You can't top this location! Just 3 blocks from South Beach, picturesque downtown South Haven, and Kid's Corner. Enjoy being walking distance from everything South Haven has to offer while enjoying the comforts of home!

The Details:
The Beach Bungalow is a 930 sq ft charming historic home with high ceilings and original hardwood floors. It was built between 1897-1920 and is nestled in a quiet neighborhood perfect for a family getaway!

-The Beach Bungalow has 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and can sleep up to 6.
-Updated, non-smoking, and very clean home.
-Stackable washer and dryer are available for use.
-The kitchen is stocked with all essentials for a few meals in, though you'll want to make sure to try out the wide variety of restaurants downtown.
-Enjoy coffee on the porch in the morning, dinner on the patio out back, and evenings around the firepit!

Provisions:
For your stay, the following items are provided:
-Household: linens, bath towels, paper towel, toilet paper, hand soap, dish soap, dish detergent, laundry detergent
-Beach: beach chairs, beach cart, beach umbrella, beach toys
-Kitchen: spices and oil, basic condiments, coffee, creamer, pots, pans, cooking utensils, kitchenware, propane grill
-Baby/Child: pack and play, high chair, booster seat, baby gate, baby beach tent, changing pad, and bed rail

Everything is within walking distance; the public beach, the pier with a beautiful lighthouse, Downtown, the Farmers Market on Saturdays, and Riverwalk!

Perfect weekend getaway

I’ve stayed here before, and it’s just as wonderful as it was the first time. Great location, easy access to beach and town. My kids are teens so it’s a super easy spot for them to come and go on their own adventures. I look forward to our next stay here.

Clean, well located, cold ( in a good way)

This place is good for small groups and has what you need for a family stay. The AC works well, which is important of you are visiting in August.

Good location for walking downtown. You could walk to the beach but this might be challenging with kids and stuff. Nice backyard fire pit. The house is older, and it shows, but they have made nice appointments inside (modern AC thermostat, internet TV, etc). Some water, opened milk and jello were left in the fridge upon arrival, and a dirty towel was left on the bathroom door. Overall, the house was generally clean though.

Great location

This house was perfect for our family vacation. The location couldn’t be beat with a 5-10 min walk to downtown restaurants and 5-10 min walk to the beach. The outdoor space wonderful and we spent a lot of time out there. The house was stocked with everything we needed. We will definitely be back!

Just what the doctor ordered

Beautiful property in a quiet neighborhood. Within walking distance of Lake Michigan and downtown South Haven. Day trip to the local wineries and great food at local restaurants. Quiet girls weekend is just what we all needed to push through the next few weeks.

Great trip!

We stayed for three nights and had a very enjoyable time. The house was very clean and had everything we needed to be comfortable. It’s the perfect walking distance to the beach and downtown, and we appreciated all the beach toys/chairs/umbrellas/wagons. My kids (5 and 2) weee entertained by the indoor and outdoor toys and books the house provided. There was one instance where the company needed to be contacted outside of business hours and I was able to speak to someone quickly and they followed up with resolution. I would highly recommend!

Great Stay in a great home!

We loved the location of the home; pleasant and quiet, a convenient walk to South Beach and downtown, and two other homes where other groups of our family stayed. It was very clean, and even better supplied than they say. I.e., basic kitchen and cleaning products, some games and toys. Nice outdoor spaces, including seating and tables. Would love if there were some outdoor lighting in the back for after dinner chats. All communication was timely and clear! A real winner!

Couples Retreat

There were a total of 3 couples. We were concerned regarding the 1 bathroom but were able to work it out without any issues. However, I would recommend a mirror in each room. Overall, we had a GREAT experience! We literally didn't need to bring anything for the beach or the home. The place had everything that you could possibly think of and more. The area was close to EVERYTHING. We walked downtown and to the beach during our short stay. We enjoyed the firepit and patio set in the backyard during the evenings. We had a great experience.

Not What We Hoped

The property is in much rougher shape than it appears online. While we appreciated the location as well as the beach chairs and toys that were provided, there were a series of smaller issues that in the end, just ended up tarnishing the experience. The updates that have been done to the house seem poorly done and already worn out. For example, the shower tile appears to have been placed over previous tile and the floors throughout the house are uneven/slanted. The cleanliness of the property was also a concern. When we arrived, an extermination report was sitting on the kitchen table, there were stains on the fitted sheets, and some of the towels were worn out. One wash cloth was so worn that it got a hole in it mid use. We were given only enough hand soap for one night and resorted to using baby shampoo that we found under the sink to wash our hands. In the end, the house's location is great, but the interior just wasn't what we hoped for.
