Incredible location in addition to being a well appointed, beautiful, clean home with so much room. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with nights spent outside on the patio and the roof deck.

Impeccable beautiful home a block from the beach.

We had a perfect stay at this beautiful home. Everything was spotless and new (kitchen, baths, bedding). It’s in a charming neighborhood right by a lovely little beach.

Enjoyable Stay at Old Lyme Beach House

We had a great long weekend in this lovely renovated house with lots of charm! Although it was too warm out yet, we enjoyed being just steps away from the beach for some nice walks. This home had everything we needed and more. We would definitely rent again.

Lovely Family House

We very much enjoyed our stay. The house is full of charm and has lots of modern touches. The kitchen had all of the necessary supplies for cooking, and we made full use of it. The downstairs area was very spacious. the neighborhood was quiet and it was a short walk to the beach. We were there for Coast Guard Academy graduation, and it was easy to get to and from but still had a nice place to relax between events.

Our stay at Old Lyme Shores beach house was wonderful. The location was very close to the beach which was nice for our family. The house was very clean and well maintained. The open layout was perfect for our family. The kitchen was nicely stocked and we really appreciated the ice machine and the air conditioning. Sheldon was very quick to respond whenever we had questions. The only thing that was a problem was that our garbage and recycle bin were full when we arrived on Friday and garbage pickup was not until Tuesday. I think for a house that sleeps 10 it might make sense to have 2 garbage and 2 recycle bins available.Thank you to Sheldon for sharing his beautiful home.

Excellent beach cottage in lovely beach community

This is lovely recently remodeled home in a fantastic beach community in Old Lyme, CT. We had a lovely time staying here, and highly recommend anyone book this rental. The house is a few houses away from the beach, there are excellent food options available nearby (Old Saybrook and Niantic offer some excellent choices), and the neighborhood (at least when we stayed there), was quiet and friendly. Pro tips for people staying here, the microwave controls rotate forward on the top panel, if you're tall, maybe take down the hanging light between the downstairs bathroom and the stairs (I ran into that so many times), and go check out Pasta Vita in Old Saybrook for some excellent, easy warm up meals.

Thanksgiving on the Connecticut Shore

We enjoyed a beautiful visit to Old Lyme for the Thanksgiving holiday. The living space on the main floor is spacious and the kitchen is well stocked (only thing missing were wine glasses). We enjoyed family time together and prepared our Thanksgiving dinner in the large kitchen. Our children loved having their own spaces upstairs and the beds were comfortable. The beach is just a short walk away with stunning sunsets! We were visiting an elderly family member this time, but would love to come back for a proper family vacation. The house and location are perfect! I recommend booking this beautiful home -- you will not regret it.

Perfect spot by the water

We chose Sheldon’s home to stay in for our annual family getaway. There were 5 adults and 2 children (ages 6 and 2). All of us fit in the house comfortably and we loved the open layout. The location was great as it was just a short walk to the beach (1 minute tops). Although we stayed here in early spring and it wasn’t quite swimming weather, we still enjoyed the beach vibes - it was very pretty and made us wish we could come back and visit in the summer. The bedrooms were clean and the beds were comfy. Two of the bedrooms had lofted twin beds which made it perfect for sleeping the amount of people we had but I recommend kids sleep on top! They felt a little too wobbly for an adult to be up there. During our stay, we had to reach out to Sheldon and he was extremely responsive, answering our call right away. Overall, this home served the perfect purpose - a quick family getaway to the shore. Thank you for a great stay!
