchen.
The Loft at Strawberry Hill provides its guests fresh towels, linens, and many other necessities such as dish soap, dishwasher/laundry tabs, shampoo etc.

Other things to note:
Balconies on both ends to enjoy beautiful sunrise and sunsets. Many trails for walking. Afton Alps resort and Afton State Park close by. Private fire pit on premises for our guests outdoor use. Great restaurants in quaint downtown Hudson 8 min. away and historic Stillwater only15 min. away.

We can sleep 6 comfortably or more depending on if the queen beds are shared. For sleeping accommodations we have the main "owners" bedroom with a queen bed, the secondary bedroom has 2 twin beds. In the living room, the sofa has a pull-out queen mattress made of quality memory foam and bedding. In addition to or if preferred, we also have a Queen size double high air mattress with built in pump and also a twin double high mattress with built in pump and all bedding. (Extra charge of $15 per night for more than 4 guests.)

We just loved the overall property, barn, surroundings and the barn kittens that welcomed you. I am not a cat person in the least and found myself playing with them every time we returned. We will 100% be back for another stay.

An absolutely gorgeous location! We enjoyed peace, quiet and comfort during our stay. The location is picturesque, quaint and perfectly isolated from the hustle and bustle of the metro area that is essentially a stone's throw away. If you're looking for a relaxing and comfortable environment with all the amenities of home, you'll be hard-pressed to surpass Strawberry Hill Farm.

This place looked just like the pictures. It was quiet, and I liked the River Birches right by the deck outside the bedrooms. The front deck had big patio doors and I very much enjoyed watching the horses do their horse thing from up there. The kitchen had enough stuff to do our cooking, and it was close to the cities and Stillwater. The house is in a lovely wooded area with surprisingly few mosquitoes! My friend and I will definatly be going back next year!

Pinterest Perfect Property

My wife and I stayed at Strawberry Farms with our daughter and her husband, and our teenage daughter. As we pulled onto the property, we were immediately impressed. Carrying our luggage into the apartment in the upper level of the barn, we were even more stunned. The interior of this two bedroom VRBO was a beautiful modern farmhouse appeal, with zero clutter. The balcony overlooked the owners horse pasture which was very well kept. The miniature horse provided entertainment as we watched it graze in the yard. And the espresso machine made my wife and daughter extremely happy.Not to mention, this property is close to downtown Hudson and Stillwater, making it a perfect place to stay for a romantic retreat or family getaway.Thank you so much for letting us stay at your beautiful place.

Country stay

Cozy and peaceful place to stay. Everything was well stocked from towels, kitchen to firewood. Very clean and host quick to respond. If you love country feel this is the place to stay. Still close to Stillwater and twin cities. We will be back next time in town.

Girls Weekend

Myself and a friend wanted a cozy place to have a girls weekend. This place was gorgeous and exactly what we needed. We were able to go into Hudson for dinner and also stay in the second night and just relax. The loft is perfectly decorated and has all the amenities you could want. Will definitely be back!!

Amazing property!

Orginally we booked the barn so we were closer to Afton Alps to spend the weekend snowboarding. The weather ended up being way too cold so we spent most of our weekend at the MOA. Although this was about 30 minute drive to the mall . It was an easy drive and nice to get out of the city to relax at night. The house had everything we needed to cook and sleep comfortably. The kids found some fun games to play and we were able to stream some football games from our phone to the Apple TV, and although it is beautiful and cozy we didn’t feel like there was anything our kids could break so we weren’t quite as nervous as we have been in previous places! It really is very very family friendly Jake responded very quickly the couples times we messaged him about certain things and our kids absolutely adored the cats and horses !! We are already looking forward to a summer trip up here !! Truly we can’t recommend this place enough!!

Adorable & Cozy Fall Retreat

The most COZY and PERFECT retreat! We stayed here for a fall girls weekend getaway. From the moment we got to the property, we were absolutely charmed by it all! The driveway was lined with trees in all the beautiful fall colors. Parking was easy and the barn was was absolutely adorable from the outside. We climbed the stairs into the loft and opened the door to an even more adorable inside! Cozy couches and chairs. Snuggly throw blankets and pillows. Warm lighting lamps. The dining table easily accommodated 4 people and there were plenty of stools up to the kitchen island. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need - pots, pans, dishes, coffee mugs, wine glasses, silverware, toaster, bowls...you name it, they had it! The coffee station was adorable and even had espresso pods and espresso cups! The beds were perfectly comfortable, with blankets and pillows that were so soft. There was a ton of closet space which was nice for stashing our suitcases and bags. There was even a basket of slippers for being cozy and a wall of cables and chargers for devices. We loved the electric fireplace for easily starting a cozy fire at night. The patio doors opened out onto a charming deck that overlooked the fence where the horses grazed. The location was also AMAZING. It was a 2-minute drive to Lakeland, a 10-minute drive to Hudson, and a 15-minute drive to Stillwater. Total perfection! We can't WAIT to stay here again!! XOXO

Peaceful

We were attending The River Valley Yoga Festival and enjoyed our stay at Strawberry Hill Farm. The setting is peaceful w/ horses and cats and a beautiful view. The lodging was equally comfortable, perfectly appointed, and so darn cute. I look forward to returning! Thank you.

Minnesota Getaway

We had the best time staying on this beautiful property in The Loft. This is a 10/10 in all categories. The horses and cat added to the whole atmosphere. Gorgeous!! Gorgeous!! We really weren’t ready to leave. Thank you for a wonderful time!

Girls Trip

Strawberry Hill Farm was perfect for our annual girls trip. The owners Jake & Abby were so accomodating. Supplying wood and starting our campfire for us when we were on our way back from our evening out in Hudson. We pulled up and the fire was going! We thought that was pretty special. The property was beautiful 😍.. loved their mini horse "Tootsie". The loft we stayed at was beautifully decorated and each girl had their own bed (3 of us!). We were able to make a pancake breakfast and had a taco/margarita night at our vacation rental! It was the BEST. Very relaxing and cozy!

Even better than you think

This renovated barn upper is absolutely stunning. It is equipped with everything you need and then some. We needed a place to rest and this exceeded expectations. The farm is both easily accessible to Hudson and the Twin Cities, yet has a clearly rural feel. The owners have thought of everything: extra chargers, nespresso, Bluetooth speaker, cozy blankets, and the list goes on.

Beautiful girls weekend

This property was absolutely INCREDIBLE! My girlfriends & I were so impressed by the loft. It was so cozy & perfect size for a group of 4. We were close to Stillwater & Hudson. The area was so peaceful & quiet. It had everything we needed for the weekend. Our hosts were very responsive & easy to connect with in the event that we needed something. We will definitely be back afain :)

Strawberry Hill Review

An amazing property! The loft was thoughtfully renovated- beautiful and functional! We appreciated all of the small gestures that made traveling with little ones easier (sound machines, pack and play, toddler mattress, etc). An absolutely wonderful host family that we would highly recommend. Our children loved greeting Tootsie, the miniature horse everyday!
