Welcome to the Paddler`s Inn! Fully furnished and Brand New Equipped with everything you need to have a great stay in Hilo Town! This is a 3BR home with an office which allows you to sleep comfortable and get all your work done as well. Kitchen and Bathroom are brand new renovated as well. The home is in a great location comes with parking and breezy ceiling fans in every room!

We always recommend to get a rental car for your stay but if you don`t want to rent a car this place got you covered. You can walk down the Hill and are right in Hilo Downtown or by a close by Supermarket Shops and Restaurants. There is no real public transport system in Hilo town but everything is super close by. We love to bike around town too! Aloha!

The home was beautifully decorated, cozy, and clean. The many thoughtful details made it extra special. We enjoyed being able to walk to around the town from here, our visit to the Lyman Museam, and the short drive to local beaches.

This is a pretty space with an equipped kitchen. It has many places to visit within walking distance. We used Paddlers as an overflow for visiting family, and it was perfect for this. Mahalo for a great visit.

It was one of the cutest rentals I’ve stayed in. Equipped with too many things to mention (necessities and recreational use).ACs in all the rooms were a huge reason for choosing this rental, also had ceiling fans in every room. Everything else was a huge bonus.

Great stay in Hilo!

We loved this VRBO for our time on the big island. Very nice, clean, and spacious with everything we needed and then some! Relatively close to Mauna Kea and VNP with plenty of fun things to do nearby in Hilo. Would stay here again!

We loved staying at this lovely home. We opened the door and it immediately felt like home. Extremely clean and neat located and walkable to downtown and only a few minutes from the airport and major roads for activities. Very well equipped kitchen and very comfortable beds. Our host, Simone, was lovely and left a welcome note, coffee and cookies along with other thoughtful touches throughout.It was the perfect place for our family and we enjoyed our stay very much.

Cute and Convenient Location

Charming and spacious house. Location was close to everything - stores, restaurants, waterfalls and beach. Had a great stay and could tell the hosts thought of little details to make our stay extra special - provided flashlights (if you're going to the caves), cold water ready in pitcher, bath mat so littles don't slip in the tub, beach gear, umbrellas for rainy days (which is frequent in Hilo), etc.

Perfect for a stay in Hilo

This was a lovely house for our stay in Hilo. Close to the old town and lots of restaurants and shops. We really appreciated the air conditioners in the bedrooms. The house was clean, everything worked (yay clean laundry!), and the host communicated just the right amount. Definitely recommend.45 minutes from Volcanoes National Park and also 45 minutes from the Mauna Kea visitor center. Rainbow falls is close too. This location is really great.

Cute house!

The house looks like it was built maybe in the 1940’s (guessing) and is really well kept and decorated nicely! The bedrooms have AC but not the living room so it gets hot. We had everything we needed. It was a convenient location to check out the Hilo side of the island. We enjoyed the little house and the area. I would stay here again.

Amazing Stay

Amazing stay. They thought of everything for us. Nice little touches from the snacks down to ice cold water in the refrigerator. The places is very clean and well maintained. Great proximity to things, but far enough away. Would recommend to stay and would stay again!

Very Comfortable

Paddler's Inn is a very comfortable and well appointed old-style Hilo home. A/C was great which made sleeping wonderful. The neighborhood was very quiet (except for the frogs...which we like) and safe. Conveniently close to downtown Hilo and many of our favorite restaurants.

Centrally located adorable home with all the extras!

You can't go wrong booking this home. The host has thought of everything! All the little touches that make a place special are included. Great communication from the host, as described in the listing with very comfortable beds. This home was spotless and homey. We appreciated the welcome gift so much. Fantastic house in amazing location

This house was a rare 3 bedroom rental in downtown Hilo. The house was adorable, clean, and inviting! It was a .5 mile walk to restaurants and the downtown market. We will stay again!

Relaxing Escape!

Paddlers Inn was a lovely home situated a short distance from downtown Hilo! You can walk to a grocery store and beautiful beaches are just a 5-10 minute drive away! Home has what you need to enjoy the sun and sand! Place was clean, comfortable beds, plenty of towels, boogie boards, beach chairs, snorkel gear, blender for cold drinks after a day in the sun!!! Definitely will be back!

Great Stay in Hilo

Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teens) stayed here for 5 days in May. The home was clean, well supplied and served as a great location for all our adventures on the East coast of the big island. Check-in was easy and straight forward, parking wasn’t an issue, and the host treated us to a cute welcome basket. Lots of beach supplies, and groceries were nearby. Walking distance to the center of town in a safe neighborhood. Would recommend.

Paddler’s Inn

Great place to stay in Hilo, walking distance to shops, restaurants and farmers market. The place is well stocked and had way more room than the two of us needed. The place was clean and the owners were responsive. We would stay again! The frogs can be loud at night if your very sound sensitive and some mild morning noises from people in the neighborhood going to work, etc. You would get that staying anywhere in Hilo. We didn’t mind it a bit!!

Great getaway

We had a great experience at the Paddlers Inn. The house was clean and as described. The neightborhood was quiet (except for some nature noises that we actually enjoyed) despite what I had read in other reviews. All communication with property owner was prompt and helpful. Although AC is not a normal thing in houses in Hawaii it was great to have the window units in the bedrooms to keep cool while sleeping. The location was great. Close to groceries and the beach. Easy to get around. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Home Base!

This clean and charming rental was the perfect place for our family of 4 to relax and enjoy our time in Hawaii. We liked walking to the shops, museums, restaurants, farmer's market, and grocery store. Other attractions (gorgeous beaches & parks, HI bioreserve & garden, Onomea Trail, exploring historic Honoka'a and staring in awe over the Waipio Valley, watching the sunset above the clouds on Muana Kea) were easy and scenic drives away. The home came with everything that we needed and more. We stayed in HI for 3 weeks, living at 4 different vacation rentals. They were all wonderful, but the amenities, thoughtfulness, and special touches that the hosts provided in this one were above and beyond compared to the others.

Charming!

This was our first time to Hilo. We found the rental to have lots of character. It had useful spaces, full kitchen (but no ice maker), laundry, wifi, great communication and hospitality. There are some loud creatures in the area and a fair amount of traffic - people coming and going in the neighborhood, traffic noise, etc. Having just come from the Volcano area where the creatures were deafening at night, the symphony of chirping was no bother to us The one personal downside was that the unit had no A/C. It offered fans but it just did not cool down much at night and we did not sleep well being hot all night. For this reason, we would not rent here again because we prefer the comfort of A/C at night. If you are ok with the warm breezes, curtains fluttering in the sunshine, and the comfort of fans, this is a great spot for you!
