Enjoy the shore, with nearby state parks in Ohio & Michigan with beautiful beaches. **New bed 9.17.24**. Relax in a cozy, newly renovated house with vaulted ceilings in the bedroom & bath, and all the modern conveniences, 10 minutes from downtown Toledo nightlife, concerts, Mudhens Baseball, Walleye Hockey, ice-skating in winter, rollerblade in summer at Glass City Metropark, world famous Toledo Zoo, or Toledo Museum of Art, symphony, restaurants and shopping, yet nestled on a small peninsula away from the hustle & bustle. Bring your boat and use the boat launch a quarter mile away. Enjoy our spacious deck with a 2 person hot tub, or roast marshmallows at the fire pit after a day of boating, fishing or even snowmobiles in winter, or play board games and connect your smart phone to the stereo system, or watch you favorite prime smart tv movies.

Sterling State Park in Monroe, MI is 17 miles away and has a beautiful beach and hiking, birding, nature trails. Enjoy a family vacation or a fun weekend getaway with the best Toledo & Southern Michigan has to offer!

The newly renovated dock has a kayak launch & ladder for easy access. The water is deep enough for a pontoon, deck boat or mid sized speedboat. There is a public park and basketball court just a few houses down. There are 2 kayaks available for use. Please use life vests when kayaking. Enjoy the wading herons, waterfowl, and eagles. Don't miss this peaceful retreat.

Kitchen has filtered water, a Keurig coffee & tea bar, gas stove, oven, microwave, pots, pans, backing sheet, large crab pot, and everything you need for cooking, or use the gas outdoor grill for homemade barbecue. Front loading washer and dryer on the premises, with detergent and dryer sheets. house has central heat and air.

There are stairs at all entrances, not handicap accessible. Note that the kayaks and dock are not available from October to April. The bistro lights on the deck have been removed, but there are porch lights.

Vacation rental insurance is recommended. This is a non smoking, non vaping property. Please, no guests, fireworks, parties, incense or candles. capacity for this rental is 3 people.

Security cameras are on driveway and dock, but not outdoor decks, or inside. Any attempt to move or cover camera's will result in immediate eviction with no refund. Thank you.

Our stay was perfect. Communication with host was superb. Property was immaculate, tastefully decorated with a comfortable bed too. Kitchen was well stocked. We loved sitting on the back deck and watching the sunset every night. It was lovely waking up to the waterfront and the many birds. Close to many excursions and we loved seeking an adventure everyday. Handels homemade peach ice cream is the best:)Hope to come back again, since we didn’t want to leave!

This was such a cute little waterfront and gave us the stay-cation we were looking for! I was able to use one the kayaks and enjoyed seeing eagles flying overhead and diving for fish. We were able to enjoy a fire and make dinner on it, and we got to watch movies and play games while it stormed too. Brenda was in communication very easily and we are thinking of returning sometime in the winter! If you're looking for a simple, full accommodations place on the water, this is for you!

The property was as described. Very clean and well maintained. The host was very helpful and informative. Communication was excellent. This was our first time visiting the Lake Erie region and Maumee Bay. The dock was perfect for our 17’ boat. The fishing was good on Lake Erie. It’s about a 10 minute ride out to Lake Erie from the dock. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

This is a Beautiful little cabin on the water that’s so close to everything Michigan and Ohio has to offer. The bed was unbelievably comfortable. This was a super clean, nice place to relax.

I unfortunately had to cancel my trip because of emergency at work, but the host was very helpful and nice to communicate with. I was under a lot of stress already and having a timely and kind communication at the moment was very appreciated. I hope I'll get a chance to stay there in the future!

Amenities were wonderful had lots of options for activities staying at the rental and downtown was only fifteen minutes away making it a quick drive to activities outside of where we were staying. Very nice intimate little cabin for me and my partner to celebrate a belated Valentine's Day staying cozy in the snow.

The property was exactly as described and was one of the cleanest houses we've ever rented. Our host was kind and helpful, even reaching out with fireworks viewing recommendations since we were staying in the area July 4.The dock was a great place to just sit and catch a breeze (it was unseasonably hot when we stayed). The location was convenient to Toledo, Detroit, Canada, Sandusky. If there was one negative, I would say it was the highway noise. We live in the country, though, so it probably would not bother anyone who was used to it. Of course, being that near the highway makes it incredibly easy to get places. I'd highly recommend this listing!

Brenda was a very responsive and helpful host. The waterfront cottage was absolutely spotless - and so well appointed with everything we needed for a weekend get-away. It’s a wonderful spot to watch herons, Canadian geese and other water birds. Best of all we saw a bald eagle soar right in front of the dock on our last evening!
