Located in a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood, this is a peaceful place for an extended stay. Just a 10 minute drive from downtown and the medical center, this cozy cottage is perfect for traveling healthcare professionals, remote workers, or vacationers. Beach access on an inland lake is just across the street. Boat launch and local park within 1 mile. Various biking and hiking trails nearby. Fenced-in back yard with patio, bonfire pit, and furniture for outdoor dining. Home is located at a higher elevation than Traverse City proper, so light pollution does not interfere with stargazing. Room-darkening curtains in bedrooms to accommodate all sleeping schedules. Located between the Old Mission and Leelanau Peninsulas with easy access to either wine trail. For the true Northern Michigan experience during your stay, look no further.

I am a nurse, and most of my career has been in Oncology. I understand what it is like to work taxing hours and have difficult conversations, and have to process it all after getting home.
Before moving away from this property, I would come home and:
- cook a beautiful meal to eat on the patio in the fenced-in back yard
- have a bonfire
- go for a walk/run through the neighborhood or on the track at the park down the road
- carry my paddle board across the street to the lake
- sit on the beach and read a book
- do yoga on the patio
- curl up on the couch and watch a movie
- sit on the front porch and watch the sunset
- drive 10min to downtown to explore and decompress
- go snowshoeing behind the commons and stop at earthen ales
- draw the blackout curtains and simply go to sleep …
I love this property and it has served me, well.
