Fantastic Views
This place has views that are close to the best on the island, especially from the kitchen, main bathroom and the back deck. Looking east to St John and the BVI's from the back deck is magic.
The kitchen is adequately equiped to cook any meal, and the common living area is well air conditioned even in the heat of the day. The bedrooms however are not as well cooled. The main bedroom has an older a/c that keeps the bed area of the bedroom adequately cooled, but the rest of the room and the open bathroom are quite warm and humid, even with the unit running continuously. The back bedroom's a/c unit is tiny and couldn't cool off the room adequately for comfortable sleep for the entire week we were there. Admittedly, we were there in mid-August when it was quite hot and humid, and the prevailing winds seemed to suck the cold air out of the house. Also, both bedrooms have a louvered wooden window that leaked cold air even when closed.
Water pressure in the house was low enough that only one use could be handled at a time, be it the shower, kitchen sink, dishwasher, clothes washer, etc. We think this is probably endemic to the remote location and the use of cisterns that is required across the island.
If lukewarm bedrooms don't bother you, then this place is a good one.
The property manager Savannah was fantastic, and very helpful.
